Hello.
>>
We had some neat discussion points last thread about why people post the things they do. Instead of continuing there since it's past the bump-limit, I figured I'd throw my 2 cents here:
If I never knew about /aids/ I probably still would have been writing the same stories I do now, so posting screens doesn't really affect my desire to write. Sometimes I go a few threads without any of my posts (written or pics) being replied to, but it doesn't discourage me.
I guess I see sharing screenshots and replying to people's questions as a low-effort, low-reward activity. I don't expect gratitude or acknowledgement, but I don't go out of my way to really do it. I'm getting vague memories from some cultural psychology course I took years back about what motivates people, and I think humans are uniquely driven by a desire to share and instruct, vs even our closest primate relatives.
Anyways yeah, flashbacks to that crap.
Love the threads.
Love the dog.
Love the multipart storyposts.

Erato decided to start the chapter with a freaking made-up quote. It's kind of cute, but feels out of place since none of the other chapters did that.
How does /aids/ feel about starting their stories with quotations? I think Lovecraft did it sometimes, and I love that little bastard to bits.

>>
>>496933184
I hadn't thought of its influence on generation, but that's a great point. Maybe I'll start experimenting with that. Do you use real quotations from relevant stories? Or do you treat it like made-up author and title names where it just sorta WORKS even though it's meaningless?
>>496934000
Do you use it yourself? And if so, how's it worked out? I've never thought of doing it, but I feel like it's something you either do with every chapter, or only at the beginning of the story.
>>
How sloppy is your Coom slop?
Is there a coherent structure and character arcs, or is it mostly just scenes of fucking?
>>
>>496934993
The last time I tried, it went like this:
>like 5 lorebooks, explaining the protagonist, the setting, the scifi tech that was relevant to the premise, the rival, and the historical event that keeps getting brought up throughout the other lorebooks
>~300 tokens of ATTG and memory
>~1000 token starting prompt before I hit Send
>3 chapters of build-up
>2 paragraphs of sex
>now what?
It was disappointing.
>>
>>496934993
Wouldn't go as far as to say there are character arcs, but there is usually structure with buildup and transition between the dirty parts. By volume most of the story is the dirty parts, but you need some glue to keep them coherent, you know?
>>
Guys, I write like shit and Erato gives shit output. What do?

Edit. Yeah, I have to git gud :(
Edit 2. Thanks for the gold, kind strangers!
Edit 3. Wow! This much upvotes? NAI really should make Erato gooder!
Edit 4. My wife's black boyfriend took her out again. But hey! I have more time to improve my writing!
Edit 5. How do I ban shiver down my spine?
>>
>>496934280
I don't do it very often (my favorite way to start is on dialogue, usually a little snippet of banter between characters that I write out and then introduce setting), but the times I have it's been a mix of both real quotes from whatever that I felt was thematically relevant, and making up a quote and then just letting the AI name whoever said it because I hate naming shit. I've also used song lyrics a few times like a 2000s fanfic writer
>>496934993
I always promise myself this time will have an actual story, but I usually devolve into sloppy vignettes of fucking because I decide to turn every story thing overcomplicated and then I get annoyed about having to manage the thing I did to my own damn self. I kind of pretend there's a story going on because I carry a few elements around between scenes when something that interests me pops up, but I wouldn't call it a real story
>>
>>496935963
idgi
>>
>>496934993
I need some semblance of a plot, even if it's just a thin thread to string together the coom scenes. I try to slowly move things along so that I don't just repeat the same scenes.
I had one story that I ended up writing myself into a corner, and I had to quietly shelve and abandon it. I didn't want to rewrite anything, but the plot progressed to the point where I said to myself, "well, everyone's fucked (metaphorically and physically), so I guess that's a wrap."
>>
>>496932968
Holy gem!
>>
How long until we have LLM RPGs
>>
>>496935402
>2 paragraphs of sex
Well there's your problem. Even in a oneshot where the whole point is coom, you have to make sure your sex scenes are in sufficient detail. You've fleshed out everything else. Let this scene, too, have time to breathe. Unless it built up to rutting a barmaid against the side of a building and then moving on, your tone going into it should influence the pace of the scene.
Though, that being said, it seems like you're disappointed that what you started for coom grew an entire story around it instead. You've built a story, a world, characters to care about. This, too, can be character interaction and can carry similar weight. If your conversations are more than two paragraphs, so too should your sex scenes. Mind you, if you intend to continue writing the story afterward, be careful that that scene doesn't seep too much into your story (perhaps some of the issue is that the story seeped into your sex scene and thus it wanted to keep talking about the story).
>>
>>496936820
at this point I think never evar
>>
>>496936442
>so that I don't just repeat the same scenes.
Yeah, I get this. After you've had a character get fucked in the ass multiple times, it starts to get pretty hard to make it feel new and exciting again. Also doesn't help when the model starts looping the same old phrases again and again
>>
>>496936915
real niggas can coom to 2 sentences of sex thoughever
>>
>>496936915
The majority was AI generated, and wrapped itself fast without my input. That's why it disappointed me. Yeah rerolling would have worked, but I was disappointed already by then.
>>
>>496936932
Fuck I can't wait that long
>>
Why haven't you switched to claude yet?
>>
>>496937194
Then the point to intervene was before it got there. If the whole story went quickly, you may want to have fleshed your prompt out a bit. If it's going from point to point without much in between or much detail, it does tend to do that.

