>>496920186Hello.
We had some neat discussion points last thread about why people post the things they do. Instead of continuing there since it's past the bump-limit, I figured I'd throw my 2 cents here:If I never knew about /aids/ I probably still would have been writing the same stories I do now, so posting screens doesn't really affect my desire to write. Sometimes I go a few threads without any of my posts (written or pics) being replied to, but it doesn't discourage me.I guess I see sharing screenshots and replying to people's questions as a low-effort, low-reward activity. I don't expect gratitude or acknowledgement, but I don't go out of my way to really do it. I'm getting vague memories from some cultural psychology course I took years back about what motivates people, and I think humans are uniquely driven by a desire to share and instruct, vs even our closest primate relatives.Anyways yeah, flashbacks to that crap. Love the threads.Love the dog.Love the multipart storyposts.Simple as.

Erato decided to start the chapter with a freaking made-up quote. It's kind of cute, but feels out of place since none of the other chapters did that. How does /aids/ feel about starting their stories with quotations? I think Lovecraft did it sometimes, and I love that little bastard to bits.>>496931775Sorry to hear anon, I miss my precious Pilotfish II.

>>496933184I hadn't thought of its influence on generation, but that's a great point. Maybe I'll start experimenting with that. Do you use real quotations from relevant stories? Or do you treat it like made-up author and title names where it just sorta WORKS even though it's meaningless?>>496934000Do you use it yourself? And if so, how's it worked out? I've never thought of doing it, but I feel like it's something you either do with every chapter, or only at the beginning of the story.
How sloppy is your Coom slop?Is there a coherent structure and character arcs, or is it mostly just scenes of fucking?
>>496934993The last time I tried, it went like this:>like 5 lorebooks, explaining the protagonist, the setting, the scifi tech that was relevant to the premise, the rival, and the historical event that keeps getting brought up throughout the other lorebooks>~300 tokens of ATTG and memory>~1000 token starting prompt before I hit Send>3 chapters of build-up>2 paragraphs of sex>now what?It was disappointing.
>>496934993Wouldn't go as far as to say there are character arcs, but there is usually structure with buildup and transition between the dirty parts. By volume most of the story is the dirty parts, but you need some glue to keep them coherent, you know?

NAI really should make Erato gooder!Edit 4. My wife's black boyfriend took her out again. But hey! I have more time to improve my writing!Edit 5. How do I ban shiver down my spine?
>>496934280I don't do it very often (my favorite way to start is on dialogue, usually a little snippet of banter between characters that I write out and then introduce setting), but the times I have it's been a mix of both real quotes from whatever that I felt was thematically relevant, and making up a quote and then just letting the AI name whoever said it because I hate naming shit. I've also used song lyrics a few times like a 2000s fanfic writer>>496934993I always promise myself this time will have an actual story, but I usually devolve into sloppy vignettes of fucking because I decide to turn every story thing overcomplicated and then I get annoyed about having to manage the thing I did to my own damn self. I kind of pretend there's a story going on because I carry a few elements around between scenes when something that interests me pops up, but I wouldn't call it a real story
>>496935963idgi
>>496934993I need some semblance of a plot, even if it's just a thin thread to string together the coom scenes. I try to slowly move things along so that I don't just repeat the same scenes.I had one story that I ended up writing myself into a corner, and I had to quietly shelve and abandon it. I didn't want to rewrite anything, but the plot progressed to the point where I said to myself, "well, everyone's fucked (metaphorically and physically), so I guess that's a wrap."
>>496932968Holy gem!
How long until we have LLM RPGs
>>496935402>2 paragraphs of sexWell there's your problem. Even in a oneshot where the whole point is coom, you have to make sure your sex scenes are in sufficient detail. You've fleshed out everything else. Let this scene, too, have time to breathe. Unless it built up to rutting a barmaid against the side of a building and then moving on, your tone going into it should influence the pace of the scene.Though, that being said, it seems like you're disappointed that what you started for coom grew an entire story around it instead. You've built a story, a world, characters to care about. This, too, can be character interaction and can carry similar weight. If your conversations are more than two paragraphs, so too should your sex scenes. Mind you, if you intend to continue writing the story afterward, be careful that that scene doesn't seep too much into your story (perhaps some of the issue is that the story seeped into your sex scene and thus it wanted to keep talking about the story).
>>496936820at this point I think never evar
>>496936442>so that I don't just repeat the same scenes.Yeah, I get this. After you've had a character get fucked in the ass multiple times, it starts to get pretty hard to make it feel new and exciting again. Also doesn't help when the model starts looping the same old phrases again and again
>>496936915real niggas can coom to 2 sentences of sex thoughever
>>496936915The majority was AI generated, and wrapped itself fast without my input. That's why it disappointed me. Yeah rerolling would have worked, but I was disappointed already by then.
>>496936932Fuck I can't wait that long
Why haven't you switched to claude yet?
>>496937194Then the point to intervene was before it got there. If the whole story went quickly, you may want to have fleshed your prompt out a bit. If it's going from point to point without much in between or much detail, it does tend to do that.
>>496916487Could you be more of a newfag? 4chan is and always was the home of shitposters. We pioneered that shit. >no u>u mad >nice try ondore
>>496936187I also have that latter problem. Tonight when I get home I'm going to see how well (or if she even can) follow a chapter list. I was going to start small with like 10 or so to see if Erato could handle chapters in general and if she would wrap up the story by chapter 10.If it works, I can just let the AI manage it.
Apparently my writing style is too close to Monogatari for Hermes.
>>496938128even ai doesn't know what copyright is
>>496938128How the fuck? Monogatari doesn't even work in English, since it relies on a bunch of esoteric double-meanings that only work if you wink at moon-runes while tipsy and sleep-deprived
>>496934993I'm probably in the minority here since it's been a long time since I've done proper coom slop. But for coom stuff I absolutely need some kind of plot, even if it's hentai logic.Right now, the story I'm writing was supposed to be a slow burn romance, but I got so caught up into going slow that the only remotely romantic thing that happened is that the characters held hands for a couple seconds—once. So yeah, I'm doing the whole thing with character arcs and autistic worldbuilding because I kind of have an idea of where I want to take things.Honestly, I dropped this story several times in the past because the AI had too much trouble keeping things straight. Maybe it's just the rose tinted glasses from a new model, but I feel like with Erato for once I'm not actively fighting against the AI to keep things coherent.

