Now that the dust has settled, would you resub for Erato?
I partially take back what I said about AID's 70B compared to Erato. Once Erato has a good enough base to work with, the quality of the output goes up exponentially.AID's 70B is still great in that it's foolproof and can give great output from the barest of input.

>>497221516I'm glad there are still some goblin fuckers around these parts.
Greetings, citizens. I am a humble scribe, sent by the King of Larion, to ask: does anyone know why there has been a recent boom in the goblin population? The goblin men seem in a horrible mood for some reason too.
>>497221438This is probably how an LLM would view every world it writes if it was actually sentient like a human.
>>497223553Well m'lord, might be the recent quest given by the king, eh? Told the militia men to lay the goblins he did
>>497222470I like them a lot. The only problem is, whatever I write degrades into gobbo breeding. Thats why I dont post about them. I got nothing to share.

>>497225082So wait, do the mothers die from massive amounts of their bodily resources being instantly consumed by goblin fetuses?
>>497225210What about when goblins use humans as a sex slave race?
>>497225371That's why rape correction was needed for the entire race. Humans do it better.
>>497225238>>497225338I'm exaggerating about minutes, but multiple goblins can be born from one girl in like a week. As for how long they take to mature or how it effects the girl, I dunno.
>>497225338Oh and they don't die from the pregnancy, but the goblins do end up killing them. Why not keep them as breeding stock? Cause the Goblin Slayer universe is essentially two edgy gods playing/DMing a DnD game against each other and influencing events to give characters dark backstories and such.
>>497225082No bonus points from me. My story is just domesticating a wild gobbo that took a fancy to me. Its 1 on 1 only.

>>497248991It's not "reverse engineer." What you're doing is getting the styles of the previous context but you then use those styles for the next context.
>>497250920Just add a dinkus on the end of your story and start it off with [ Style:Ignore any time skip based tags or POV tags, of course. But those do work when you want them to. Do you slap a dinkus down and switch from prose to chat?No shit, Sherlock. >>497251582Neat, what I had in lorebook was[ Style: detailed, vivid, sensory, slow burn, long dialogue, frequent dialogue ]And what I got was[ Style: descriptive, slow-paced, flowery prose, with a focus on dialogue. ]

Classic Pereanth stuff.Do you guys know any resources on crow-related stuff? Surprisingly, Erato does intelligent crows quite well. She makes them expressive and full of antics. I doubt any of you played Dragon Quest Monster, but Gold/Gem Slime was an endgame metal slime variant. Like the blurb on the back of a novel. Then make these 2 entries in your lorebook:1) An always-on dinkus that separates the memory and LB entries from the Story (I just leave it at insertion order 1, rest default)>***2) a style entry that's set to appear after your lowest dinkus (picrel), with *** as its activation key.>[ Style: vivid, detailed ]That's pretty much all you need I think. It's an upgrade for what I was paying before.>>497301113beat me to it
>>497301209What preset do you use, anon? I'm still juggling Dragonfruit and Zany Scribe default ones, but I've heard 42, listener, and true smoothing are good. Not sure why I'm so reluctant to try the discord ones. I guess because there's not a consensus on the 'best' one yet, like how most people recommended ProWriter.
>>497301454Currently using listener, gave it a try after an anon last thread shilled it to me. So far I like it but I'm mainly just trying to get a feel for each of them. I'm still at the early stage where I cant really tell you what's best for what other than I'm not getting so much abysmal dogshit. The important thing is that these things were meant to be swapped out on the fly, and like how cosmic cube and its derivatives were different from writer's daemon depending on situation. Cube was good starting from scratch and after chapter breaks but can fill your shit with adverbs, but once you got the ball rolling and style how you wanted you went with daemon or phoenix.
>>497297261Sorry, mixture of tiredness and tech illiteracy. People have made presets to mitigate the tag nonsense. An anon made a preset story that prepped it for adventure mode, and few others for other formats like raw stories.

