So... quick question:What's everyone here's thoughts on fakemons? Also, question of RukaAnon:Did you see the scrapped Mega Jynx? What did you think of her?(pic related is the Mega Jynx, in case you haven't seen yet. . . spoilered in case you don't actually want to see for some reason or another)
>>56894239Personally I hope Ruka anon feels good about that thing getting scrapped. Looks like satire than an actual serious Mega Evolution. It's a disservice to the Jynx species.
>>56894239Putting this Jynx next to Mr. Rime really puts a new perspective on some of his more eccentric details. Gamefreak has gone on record before saying that ideas are rarely ever scrapped permanently, but are often repurposed for later, so Mega Jynx is still with us in spirit.
>>56894239Fakemons in my opinion can and should only be applied to OC regions as while you can feasibly tamper with regional dexes using realmons because information is already available about them, you can't do that with fakemons because it's not something that a Pokemon fan would have prior knowledge of, likewise, an OC region has the same issue. Which leads me into the point that I was about to make.I'm still not certain about the setting of Alex's DnD adventure. Part of me wants to make it a sort of fantasy Unova, but I also don't like the idea of tampering with what little we know about its ancient history, because Ship of Theseus. I've been considering making an OC setting completely separate from the Poke-earth that we know, but this also presented the issue of "where do regionals come from". The answers that I propose is that they are simply "Variants", normal Sandslash live in the desert, "Variant" Sandslash live in the snow. This also opens up the usage of fakemon that I think would be fitting for Alex such as this Cloyster and Venomicon-E from CAP. That being said, I don't want to include too many fakemons and I want them to all be competitively viable, so I'm limiting myself to CAP and a few fake regionals at most, but since the audience are NOT familiar with these mons, I'd have to post a spreadsheet for mandatory reading in order for you to know the stats and other information about these mons. Fake regionals are also easier to justify than outright fakemons, so I could just limit myself to these few "Variants" so that the audience isn't completely blindsided, and it would lead to a much smaller spreadsheet. You know what time it is.https://strawpoll.com/2ayLQ1w7zn4https://strawpoll.com/LVyK2b4WKZ0I'm also open for taking title suggestions for Alex's fantasy AU.
Took a look at VRoid as an anon said to. Basically worthless for someone with zero modeling knowledge since any presets worth using all cost money. And god knows I ain't spending money on something I don't know if I am cut out for it or not yet. All the default assets are bland, basic stuff. No good for a clueless mook like me. Wake me up when AI can do 3D modeling that isn't made up of a literal billion polygons that will basically zipbomb your computer and make it sound like it's fans are preparing for takeoff.
>>56894352Really? No luck? Not a cracked version to play around? Or /3/ having a few models to experiment? What a shame.
>>56894373I don't know where to look for leaked paid model content and /3/ is a dead, doomposting board that makes /vp/ look fast by comparison.
>>56894440>a dead, doomposting board that makes /vp/ look fast by comparison.A horrifying thought.

>>56894352Like I said, Koikatsu is there, you could get cards from either https://www.pixiv.net/en/tags/キャラ配布(コイカツ) (the guys posting here tend to pay wall their shit though, 7 out of 10 times its paywalled or grabbed from another place and reselled as theirs), https://db.bepis.moe/ or https://arca.live/b/koikatsu if you are willing to deal with koreans, but if you are against it due to the inherent lewd nature of the game I dont blame you... PSO2 is there if you are willing to "Jailbreak" the demo they released a few years back.
>>56894690Yeah not really into Koikatsu, it's just an MMD-tier porn app thing to me. I also don't think PSO2 has anything I'm looking for considering what I HAVE seen of it. I'm a mook with no talent for modeling in a world of unironic gooners and digital content scalpers.
>>56894738Then I dont know man, Get the pencil or the program and just start doing it or make shit, if the easy ways leave you unsatisfied or you don't like them and you said you dont have skills, then the real way to get what you want is to learn and do it the hard way.

>>56894764You're not the first person to try to council a rock and you won't be the last. Don't let it frustrate you.
>>56894823As the "rock" in question, I just have no love for the idea of actually doing modeling. I'd probably try learning animating if I had a 3D model for Emily already to just try and manifest ideas with but I don't have one so--
>>56894641Okhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrI-UBIB8Jk
>>56894841Rigging and animating isn't any easier than making models you know.
>>56894869Making a good model requires a modicum of art talent that I don't have. Animating and rigging does not.
>>56894875Why do you think animation doesn't require much talent?

