The fact that you can double cross a candidate during orzammar is funny because they did this to make it slightly more confusing when you try to recruit oghren. If you pick the wrong guy to support initially, oghren might level up. Harrowmont has better rewards as a king, and bhelin has lower xp at the start of his quest. This type of confusing gameplay was put into it intentionally for replay value. Which is why im playing the game on easy first, because it’s hard as fuck on nightmare especially when you make a mistake and have to keep restarting your file.

It's a common complaint, because it's a true one that lots of people come to the same conclusion. Owlcat giving enemies 40+ ac so you have to cast a bunch of buffs just to match it, so there is repetitive busywork at the start of every map is bad combat design. Worst of all, Owlcat thinks these enemies with inflated stats are "encounter design", so they lack actual encounter design in the form of cool maps, verticality, environmental hazards, cover, etc that you find in tactical games.I am so glad and so thankful that they apparently realized the same thing, so their third game is a tactical game with zero pre-buffing, and incorporates all of the tactical elements you expect. Such an improvement, I'm really proud of them.And this isn't even a wotr hate post, I actually love the music, characters, plot, choices, mythic paths, etc in that game. It's still a good game overall, it just suffers from someone from Owlcat thinking a demon standing in an empty room with 40+ ac is encounter design.I enjoyed my time with their past games, but I'm having an absolute blast with rogue trader. I'm already on my third playthrough.

Yes I’ve most likely built the most effective possibly party composition for origins. Killing elite bosses in under 1 second. Immortal tank. 2 combat stealers. 3 very high DPS melee attackers. Shoutout to barlin for having a really cool dagger. Thats definitely Morrigans best in slot offhand. And also gets used on oghren and the player character. That dagger gets used more than my mom. Crap I just noticed the amulet “Lifedrinker” is pretty good. Do we still go AW on Morrigan? Or do we build her for staves. My main problem with the staff build is that Morrigans gonna be a completely worthless bitch whore until level 25. But AW unlocks an insane amount of damage for her at level 14, she does at least 10 times more DPS with literally only a single talent point investment. The staff build needs so much random crap and it’ll still be worse than an AW. But lifedrinker will increase fiery weapons and telekenetic weapons effectiveness for the entire party. And going blood mage will also improve our parties attack rating slightly, as I just wouldn’t cast these spells as it’s only going to be like 5% more hit rating and im already 2 shotting things. 4 melee dps is a bit much at times, but its not really a problem when all of them have stealing and can solo their own enemy in one forcefield. I dunno, how do you guys build morrigan on your 1147th playthrough?

>>521485335Actually it’s obvious. Once we unlock blood mage, we sub shale for oghren. And our final party comp is x2 rogue dps war and a bm mage. And we just use sleep magic to cc, that’s only a 1 point investment. Our dps will be high enough that we won’t need to rely on shales taunt+forcefield combo. We will will have x4 stealing by lvl 15. Song of courage is a better buff than stone aura anyways. Although one bad part about this is we can’t utilize oghrens full potential without a tank due to him needing to be at 10% hp. But he will already be doing so much damage anyways lol, it’s just cooler to have him do even more. I’ve been working on an alternative party composition in my spare time. Something which uses the less good specs, but still viable. Thats two handed weapons, shields, bows and elemental magic. I’m not sure I can ever make a shield viable actually, shales just a way better option and is more fun. But warriors can use bows and are even better than rogues. And rogues can use two handed weapons with 100% crit rate due to backstab. Although 2 handed weapons main appeal is to animation cancel and hit twice. So it’ll probably be a party mostly with warriors. The drawback to warriors is they lack party wide damage buffs. But without going cunning, rogues party buffs suck too. Another mechanic I want to include is stamina. Which will likely be used with archery talents, because melee dps is better off auto attacking. There’s many talents that increase stamina regen, but not many talents that use stamina. They’re all pretty bad lol. I’m guessing at least one ability will be worth casting.
