This game feels a bit too low effort for me. Which would've been fine if the gacha rates weren't as bad as they are.
I don't understand the point of this game other than being a cash grab for a different stakeholder. Some of the ideas are interesting but the game is really slow and, if I'm not mistaken, these aren't even real Pokémon cards? The mandate isn't there. Why would I, a player, want to play this? Because it's got a debatably better ruleset and software than Live? So does Duel Links but they also gave that game a full story mode with tons of anime tie-ins and shit.It's the slowness that gets me. The game still runs and plays so sluggishly, just like the normal game does. I don't want to play a 10-minute game of this right now. I certainly don't want to log in to the app several times a day to pull cards from packs if they aren't even based on the real cards.

The game would make way more sense if you could only play one pokemon per turn instead of filling the entire board. Going first would have at least have some kind of advantage since right now you never ever want to go first unless you are playing articuno and that's relying entirely on more coinflips to be able to move first turn.

The more basic rules and energy system are neat, but only opening 1-2 packs a day and getting a random card from the wonder thing is kinda shit. I dumped pretty much all the hourglasses the game handed out in the first day and it only got me 10 packs.
