Okay, here me out for a moment, but I think I've figured out a way to keep Shade in the series without penders getting in the way and without changing her peronality and designMake her Blaze's bodyguard, the story can be that It's Blaze's birthday and because she's of age now to legally inherit the throne in case something happens to her parents who we don't see, someone said we saw her father in IDW as there's a purple cat with his back turned to the camera with a crown on his head in a wide shot of her villa but who knows if that's true, as a result of this she now will have Shade as her bodyguard she is from a tribe of assassins that has sworn loyalty to Blaze's family since the Kingdom's foundation, Shade is the name given to the one who guards the heiress of the sol kingdom protecting them from all danger be it physical or political, Shade herself is intinally cold and distant to the point Blaze is distrustful of her, their relationship is a rocky one, then the story starts, a sudden attack on the kingdom by a mysterious force that somehow steals the jewel scepter, kidnaps Marine and half of the sol emeralds, blaze immediately sets off to reclaim them unfortunately for her she will not be journeying alone, Shade will accompany her. I think it's probable especially if the enemies turn out to be Shade's master and teacher who trained Shade as a weapon to assassinate Blaze's family to take the throne for himself/herself It sounds fanfictionay and cliche but I think people would be interested in such a thing, I even had a thing where once Shade and Blaze become friends Shade will call her by her name when they are alone but in front of everyone else she'll always address her as Princess because that's just how she is. Thoughts? Please be gentle it's my first time thinking this hard about characters and stuff.