>>497301113one question on lorebooks, do i just throw ---- into the start of each one? also, how should i utilize AN using this preset? i notice its blank
>>497307310one thing you can do is go to the right sidebar, advanced, edit context settings, and scroll down into default lorebook settings. put ----\n into the prefix, then every new lorebook entry will be properly set up (you can reset the placement settings of your existing ones, but it's a one-by-one process)also in edit context settings you can put ***\n in the prefix of story
>>497307310Yeah, each lorebook entry should be like this (if you use prose style):>---->Anon was a curious fellow with a love for fat-bootied latinas and binge-drinking on the weekend... etc etcor this (if you use attributes)>---->Anon>Type: character>Attributes: blah blah>Anon was the kind of guy who hated carrying loose change etc etc...As for A/N, who knows dude. I don't use it anymore, but other anons claim it's more usable than ever. My beef with it is it injects the text into an arbitrary point x lines from the output, which can put it halfway through a paragraph and lead to weird outputs.I just leave it blank, but people here with positive experiences might be able to guide us both in its usage.
>>497307310I thought it was supposed to be formatted like:----[ *insert text* ]Meanwhile, memory is---[ ATTG ] [ S: # ]

It focuses on coherency first, but it usually just generates slop>Dragonfruit: A bit like Writer Daemon. It's creative without going full retarded. It's good as a main preset, and if it suddenly stops making sense, just switch to zany scribe for a while.Dragonfruit has the plus that it follows instructions better, even the more specific ones, I think it doesn't takes the context into account that much so it focuses more in what is directly at the bottom of the prompt.

Well it's been long enough, I suppose. How does NAI's new model compare, especially to other models like Opus?I'm sure it's been asked a million times already, but might as well see what early hour US posters think.
>>497362237I've played with opus and sonnet 3.0. Compared to those, I think Erato's excellent, but it helps I can write decentish. And as someone said, I can personally compare it to old Summer Dragon since I was there (though with shitter writing skills. Like I cared back then with the magic of it all). Yet I find its context size to be sorely lacking. I can't let fun convos linger that long or world building build lest it consumes more than a third of the context, forcing me to double back. That sucks dick. 8k context is barely enough for two compact chapters for me or a long one (my smaller stories in Claude were around 24k, max 42k). And that's not including the formatted lorebooks and formatted memory I need to further explain shit to the AI.Overall, great, but you're going to need to wrangle to keep the story/details consistent between chapters and cut back to the bare essentials for the sake of Erato's short 8k context memory.
>>497363803So, are you saying you can't notice a reasonable difference between Erato and Opus? Because that's a very high level of praise if that's what you're implying.
>>497363803Shoving enough worldbuilding into your story that it eats a significant chunk of your context but not needing using most of it is some idort behavior.
>>497362237It's sloppy. It's good for its beak, but it's still sloppy.$25 a month for that is a bit pricey if you don't plan to use imagegen as well.
>>497362237Gotta be honest, it's been a fucking struggle. I've resisted the formatfags and their brainwashing since NAI first got off the ground, and so far it's been a winning battle, but I fear with Erato the days of prose-only prosperity might be coming to an end.Erato comes with a lot of childhood trauma thanks to her upbringing in Zucc's Laboratory. Her tokenizer's fucked up, and she's got all kind of weird quirks (newlines at the end of most outputs, before they band-aid'ed that shit) on top of a short attention span that only takes a few shitty token picks to activate like an itchy mosquito bite. The Turk Sauce does what it can to smooth over some of these wrinkles, but it really doesn't help as much this time.Erato kind of feels like a NAI Final Exam. If you skipped the unit on bans and biases, or slept through the lecture on context structuring, you're gonna eat shit and escape with a C- story at best. All my attempts at running old scenarios where the tech level amounts to a divider between memory and the prompt end in phenomenally clunky, unsatisfying outputs which I find myself "bearing with" rather than enjoying. All this is even more frustrating when you get those peeks into the increased brainpower. When it's going right, and Erato decides to give you that 70B sloppy toppy, she does in fact run circles around Kayra and can sketch out entire scenes/plot twists/banter blocks without any assistance. But I find myself hunting for these moments more than I joyfully stumble into them. Thus I am increasingly fighting the specter of burnout. A simple succubus hog-cranking is now a herculean affair which requires ATTG, segmented memory, choosing your S: level, fucking with bans and biases, and gear-shifting between a series of underwhelming presets as the story takes shape just to keep the whole stupid ball of wax rolling forward. The death knell is that ALL the models are slower now, and token streaming is clunky as all hell. It's kind of killing me.

