There have been tons of deviations from the original series comp materials, but we have no idea what is currently planned and what is currently scrapped from those ideas. If Game-freak had any control over the anime than Marnie and Bede would have appeared early on JN instead off Marnie just getting only one episode at the end to push Goh and Koharu. I've been seeing twitter people passing around the MTL that originally got posted here. The MTL gives an okay sense of what's said there, but the person responsible clearly used ChatGPT because it added on several pages of text after the Japanese ends. It makes it sound like the meeting ended more cordially than it did, when it ends with Ohmori and his assistant basically saying "we need to quit getting involved in this shit, because it's too much trouble." Ishihara didn't make the decision to cancel the Ashnime either, he just kept asking why they kept doing it for 20 years or so. I also don't think Yuyama is actually responsible for Ash losing and going on forever. It really seems like the TPC suits were throwing everyone under the bus because GF was mad about being blindsided by the decision.Also, either Adamant or someone posting a Serebii response he made word-for-word posted in here soon after the MTL was retrieved about the Serena thing. See picrel for a translation I made and had verified by a second person.