>>496936187
I also have that latter problem. Tonight when I get home I'm going to see how well (or if she even can) follow a chapter list. I was going to start small with like 10 or so to see if Erato could handle chapters in general and if she would wrap up the story by chapter 10.
If it works, I can just let the AI manage it.

>>
>>496938128
How the fuck? Monogatari doesn't even work in English, since it relies on a bunch of esoteric double-meanings that only work if you wink at moon-runes while tipsy and sleep-deprived
>>
>>496934993
I'm probably in the minority here since it's been a long time since I've done proper coom slop. But for coom stuff I absolutely need some kind of plot, even if it's hentai logic.
Right now, the story I'm writing was supposed to be a slow burn romance, but I got so caught up into going slow that the only remotely romantic thing that happened is that the characters held hands for a couple seconds—once.
So yeah, I'm doing the whole thing with character arcs and autistic worldbuilding because I kind of have an idea of where I want to take things.
Honestly, I dropped this story several times in the past because the AI had too much trouble keeping things straight. Maybe it's just the rose tinted glasses from a new model, but I feel like with Erato for once I'm not actively fighting against the AI to keep things coherent.

It means the earlier stuff fell out of context. If you click on the Current Context button, you can see what's still in the story's window. Stuff further back won't be remembered or referenced, but the story keeps going.
>>
>>496944601
AI only looks at whatever's in its context, so if there's anything outside of it that's important to you, make sure to keep it somewhere in your current context (note it down in your memory/ lorebooks)

>>
>>496945497
>Or it's because I'm steering pretty heavily.
I'd bet it's this. Your story pulls ~2-4 chapters' worth of context from those tokens, so if it remains coherent and lines up with earlier chapters, it just means you're doing a good job steering it.
>>
>>496945497
only the last like 500 tokens of context actually matter
>>
>>496934993
>How sloppy
It's purple.
Niggers here complaining their generations are too short or their scenes are too fast, meanwhile I'm drowning in too much prose.
Not shown is the second and very long and kinda underwhelming sex scene (7 times the length of this screenshot) where I was letting the AI go off the rails just to see what she'd come up with. The AI faffed around for so long I was getting blue balls and told it "they are now fucking" so it actually went somewhere. Girl had too much virgin energy and was too much of a pussy to get dicked, boy had too much virgin energy and had the density of a neutron star; meaning it was going to keep in the sexual tension "will they wont they" foreplay stage until the heat death of the universe. And I think at some point earlier I let "to X did the Y" poison the context and the AI latched onto it and spammed it anytime someone did anything.

Truth be told it's better to have too much than too little. There's stuff to work with, and I can trim the fat and restructure paragraphs as needed. That one anon a dozen threads ago was right, verbose is a horrible tag.

Maybe it's because my actual writing isn't good, but I am really enjoying both NAI's and AID's 70B, even though both have the slop issue, I love the added detail the model has over both Karya and AID's Mixtral.
One example is a prompt I have where the character is supposed to be very awkward and has trouble communicating through words, with Kayra and AID Mixtral, she'd just blush and cuddle, but with Erato and AID Llama, she does weird things like tracing along the reader's thigh or nuzzling and nibbling without me guiding it or giving examples.
Though it may be a severe skill issue on my part too.

