Hey!
I'd love to get input from someone who would happen to know a better way of doing this in Unity.

I'm under the impression that using an interface is a good way of going about saving a bunch of differing GameObjects inside of a scene. The idea is that I can search for every interface present within the scene when I do decide to save and run it's own save() function. The interface can have it's own load so it can deal with unique fields and use cases and exceptions and whatnot and can all be shoved into a list and serialized into a JSON file.

I've been chewing on it and this is the best idea I can come up with. I'd love to know if it's completely terrible or fine. If it's completely wrong, I'd love a pointer to any kind of design pattern or any idea that would be better so I can figure it out for myself and use it and continue with making progress.

Please, and thank you thread! <3 I'm a bit anxious about something like this so I really felt like asking :(

So I've developed the idea of separate units and activators my tactics game and I'm wondering what the best way to implement it is. An activator is something that turns up in the turn queue and activates one more units/events/etc.

While big successes are World of Horror, Momodora, Signalis, Refind Self. The review numbers are completely all over the place, not consistent at all. This leads me to believe that the publisher does jackshit for promotion, it's still 99% up to your game's appeal and your own efforts.

Also models exported from blender become "local" in Godot, for whatever reason. i would do something like that, but making a character isn't second nature to me, let alone adding character customization options. i have no idea how to make backgrounds like cities or houses yet. learning 3d is slow and takes alot of time

And voicing matters the least in a game, so shortcutting on that is fine. i'm changing my scope to this and it's still too big for me, idk how they made these models and textures, the sheer artistic and technical expertise here is so overlooked and we may never know these ancient secrets

*sigh* i'm struggling with how to make a face, i use an older version of blender and it's like, i want to make a precise loop cut, but i also don't want to have it go around the entire model when i only need it for one part

my only options for this is making a cut that goes around the model anyway, but is precise, or making one that only affects the specifc part of it, but is imprecise, it's a struggle to even imagine adding eyes, nose, lips, and a chin to a face under these conditions, but if you look at the models for smackdown 2 on the ps1 they managed it, which means i have to do it too, unless maybe i want it to look like goldeneye 64