>>497363994Pretty much, but I do feel **some** difference in the training data since Erato lacks some of the AO3 spice/knowledge I was fond of. Had an interest in MyHero for a bit and decided to do a story. Took some wrangling, but I liked this.>*At Toi's deferential words of gratitude, Tsuyu blinks slowly—though her flat features betray a subtle flush of pleasure at the compliment. The frog-girl seems briefly at a loss for words, her long tongue flicking out in a subconscious gesture.*>"It was no problem, ribbit." *She finally replies, tone as measured and tranquil as ever despite the tinge of pink dusting her pale cheeks.* "I just said what needed to be said.">*Nearby, Uraraka lets out a slightly strained giggle, clearly trying to lighten the mood in the wake of Bakugo's confrontational outburst. The auburn-haired girl nudges Toi with her elbow, offering him a warm smile.*>"Well, at least you got a proper 'Bakugo Welcome' to U.A. on your first day!" *She jokes.* "That guy has a way of making quite the...explosive first impression.">*Yaoyorozu clears her throat softly, straightening her posture with a look of polite discomfort.*>"While I don't condone his brutish behavior, Bakugo does have...a certain uncompromising drive that will likely serve him well as a hero." *The refined beauty struggles to find a diplomatic way to describe their hotheaded classmate.*>*But it's the sight of Mina stepping forward and draping an arm around Toi's shoulders that immediately draws everyone's attention. Toi tenses as the pinkette flashes her new friend a teasing grin, giving him an exaggerated wink.*>"Well I for one am just glad our rugged mountain man was around to remind Bakugo not to get too big for his britches!" *She announces, to a few scandalized looks from more conservative students.* "We can't all be lucky enough to have such a prime slice of Grade-A Beefcake on our side, am I right ladies?"

Now that the dust has settled, What caused Erato to fail?
>>497346209I'm using Douglas Adams for this. I've never read one of his books, but apparently they're more straight to the point like this.Tphe adverbs come and go, it depends on the preset I'm using. They're not a nuisance for me at the moment honestly, not as much as they were with Kayra
>>497368008being uninspiring, boob
>>497365139If the jist of this post is "It takes to much work to be fun" then yeah, I agree. I want to write a story > I open NAI > I stare at the blank space, the empty lorebooks, the placebo presets > I close NAI.
>>497365139I don't get this. I just write a bit to start, leave my preset on Wilder, and swap/edit tokens every few outputs, and I don't have to touch any formatting.
>>497368475I'm happy until I hit a GPTism and then that completely kills it for me
>>497365139I don't touch the settings either, just use a template, there's only 3 things to touch. Your preset, an ATTG template, and Style. And half of that you can copy from another story besides finetuning the tags.
>>497368008Using Meta's model. Not all 70B are equal, and Meta's 70B is filled with so much shit in it that the finetune couldn't save it.Ironically, if they, and the community, trusted Sage and trained Kayra v2, or some 30-ish model, instead, the result will be better, faster, cheaper, and everyone will be happy.
>>497368527Personal preference, but I really dislike Wilder's outputs, and I hate doing token surgery every couple of sentences. I'm extremely demanding when it comes to coherence, which is its own problem I suppose.>>497368475Pretty much, yeah. That's the summary.>>497368635Yeah, even when it's going right all it takes is a spine shiver for me to start tasting bile.>>497369152Perhaps this is a good solution. I've run templates in the past and I have yet to work one out for Erato, so that could be part of my problem. Right now though I can't seem to find any setup which actually removes my main complaints about the model's actual performance. Like even when I give in and do all the formatshit Erato is still a pain in the ass to keep on track in a consistent fashion. Presets are likewise very frustrating since the llama tokenizer is absolutely insane and you gotta create counter-intuitive crack smoking bullshit to try and bleed out all the cliches and stupid crap. I really want a set and forget preset, or at least the ability to generate multiple outputs with different presets so I don't have to do all this churn work and toggle swapping to see what my options are. ATTG also fails to blow my mind, even after trying a bunch of different authors and injecting all manner of real and made-up tags. Style seems to help sometimes, but it's also shoddy and I keep vacillating between having it up front and all the way in the back.
I dont even think they care, I think this whole thing was about launching a 70b model as a vanity project, so they could pat themselves on the back and say "look how far we have come, we made it. we host a big boy model." They should have listened to sage.