How are author tags in Erato? Right now interestingly enough, it has affected content more than the writing style for me. It amusingly enough drew characters from that author's works rather than pick up the writing style.
>>

>drew characters from that author's works rather than pick up the writing style.
I think that happens with all models. Like I tried instructing Claude to write like JK Rowling, and the stories veered into magic wands and hippogriffs.
For Kayra and Erato, I found that if your context is almost empty, it'll latch heavily on the author's actual lore and worlds. But if you write something unrelated to the author's work, it understands that you don't want straight-up fanfiction.
>>
>>496960656
I've had Erato label some of my older stories. "Anonymous" has unironically come up more than once, funnily enough. I use anonymous and two fake usernames Erato pulled from the ether.

A paradigm shift. Transformers is old and busted, and all these companies are too obsessed with making glorified autocorrect that they'll never create true AGI.
Alternatively, cheap and powerful GPUs to let common hobbyists like me play with BIG FAT models.
Alternatively, for someone smarter and better than me to shit out a good preset for Erato, elevating it to dizzying new heights of kino.

only posting your slop to the club simply incentivizes people to make their own good prompts.
>>
>>496965568
Pollute the wiki instead.
>>
>>496966493
I agree. I still think the last major paradigm shift was learning that dataset scaling matters a hell of a lot more than we first thought, leading to (at the time) insanity like 13B suddenly being Davinci level.
I don't think we've found another instance of that level of improvement. Yes, we have multimodalism and reinforcement learning now, but those don't really seem to increase the actual intelligence, and jerryrigging something up with fragile pieces seems like a surefire way to cause the entire thing to collapse in on itself.
Maybe Lecun's idea of world models has some merit.
>>

>>
>>496969029
Okay bro. You'd have a point for things like AI art on traditional art platforms, but the club is literally for AI prompts. In my opinion it doesn't matter if its AI generated or handtyped because, realistically, what is the difference between ten AI prompts and ten low effort meme theme prompts posted to the club? We storypost AI slop and critique the aforementioned AI slop.
If they are what you yourself would slot into a new context and start playing from then they're just as valid. I'd agree with you that you'd be polluting it with trash IF all you did was print out some untested, unproofread garbage and uploaded it without reading the whole thing. Go back and reread those genned prompts and run through with a fine tooth comb and touch them up. Playtest them once or thrice to see if they give you the results and direction you had in mind, and if it passes for you then it probably passes for someone else. AI is a tool as well, let it streamline your workflow and help you brainstorm.

You can't possibly do worse than Vorefag.

But to answer your request you can create a rentry which is piss easy just google it, or upload a .txt to catbox which is also piss easy, you cant edit things uploaded to catbox though.

>>496973537
42 does it for me. From what that one anon said back when Erato was released, A/N is like the new instruct for setting up a structure for a scene to follow. There's probably some formatfagging involved, but I've had luck just writing prose in my A/N and it seems to do alright.

So i finally shilled out some coins to open router and am disappointed.

Command R loves to repeat itself and loops. Llama 70b models have the same issues as the 8b's, Mistral large is decent but feels like a 12b, Magnum 70 doesn't feel that far above mini magnum, anything claude is censored as shit. Some of the recommendations on discord are for the 12b fine tunes like nemo which you can just run locally.

it has its problems:

>introduced some funky logic
>major bias towards the most superficial interpretation of your instructions, very flimsy implementations unless instructed otherwise
>breaks format occasionally especially with back and forth

I have a particularly distinct memory from high school of, after lunch, but while the cafeteria was close to empty, a pair of girls calling out in my direction. When I turned to look, one of them asks me if I like turtles. Now, as it happened, I did in fact quite like turtles at the time. Then she flipped up her skirt, revealing blue panties with images of turtles swimming on them. I, of course, stood there dumbfounded and both of them laughed (though I don't think it was particularly harsh or anything, just funny to see a guy look poleaxed). I never really saw them after that, though, sadly. Not that I would have had the first clue of how to respond or what to do at the time.
I think I wrote myself a prompt on this back a few years ago, just a couple of paragraphs to see how it'd go. I should see if I can go find that sometime and see how newer models handle it.

I guess filth can be construed with a NEET in a "damn bitch you live like this?" fashion. Start the story off with her vomiting in the bathtub because she was a retard and chugged down a whole bottle of amaretto chased with a baja blast.