>>496944601It means the earlier stuff fell out of context. If you click on the Current Context button, you can see what's still in the story's window. Stuff further back won't be remembered or referenced, but the story keeps going.
>>496944601AI only looks at whatever's in its context, so if there's anything outside of it that's important to you, make sure to keep it somewhere in your current context (note it down in your memory/ lorebooks)
>>496944924>>496945385Thanks. I guess my story/setting is simple enough that it doesn't really matter that 1/3 of the not referenced. Or it's because I'm steering pretty heavily.
>>496945497>Or it's because I'm steering pretty heavily.I'd bet it's this. Your story pulls ~2-4 chapters' worth of context from those tokens, so if it remains coherent and lines up with earlier chapters, it just means you're doing a good job steering it.
>>496945497only the last like 500 tokens of context actually matter
>>496934993>How sloppyIt's purple.Niggers here complaining their generations are too short or their scenes are too fast, meanwhile I'm drowning in too much prose. Not shown is the second and very long and kinda underwhelming sex scene (7 times the length of this screenshot) where I was letting the AI go off the rails just to see what she'd come up with. The AI faffed around for so long I was getting blue balls and told it "they are now fucking" so it actually went somewhere. Girl had too much virgin energy and was too much of a pussy to get dicked, boy had too much virgin energy and had the density of a neutron star; meaning it was going to keep in the sexual tension "will they wont they" foreplay stage until the heat death of the universe. And I think at some point earlier I let "to X did the Y" poison the context and the AI latched onto it and spammed it anytime someone did anything.Truth be told it's better to have too much than too little. There's stuff to work with, and I can trim the fat and restructure paragraphs as needed. That one anon a dozen threads ago was right, verbose is a horrible tag.

Now that the dust has settled, what is the consensus on 70b? worth resubbing for?
Maybe it's because my actual writing isn't good, but I am really enjoying both NAI's and AID's 70B, even though both have the slop issue, I love the added detail the model has over both Karya and AID's Mixtral. One example is a prompt I have where the character is supposed to be very awkward and has trouble communicating through words, with Kayra and AID Mixtral, she'd just blush and cuddle, but with Erato and AID Llama, she does weird things like tracing along the reader's thigh or nuzzling and nibbling without me guiding it or giving examples.Though it may be a severe skill issue on my part too.

How are author tags in Erato? Right now interestingly enough, it has affected content more than the writing style for me. It amusingly enough drew characters from that author's works rather than pick up the writing style.
>>496960656>drew characters from that author's works rather than pick up the writing style.I think that happens with all models. Like I tried instructing Claude to write like JK Rowling, and the stories veered into magic wands and hippogriffs. For Kayra and Erato, I found that if your context is almost empty, it'll latch heavily on the author's actual lore and worlds. But if you write something unrelated to the author's work, it understands that you don't want straight-up fanfiction.

