Plus the only real character he's ever expressed was in Heroes. I love Metal Sonic, but his fanbase doesn't seem to have the same... "Culture" behind him like Knuckles's and Shadow's have. The driving force just isn't the same, and that's in part because of said lack of presence.Remaking Sonic Heroes would be a good start, but something needs to be done to make Metal Sonic more present. Maybe a campaign where he's a one-man Team using abilities he copied. Playing a big role in the next new game would be nice, but I'm not sure how they'd do it. The Metals in general felt tacked on and undercooked in Superstars, so I'm unsure if Sonic Team knows, either.
I actually expect Sonic 5 to be announced if Sonic 3 continues to meet box office predictions.