I mean, whatever. Either nobody votes for it like with vore, or people make of the theme what they will. It used to be that you could add this to the CSS to hide the box, but it doesn't seem to be working anymore. Hypebot rescaling still works, but the dialogue box doesn't scale with it since it's a different editor. Could just be one of those things broke with V2 and nobody knew or bothered to fix it.

.comment-avatar-box {
border: none;
}
.comment-avatar {
background-color: rgb(19 21 44 / 0%)

Could you post the image you wanted to use? Depending on what it is, it's possible to either center it out or edit the background to blend better to a square shape.

Probably paste the avatar box hider at the top before the bot. I don't think it'll work though. If it doesn't I trimmed down the two frames of your gif into 200x200 which is ideal size for hypebots and encoded it. So it should just be copy paste into CSS like the hypebots on the wiki: https://files.catbox.moe/68aeud.txt

For transparency I yanked this CSS from the save the princess theme. I should tell you I am not a CSS monkey and it's all a black box to me. If that doesn't work there's other themes that do transparency so you can lift things from there.

I don't use 4 much but it seems like 5 stays in an author style more closely; as long as you use "good" authors like Nabokov, John Steinbeck, Tolkien, Hemingway, etc.

When did Claudefag start hating Llama anyway, was it recent? I came back recently for Erato, when I left a long time ago he was saying ZUCKERBURG IS THE SAVIOR OF TEXTGEN amd LLAMA IS THE FUTURE, now he hates Llama but also like's Nick Walton's Llama? Also does he still shill Sudowrite and what was it, Novel Crafter?

NAI bad. Not NAI good. That's all there is to it, that's how NAI's Llama is slop and you can't unslop Llama but also at the same time AID's Llama is the greatest thing ever, you never have to reroll, it always gets everything exactly perfect, no slop whatsoever.
Sudo has pretty much fallen off the map, NC only comes up whenever he randomly wants to proclaim "his" offline version as the greatest thing ever made.

Haven't checked threads in a while, is everyone already adding instruct blocks in their memory?
I've tried all kinds of formatting with Erato and was ready to give up until I tried giving some { instructions } in memory (just before the story context, without any separators like *** or ----) and also in Author's Notes, and it started writing much better instantly. Almost feels like it didn't know what to do with all the info I was feeding it until it was told.

Yeah, definitely agree on the latter point. Personally I think there's something weird about the face shading also she has two sets of eyebrows, the absolute fucking state of me lmao. >allocate to practicing real [sic] art
how about you allocate it to learning photoshop
>>
>>497145631
the shading and coloring is more complex, but I feel like the lighting is too much. In the original, lighting is pretty muted or basic, but does the job - eyes naturally go to center and peripheral is darkened. In new one, I feel like the lighting should be inversed or something. Besides her underthighs, her face is the darkest part of her and it just draws your eyes away from the center of the image. Eyes are pulled to the highlight on her clothes, highlights of hair, and the neon lights behind her
>>
>>497146587
fixing up an AI illustration in photoshop is real art already anyway, since you need skill to tell if you've fixed it good

>>
>>497146587
I know enough Photoshop to be dangerous, and I already use it for some minor details that are too fiddly to get with this model (FUCKING TEETH). Could always be better though, of course.

>>497146778
Excellent points. Leaving the face too dark feels inappropriate for this composition. The lighting issues were caused by my inclusion of the "backlighting" tag, which from my experience can yield some great results, but in this case it messed up the colors of an image which was already fine.

That's another thing; I think part of the problem was that I was using image to image instead of starting from a clean slate. Modifying images seems to produce sloppier results with regard to color and lighting. Perhaps this is the price you pay for convenience in setting up your composition.

Sounds awful. Are they friends of yours, or just a group you found?
I'm DMing my first game in like 10 years this month. None of the players have played before, so I'm pretty nervous. So far the group is a kitsune witch, an elf ranger, and an alchemist (she keeps changing her mind on the race). Forth member isn't even close to deciding.
I really hope I can encourage them to be curious and get immersed. My biggest sttength when I used to DM was my improv, to the point that players could latch onto some dumb throwaway line, decide it was a plot hook, and I'd actually be able to whip up a dungeon on the fly for them to pursue that thread.
Not sure if I can recapture that magic, with players that embraced the open-world collaborative nature of my settings without trying to suggest shit for the sake of messing with me.
I'm thinking of repurposing a story I did for the setting and worldbuilding. Never storyposted it since it was early CFG era, adverb-laden and overall a rough read.