Yes, we have multimodalism and reinforcement learning now, but those don't really seem to increase the actual intelligence, and jerryrigging something up with fragile pieces seems like a surefire way to cause the entire thing to collapse in on itself.Maybe Lecun's idea of world models has some merit.

>>496969029Okay bro. You'd have a point for things like AI art on traditional art platforms, but the club is literally for AI prompts. In my opinion it doesn't matter if its AI generated or handtyped because, realistically, what is the difference between ten AI prompts and ten low effort meme theme prompts posted to the club? We storypost AI slop and critique the aforementioned AI slop.If they are what you yourself would slot into a new context and start playing from then they're just as valid. I'd agree with you that you'd be polluting it with trash IF all you did was print out some untested, unproofread garbage and uploaded it without reading the whole thing. Go back and reread those genned prompts and run through with a fine tooth comb and touch them up. Playtest them once or thrice to see if they give you the results and direction you had in mind, and if it passes for you then it probably passes for someone else. AI is a tool as well, let it streamline your workflow and help you brainstorm. You can't possibly do worse than Vorefag. But to answer your request you can create a rentry which is piss easy just google it, or upload a .txt to catbox which is also piss easy, you cant edit things uploaded to catbox though.>>49697353742 does it for me. With each alteration she forced onto the base code of his existence came a twinge of resistance on his part... a feeble push-back against being molded like putty between her capricious fingers.>But there was no stopping this headstrong imp. No halting her momentum as she carved out a permanent niche for herself right alongside his own fractured sense of identity. Soon enough their mental presences had bled together to such an inseparable degree that he couldn't distinguish where exactly one ended and the other began anymore!>All at once, Katt yanked away from the fray, leaving Anon gasping and reeling behind in her wake as she cackled gleefully at having accomplished yet another "great victory" by her standards.>"I'll see you again real soon! Bye bye for now!">The mental link cut off abruptly with that parting statement.

>>497145631the shading and coloring is more complex, but I feel like the lighting is too much. Besides her underthighs, her face is the darkest part of her and it just draws your eyes away from the center of the image. The lighting issues were caused by my inclusion of the "backlighting" tag, which from my experience can yield some great results, but in this case it messed up the colors of an image which was already fine. That's another thing; I think part of the problem was that I was using image to image instead of starting from a clean slate. Modifying images seems to produce sloppier results with regard to color and lighting. Perhaps this is the price you pay for convenience in setting up your composition.

My biggest sttength when I used to DM was my improv, to the point that players could latch onto some dumb throwaway line, decide it was a plot hook, and I'd actually be able to whip up a dungeon on the fly for them to pursue that thread. Not sure if I can recapture that magic, with players that embraced the open-world collaborative nature of my settings without trying to suggest shit for the sake of messing with me.I'm thinking of repurposing a story I did for the setting and worldbuilding. Indoor scenes are a gold-plated bitch, and this one is still pretty abstract despite my efforts, but the majority of it being hidden behind the couch helps sell the illusion. I probably could have stood to tone down the background lights a bit more if the skin tone was going to be this dark, but whatever.

>>497216073Fug, that's the thing, I see everything as "important" and want it active.
>novelai bad>hangs around the NAI community for at least 16 hours a dayShould we be flattered rather than disgusted?
>>497216214It gets worse when you realize he was hanging out on the NAI discord on his weird burner account.
I'm not even your usual schizo, I'm Gojo.
>>497216073Doubleposting, but could I put the general idea in memory, and then the detailed stuff in lorebook? So memory would have>character 1, 2, 3>plot and small history>settingAnd lorebook would have>character 1 details>character 2 details>character 3 details>setting history>setting detailsIs that a better way to do it?
>>497216303>weird burner accountWhat happened?

>>497214068Style is for indicating the style of the next context, not for determining the style of the previous context like you're doing.
>>497216657Wanna play a steam game? This is still a genuine offer.
>>497216509I would remove character details from memory entirely, only the general plot and setting there.
>>497217104Thanks, could you go through the reason for that with me?
>>497217001What the fuck? I don't even know you.
>>497217325Redundancy. You don't need to keep reminding the model (since memory is always activated) that Anon is a faggot if you already have a lorebook for Anon.
>>497217325Erato slo novel lose use different model 32kncpntext good
The horror will end when I get when I get what I deserve. I am a pious man. A righteous man. I've done so much good for the lord. Where I my reward? Where?
>>497216303I got banned a couple of days ago for... what I can only assume to be suspicion of being WF on there. Hopefully they banned more than just me, otherwise if it's just the one, I can 100% confirm they banned the wrong account since (unfortunately) I'm not WF, I'm just a vanilla lurker that's more active on other servers. If they did a more thorough search and did actually manage to ban him, disregard.
