Take the PVP pill already, the devs need to stop catering to this shit. PVE is a bust and if it wasnt this patch another one down the line would cause a shit show. The oddest thing is whoever is on the PVP balance team they seemingly know where to find the issues and stop them. They touched on Vanguards grapple stun in a week, they just nerfed the power fist/melee cancel shit with bulwark.


The PVE missions also seem to require to much work for them, all PVP chads need is what? At least a couple more maps and we are fine.

It appears to calculate ammo, I shot one bolter round into the ground > reloaded > used crate and I could've repeated that multiple times. Only once I came back after heavy fighting did I notice multiple boxes inside the crate disappear as I used it.

Ok. 5 games with lethal so far, my team always had trouble with hive tyrant, but i think i can give feedbacks to dispell some misinfo ive seen in the thread.

1) ammo cache is not shared. You do not steal others ammo.
2)there is a set amount of ammo in the cache, not usage limited. For example, picking up ammo when you have 0 rounds left vs when you are only missing a mag does not use the same amount of ammo. My theory that its based on your missing total ammo for BOTH weapons. I suspect so because when i was playing heavy picking up when i had half my heavy bolter (700 round variant) spent, it only took like 4 or so crates, but with assault i used a bit more. Further testing needed, but it is absolutely NOT going to ruin your run. Ammo is plenty in the cache.
3)there can be upwards of 3 extremis at once.

I have to admit, im quite intrigued by this new difficulty. The cohesion mechanic was a good way to tell whos a shitty carried by his gear vs genuinely good players. Lethal is a great way to get actual coop gameplay. If your team stay glued together, it really isnt that much harder than ruthless.
In most cases, the reduced armour isnt that big a deal. Venom cannon sniper becomes extremely deadly now, however. I suspect the ranged damage reduction perk will become pretty handy in the next few weeks.

Im not a fan of the red aura atm. They just gain massive poise. Not sure if its a defence or damage buff as well but this makes melee gameplay just that much more annoying, since they always go into rage mode when theyre the last person alive.

Heavy becomes a immensely powerful for me, because bond of brotherhood suddenly became s++ tier for me. Reviving at full health means you have more room for mistake, since mortal wounds can be healed, guaranteed.

Not a fan of the 5 minutes respawn time. Dog shit artificial difficulty. Oh, and when youre last man standing you literally cannot get armour by execution. Now thats a serious oversight.

For nids, a 8/10 experience.

People from this very thread have absolutely zero fucking coordination. I've seen idiots run ahead without looking back, or stay behind and not fucking keep up. From codes posted in this very fucking thread. And on top of that, nobody communicates through the mic because we're all autistic, and some don't even bother replying to fucking typed out shit.
And this is in CODES from this thread. Now imagine the fucking shitpile that playing with randos is gonna be.
On top of it all even if you have a well coordinated group of friends, Assault and Vanguard basically can't perform the point of their class (targeted deep strikes), Sniper and plasma/bolter heavy can't remain behind as required to provide cover fire. Bulwark is fucked if it wants to try and rush a dangerous ranged unit and has to exist as support/defense. Your viable classes for lethal that actually perform as they should (aka don't have to bend over backwards in their playstyle) are Tactical, Bulwark (if defensive) and Heavy with a multimelta or plasma if you're okay with never charging a shot ever again. Also never mind the fact there's several points in all missions where it's actually better to split up and cover different objectives or defensive points. Inferno's last part basically encourages you to different people cover different points where the hordes spawn. Same for the detonation bit in Decapitation. Or Hive Tyrant when the mobs spawn.
And inb4 people post their shit webms of the one time out of a hundred things went well. Nobody gives a fuck.

I think they just saw what Darktide did and decided to slap it in. The game doesn't have disablers that encourage sticking together and there's not much CC built into the default moveset like pushing or any of the classes' abilities with big knockback. It's only all about maximizing DPS so that the horde doesn't overwhelm you.

I was really surprised they made such a major change such as making it so that Minoris no longer take off one armor pip with every hit. It's such a big part of how the melee works and how they had to have playtested the game for years with. But then in the first patch they just removed it. I don't think they really have a vision for game. They're just throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks.

Welcome to my experience with HD2. Granted, a lot of the balance was a bit off but the game is horrifically dull now that so much stuff has been buffed. I was already sleeping through Helldive even before all the buffs and I'm still sleeping through super helldive. Redditors and even dogshit /vg/ players spent all their time complaining about how hard the game was until enemies were repeatedly nerfed and weapons repeatedly buffed until there wasn't a single ounce of challenge left. In a game that had 9 difficulty settings so you can tailor your experience to your experience and skill level. It'll happen to this game too.