>>497492341I wanted a fiction where Baldwin is cured by holy power, kills Guy and Raymond, and fucks his sister
>>497492692You can have that fiction right now if you prompted for it. Whether it's good is a different matter.
>>497492957Yeah but that's why I'm wondering if I should try it when I get home today
>>497492368I have to assume some of our schizos are just larping because it's infuriating but I think CF or WF are really insane.
Who teh fuck is Cf and Wf?
>>497493845A convenient scapegoat conjured up by cabal delusions.
>>497493943You'd like me to be you, wouldn't I?
New thread:>>497493950>>497493950
>>497493048You can especially tell when there's a bunch of short posts almost exactly 1:30 apart.
>>497493845CF: Claudefag. I don't actually remember his lore but I have to assume he proclaimed Claude was superior to NAI and wouldn't shut up about itWF: Whinefag. Hater of dogs. The avatar of a whiny blonde girl. Has actually sent death threats to Southern. Banned every so often but evades. I believe he came to prominence during the Kayra or Clio era, but it could have been Euterpe, time just goes to mush with whinestory.
>>497494060Whine baked this, look at the time. It's too obvious. You played yourself. Now be patient for the real bread. I'll have it baked soon.
>>497494185we still do bread wars? been a while
>>497494060>page 1
>>497494343I will make a resl thread, on untained by the cabal. Nobody cares about AI Roguelike. Just give me a moment.
>>497494427om god?
>>497494343Yes, we still do bread wars, as clearly evidenced by the one screaming about cabals and trying very hard to incite one.
>>497494423That's how you're can tell whine based it.
New>>497494682>>497494682
>>497494501Whine baked that thread at page 1. He's the one trying to start stuff. I'm just pointing out the obvious lol what are you shill? Did you bake that? Did you?
>>497494698Why are you baking another thread?
so what, we just play chicken and see who makes a thread people like?
>>497494781Because yours sucks lol. Too early. Too shilly.
>>497494818You use the one that got baked and posted at 751, the same as any other thread.
>>497494818No, we just don't use the one made by the one currently melting down about shills and cabals.
>>497494896not him but no other thread that isn't like, /gig/ or /xivg/ bakes their shit at 751, they bake at page 8 or lower like mannered people.
>>497494901So we use: >>497494682? Got it.
>>497495005This thread isn't like other threads. We've always baked around 750 since the shitposter started fucking with our OPs. You'd know that if you lurked more.
>>497495014Yes. We use that one. The other one is ahistorical and complaining about my superior bread.
>>497495132And this thread is dogshit even by /vg/ standards so I don't know what your point is, I only show up to lurk and grab presets when people post about them
>>497495283Fuck off.
>>497495132The shitposter? There is no shitposter. It's all in your head.
>>497495321no u
Why are people like this?
>>497495929Shut up, hick. I bet you made that armor thread.
Use the Blackman thread. It'd the real thread. Do not use the other thread. The cabal Madd the firdg one.
>>497496181What if the cabal made both threads? We need a third one free of bias.
>>497495929the ai demons got them
>>497496323Thats impossible because I made the Blackman thread. The cabal can't touch me. They can't touch this. Dundundundun.
Which thread should we migrate to?
>>497496483The one with a black person going ah shit here we go again duh. That's the one which represents the thread best.
>>497496483whichever one hasn't been deleted by jannies when this thread falls off the board
>>497496574hey man, san andreas was like one of the first forrays into making white kids think black people are really cool.
>>497496880That's going to be my thread. Black man walkways all wins. Ahistorical women suck. Black men rule.
>>497497096i'll be honest i think the first one might have an edge here.
>>497498868Only because cabalists are artificially inflating it with nobody cares about Milton, fick Molton, fuck Florida fuck you
>>497499596>codpieces didn't existIf more female warriors existed in real life, chainmail underwear would exist.
>>497499596While bikini armor is retarded, if women were warriors as much as men were, they would have had armor that accentuated their feminine features. A slight boob bulge, slender designs for limbs and curvy mid-sections would be quite common.
>>497501743Armor of the time was already feminine if we apply modern standards. The narrow waist for one, just look at the maximilian style of plate. I'd agree it would be more form fitting if we went with antiquity like you see with the stereotypical greek armor with abs and pecs. But there was a lot of function in plate armor at the height of its use; even codpieces were still functional as it was shaped and didn't let you gimp yourself if you got a boner, and it was lower down on the body. I don't think armor would be terribly different for females, if she was particularly busty then I could see the breastplate being expanded a bit, but adding bulges for tits would compromise its ability to cleanly deflect since it's no longer one nice curve all the way through.Probably continue this in new thread if you want.
>>497502695Armor is not always practical; vanity armor would, no doubt, exist.
>female fighters
>>497499596>>497500363Chainmail underwear literally existed though. But yeah, women wearing functional armour is always hot.
