[DE] Theory for what the hell is going onRight so I think we all agree something is off about the bae side, Max and Chloe’s relationship seemed absolutely fine but then they randomly broke up. Except I don’t think they did.Now this theory still works if you remove Chloe from the equation, it actually makes it a bit simpler but anyway…Safi is a shapeshifter, she shifted into Lucas and told his son those things and she shifted into us and got that photo of “Max” holding the gun and she probably wrote that letter from Chloe which could be why it doesn’t feel right, they haven’t even messaged since before the breakup so what if Safi was interfering somehow?It’s possible Chloe and Max broke up before Max got to Caledon but maybe that’s the reason she’s at Caledon in the first place. Safi breaks them up and then Max gets offered a job probably a little through Safi’s doing as we already know her mother knew us before we started teaching and then Max moves to Caledon no problem because she doesn’t have a Chloe to think/worry about. This is more simple for the bay ending arc, Max doesn’t have an anyone and Chloe is dead so it’s easy for her to accept Caledon and easier for Safi to get to her.Why do all this? To isolate Max, get her away from everyone she loves in a town where people don’t really know her and therefore don’t trust her. And we’ll have to wait to find out why she needs Max alone but I think Safi faked her death in order to try and force Max to use her powers, she knows about it, I don’t know how but she knows and she’s probably known for a long ass time.We’ve always had good life is strange characters, Max got hers when Chloe got shot, Daniel got his when his Dad got shot, Alex is different unfortunately and she already had her powers but had to use them when her brother died.

A new storm is on it's way, and Max plans on confronting it. If the player didn't romance anyone, or if they broke up with whoever they are with, PriceField has an opening to return in the sequel.The game really does respect both endings. It's just they threw Safi in as a wrench to the happily ever after, and it's up to us as player's to reforge it ourselves.Safi wants to combine her powers with Max to become a godIn Bae, Safi found out about Max somehow and wanted to control her for her abilities. However, Chloe was the one obstacal in her way, so she took Max's form and told Chloe it was over between them because Safi had powers. She then switched into Chloe's form and started manipulating Max to try and sever the bond. From what I can gather, though, Max's bond with Chloe was too strong, so Safi made the letter and tricked Max into thinking Chloe didn't want to be with her anymore.Apparently the game ends with Safi getting away and the storm coming back, with max going head on to stop it.
