Niantic stopped letting Smeargle get any legacy moves from your pokemon for some reason. Now when you catch a smeargle from a mon that has a legacy move, it gives you a random move from it's movepool instead.

I wager they did this because of "muh game balance" but smeargle is worthless anyways so who cares?

Thoughts on the new great league meta? I like that a bunch of new pokemon got good. I like mudslap a lot. The nerfs really pissed me off though. Fucking hanke murdered my beloved peliper. Now he is retired to never spam weatherball again. I also think gatr has shifted from being annoying to being absolutely meta ruining. Also clodsire is bullshit. It has way too much fucking health and can threaten everything with its variety of nuke moves.

Also ruining flyers let diggersby just rape everyone. I never see people talk about how bs he is now. Bulky ground types are too strong now IMO. You have to run super effective moves on at least two of your mons and optimally 3 if you want to not get outbulked by those assholes

I have no idea why Niantic thought giving Clodsire the Galarian Stunfisk treatment was even remotely a good idea. It was at least easy to keep G-fisk in check by running one of the many viable Counter-users or by using a bold Incinerate-user as a general anti-meta pick. Aside from water and ground, Clodsire only has two other weaknesses: ice and psychic.

As pvpoke shows, the domination of Clodsire and bulky charger flying-types has pushed a bunch of old meta ice-types closer to the top of the list, yet not any deeper than the top 20. The only way to make ice more viable would be to give it a better general-use, ice-type fast move than Ice Shard, maybe add Ice Ball or Icicle Spear as a clone of Dragon Tail. Psychic on the other hand has been pretty much useless up until now. The only psychic-types that have ever done well in GBL have mostly just been Pokémon with really good bulk/stats for their respective league (only exception being Shadow Gallade) and access to either Psycho Cut or Counter which allow those Pokémon to spam cheap or powerful charge moves. Confusion has okay stats, but it's so slow you'll almost always lose the race to the next punch, not to mention leaving you open to getting walled by two really common types in GBL (dark and steel). Psywave is finally changing how shit psychic-type is and I really hope they give it to more Pokémon in the future. I get they probably shouldn't throw a strong move around like that so loosely, but there's little reason to not give it to the Spoink and Solosis families and then give them some better charge moves. Might be good to give it to Kantonian Weezing and Musharna as well.

While it does have a lot of Pokémon banned, it functions a lot closer to a remix cup than your typical meme cup. From what I can tell, these are all the relevant Pokémon that will be banned (I forgot to include Alolan Sandslash and Alolan Marowak). In some ways it's better for people that don't want to have to deal with Clodsire and Feraligatr constantly, but it also further demonstrates how polarized the current meta is where most of the top Pokémon are either poison, fairy, ground, ghost or dark, which a few old meta water-types mixed in.

Has anyone else noticed that the type showcases have favorites? Originally I thought it was just a coincidence that my XXL Ursaluna was worth significantly more points than all my other normal-types, but now I'm pretty sure it's based on a predetermined, favored Pokémon since Galarian Weezing is by far the best pick for the fairy-type showcase, regardless of size, and Galarian Farfetch'd preforms significantly better than the other fighting-types. It might also be a discrepancy based on regional variants, but that wouldn't explain why my huge Ursaluna was 100 points higher than any of my other several dozen huge Pokémon.

You get one pass a day. If you have one from yesterday and use it you can get a second one. You get some free ones through from research but save those for important fomo pokemon like necrozma and big fug. Check your local campfire groups for local ambassadors. If they have rewards during the raid meetups it's usually two raid passes and all you have to do is check in on the app, don't have to interact with anyone.

On Wednesday at 6pm local time the majority of gyms spawn the 5 star boss for the week. If you have a local community or go to a place with a shitload of gyms all within very short walking distance you will usually find people doing the raids. The one I’m fighting at the bar has both super power and mega horn. I evolved three beldums all the way up (I fought a bunch so I could have three psychic type attackers and three steel type attackers when I can get the cd move in December) but I can’t even get him down to half yet. The moves seem to be random between encounters. I was using Charizard and Blastoise to tank and Charizard and metang to attack. I can get him down to like 30% before I die. Charizard is level 30 with max level 2, blastoise isn't powered up, metang i got to 1500cp before I realized I wasn't willing to spend the candy on it. I have a lot of candy but I don't want to waste it on a subpar Metagross that I'll need to elite tm later. It will seriously take like 5 or 6 dynamax transitions before you get him and dodging is necessary. I'll just wait til my gf can help me out or if I run into someone doing it while I walk my dog

In December they’ll have a community day weekend where they’ll spawn every community day mon from the year between Saturday and Sunday half one day half the next. Every pokemon that had a community day that year and the previous year, when evolved, will get their chosen community day move. i just solo'd 2 dynamax falinks raids.

1st raid had 3 pokemon in it with 2 star bonus, i beat it with 2 zards and a metagross. the zards were around 2500 and metagross was around 3500. it didnt feel to hard, i dodged once.

2nd raid had 2 pokemon in it with a 2 star bonus, same team and i failed the first time. i upgraded my team some more, stopping before use of xl candies, reentered the raid and it was really close but I beat it.

both falinks were shit. a 75 iv and an 82 iv .

I keep getting stuck during the intro screen in Max raids. Best part is that when i close and reopen the app, my poke was still there taking damage. This shit is so frustrating.