Many of you have complained about lack of balance between your weapon choices, but fear not, Sister Marines! We have heard you, and this is what we have prepared for you:
- Heavy Plasma Incinerator and Plasma Incinerator damage has been significantly reduced to be more in line with other primary weapons.
- Heavy Plasma Incinerator, Plasma Incinerator and Plasma Pistol have 50% chance to explode and instantly kill the user when overheated.
- Multi-Melta and Melta Rifle ammo capacity has been reduced by 75%.
- Multi-Melta and Melta Rifle no longer staggers Majoris and Extremis enemies.
- Multi-Melta and Melta Rifle range reduced further to ephasize it's role as a close quarters weapon.
- Las Fusil no longer gains ammo from big ammo crates.
- Las Fusil headshot damage reduced by 50%.
- Stalker Bolter has stood out amongst the other Bolter weapons and thus we're nerfing it's damage by 50%.
Assorted changes:
- Fixed ammo regen bug on Bolt Rifle with Grenade Launcher

- Bonus damage from Auspex scan is now only valid for the first attack that hits the highlighted enemy.

No, you're thinking about this entirely wrong.

Cohesion is an AOE around you, as long as that circular AOE intersects with another player's AOE, you get armor regen. If even one player fucks off, the effective interlinking is diminished by 33%. So now if two of you are in a horde and get separated, if the third fucked off, it becomes far more likely that cohesion breaks.

Bolt weapons need love but so far balance patches have mostly been buffs. The gl one was technically a nerf but it did nothing practically.

For whom, the player or the enemies? Ranged enemies got their projectile damage slashed. In some cases they only do 1/3 the damage as before (devourer i believe). Gors have their HP reduced by a significant margin. Chaos density in general has been reduced by a whole bunch. Minoris parrying now gives back shield. In general this made the game way, way easier.

The new difficulty introduced some nerfs to the player. 20% reduced shield made it so VC warriors are very, very deadly. If they decide to open fire up close, you best know that not only are they faster, they also shoot twice. This can actually 100% you now. But if you already knew about this, nothing changes. Unless theyre in red aura, which i think isnt a fun mechanic.

Ammo cache limitation in my experience has not changed the way i play, at all. Not sure how sniper feels yet, but for tactical, assault and heavy i dont feel its impact at all.

Coherency isnt that bad, imo. I dont think vanguard or assault are really being shafted that hard. And no, if one player strays you do not lose all coherency. I do think however since we only have 3 players the radius should be a bit bigger, perhaps like an extra 5 meter radius.

Fencing 'nerf' if you can call it that simply makes it less braindead. Its strength was always instant startup, anyway. No changes to blocking is still extremely asnine.

I think theres a lot of overreaction even in here. Why is sticking a little closer to your bros something youre so averse to? In some situation yeah you dont want to cuddle but you should always be close by anyway, in case something bad happens.

Squad cohesion is bad because it's a tacked on addition rather than something the core game was designed for. There is no minimap, there is no easy way to tell where your teammates are at a glance, that's why they had to come up with this stupid little proximity bar, a band-aid solution. More importantly, you have two classes designed for mobility that cannot function properly in the tiny little Cohesion range, and Sniper is just as likely to be left behind while aiming down sights.

Wildly swinging the camera around to get eyes on your teammates is now a core part of the gameplay and it's annoying as fuck.

Those have never been useful, unfortunately. I think in my testing all it did was negate some damage drop off. Regardless, a good sniper is always in a safe spot, so being out of coherency for a bit imo isnt that bad, unless youre short 1 man. A real oversight is when youre last man standing you cant fight to get shield back. Also 5 minutes respawn is awful.

Let's say auspex has 100% then if you include the expert timing ADDITIONAL 100% from the base, that's a total 200% already, if you ADD the precise calibration that ADDS 75% from the base that's a total of 275%.
They nerf the base so
It's now a 70% and if you ADD the expert timing ADDITIONAL 100% from the base. That's only 70% and a total of 140% and if you ADD precise calibration that ADDS 75% from the base, that's only 52.5% a total of 192.5%.
Like more than a 100% damage drop off.

That's the problem. Tactical mains serves as frontline and support, a good all rounder with auspex.
Now if a frontline dies, tactical can jump in with battles focus(free auspex after parry) because it reduced the debuff by 60%.
Before I can kill majoris in few hits after parry/debuff. Now I have to hit them many times despite having the debuff.
It's role as a support got nerf big time.

The devs couldnt balance the game properly so a lot of high-end gameplay was people picking the same weapon/loadout/armor every game, this led to a mass outcry that is still heard to this day
Eventually the devs caved-in and nerfed all the difficulty away from the game, so now you can pick anything you want, but you can also play without your brain

Not gonna lie, I'm scared the same thing could happen to SM2

Bolters arent that big of a big deal, some of them need buffs but most classes have the option to just not pick them and still do perfectly fine
Assault is the only class that is truly fucked, over than that there's a good spread of loadout and weapon even at high level

Melee is not fine. Hacking away at any enemy while you're getting peppered from range makes it a reall shit option even worse with the thunder hammer. Power sword literally takes 4+ light swings to kill minoris enemies and way more for majoris.

Buffed everything to the point where the elite boss monsters dies faster than they can spawn in. They also buffed everything to the point where weapon tiers exist to deal with various armor ratings, but because all weapons have been more or less been made derivatives with their stat lines, there is literally no reason to use lower Armor Piercing weapons over their AP varients, bringing the entire efforts to balance the game back to square one.