Maybe try weakening backlighting if you think that is the culprit? Maybe use original image as vibe (or local equivalent) and start from scratch. Or try using it both as the i2i base and vibe and see how that looks. If you want similar composition, then you can probably get away with turning up the strength and comparing if you like results
If you don't want to emphasize the character (or want to emphasize them being unimportant/lesser) then face having that much shadow can work, but can probably still be handled better. Though feels like a moot point since it seems that isn't your intent
Now that I have new model to play with, thanks for reminding me about Kancolle

This seems to have more to do with the inherent instruct tuning opting to give wrong answers to a question than avoid answering questions we can be reasonably confident it's going to be shit at. Not surprising given that human preference training is a big factor (LMSYS datasets, for instance) and your typical human prefers bullshit over honesty
>>
>>497152287
Do you know much about LLM lore?
I'm pretty ignorant about the tech, basically only used GPT, Claude, Mythomax, Fibul, and the NAI tunes.
Are there any notable cases where a model was trained for honesty over everything else? I vaguely remember articles about bots like Tay AI getting redpilled until they get taken down, but I only got into the hobby a couple years back.
Would be interesting to see a model using the latest tech, trained to be objective and not cradle uncomfortable things in diplomatic jargon.

>My biggest sttength when I used to DM was my improv,
This is the single most important skill as a DM. If you still have this, you should be fine. Expect players to go off the rails regardless.
>worldbuilding
I keep my world under lock and key, it's hard enough making names for locations. The one time I asked /tg/ for advice I got shitpost replies. I manged to come up with an interesting name for a town that incorporates birds and death, two themes that pop up a lot in my setting. Shakespeare used this particular bird the town is named after to foreshadow a death in McBeth. I guarantee non of my players will connect the dots unless I explain it but it shouldn't impact the scene.

I agree on the skin tone, but definitely an upgrade and brighter. The untanned chest helps break up the area, and the bigger eyes not only looks more like the original character but the vibrancy and contrast of the eyes helps capture attention towards the face. Don't know how to describe the background, but I like it
>>
>>497153308
Someone trained a model on Henk (as in kobold henk)'s discord messages and it scored ridiculously high on the truthful metrics. So did that gpt4chan model.
>>
>>497156221
>upgrade and brighter
On the face having light I mean, rest of body I agree is much darker in tone
>>
>>497156221
You wanna know what other dumb shit I was doing? I removed the character tag to inpaint something small and then forgot to put it back for the enhancement passes.

The original intent was to have a character on a neon sign, and the model can kinda manage that with a *lot* of iteration and wrangling, but then things get very confused when you start enhancing, so I nixed that. Indoor scenes are a gold-plated bitch, and this one is still pretty abstract despite my efforts, but the majority of it being hidden behind the couch helps sell the illusion. I probably could have stood to tone down the background lights a bit more if the skin tone was going to be this dark, but whatever.

There was a stupid gag manga about a dark elf named Karla who latched onto a really shitty human warrior, and a lot of the humor is the contrast between her own view of how cute and appealing she is, vs his view of how awful and shitty she is.
I wouldn't recommend it because of how 1-dimensional and repetitive the gag is, but I enjoyed it.

Because imagegen as a whole is a lot more finicky from the PR and legal side of things than textgen, so there's much less willingness for companies large and small to ship out very capable models without piling on a mountain of guardrails on top (See: DallE-3), because they know what they will be used for if they don't.

For the US
There is no official federal law stating it is illegal, but there's also nothing really saying it isn't. It's a technical argument and usually boils down to obscenity laws. Many states do however consider it illegal. Regardless of the federal technicalities, you'd be hard pressed to convince a judge that your 1000 loli rape stories are not obscene or indicative of you being a potential threat to minors.
>>
>>497197290

In the distance, they could hear the sound of a stream bubbling through the undergrowth. A few chickens clucked around the front yard. There were no signs of violence anywhere, and everything looked serene. Almost picturesque.
>"All this?" Florent looked at the idyllic countryside before them. It was the height of summer, and the air smelled sweet. It was a fine day for a walk, and he found it difficult to imagine anything more perfect. Kaleigh's tone suggested a sense of unease however, and his heart sank.

If they did a more thorough search and did actually manage to ban him, disregard.