>>56894819Porn game that has a really good Character creator that the community modded to hell and back. You want pokemons? you got pokemons, neptunia? in there guns? in there, SAO? in there. Its just a way to get a kind of cheap 3d model of a character that you can then fuck, if you get any extra use out of it, that is an extra. and people have been doing or making comics or animations using Koikatsu as a "engine".
>>56894923Checked the price tag, I'm gonna stick to banging head against the wall that is Blender. That's interesting though
>>56894969>price tagPeople pay for Koikatsu?
>>56895015Not home right now, so i cant earnestly check yet, but I found someone bitching about a 60 dollar price tag
>>56894900I don't know. But it's still a different TYPE of skill to build up regardless and the idea of it at least has my attention and willingness to sink some time into if I were to ever manage to maybe get a passable 3D model of Emily commissioned from someone.
>>56895015>>56895082Let me see if I can find a free version. Some guys in the /mlp/ board have been using a cracked version, so maybe you can play with that for a while.Or at least, fap for a bit.

Uuuuugh still need to figure out other things for Emily and Mari to do in the landlocked Lumiose City but nothing is coming to mind. Why is Lumiose such a waste of space? All it has is fucking cafes/restaurants, fashion spots, a musuem or 2 and the Gym and Battle Institute. Not even the anime itself could fucking come up with anything interesting for this city. It was just sightseeing and cafes-- which isn't all that interesting from a writing/reading perspective as the main bulk of an SoL scene imo.

>>56894239>>56894263Ruka anon here! Honestly while it's not exactly what i would want out of a mega Jynx but there's stuff I like. I'm assuming this is less or a "this is what it would have looked like" and more of a "here's just a rough idea of what we could do."-THINGS I LIKE>I like extending her hair into a large mane. I always thought Jynx's hair was one of its most noteable traits as pokemon tend to either have fur or just parts of their anatomy that resemble hair but aren't. So exaggerating that is pretty cool.>I like the little cowlick on top of its head. It kinda harkens back to the same cowlick present on its preevolution, smoochum.>I like the dress. The white trim and powdered dots give it a strong "snow" motif. Like a fur lined winter coat.-THINGS I DON'T LIKE->The eyes. I get what they're going for, making her look almost crazed with psychic power (or maybe she even type shifts to dark, who knows?) But it just clashes with the rest of the aesthetic. Everything else about the design is leaning into how icy and cold she looks but this is the only element that looks like it's referencing psychic powers. Maybe they're supposed to look like sunglasses? Like a rich older woman type of aesthetic?>the arms/hands. I know that they're exactly the same as Jynx's. And that's the problem. They feel like an afterthought. I've always kinda liked the idea of Jynx having free floating hands since its open palms are always so prominent in its design.>>56894313I have considered giving Jynx a mega evolution and just saying that Jynxite is really hard to find. That being said I feel like it's too "my main character is special" for my tastes. Also I'm afraid game freak WILL eventually release an official mega Jynx and then I'll have egg on my face.
>>56897916>I'm assuming this is less or a "this is what it would have looked like" and more of a "here's just a rough idea of what we could do."Nope that's the official finalized design. It got ability, stats, typing and everything short of a 3d model. The reason they scrapped it is the old classic excuse
>>56897916Hey, friend. Still enjoying the vacation? >exactly the same as JynxThat's how I look at it too. There's not really enough new to justify why it's a Mega. Compared to its peers like Gardevoir and Abomasnow, Jynx just gets a wardrobe change. Now that I think about it, the idea of a mon's accessory hogging all the Mega energy would be reused with Mega Slowbro too.
>>56894142>Thread Question: Congrats your OC is now a type specialist, what's their type and how does their team look like. Of they already had a monotype team? Well now they don't. (oh also they can bring one mon from the old team along so long it follows the type)Alright I'm gonna cheat just a little bit.>Water RukaAlways wears a bikini top regardless of the weather. Has her hair tied in a ponytail with blue highlights at the tips. Her tan is even deeper due to spending so much time in the sun.>Water Ruka teamStaryu, Slowpoke, shellder (sometimes attached to slowpoke) Azumarill with her ace...Jynx. Jynx runs a dry skin set setting up rain for passive healing and using it to power up its water pulse. Then once the opponent is drenched it freezes then solid with ice beam.>Fairy RukaConstantly wearing flashy and gaudy looking fashion. She wears her long hair down with curls at the ends and the tips are dyed a vibrant pink. >Fairy Ruka teamClefairy, Aromatisse, Azumarill (again) and....tera Fairy Jynx. She Tera types her Jynx fairy to remove several of its weaknesses while also being able to outspeed and threaten the poison types that counter it with its speed psychic attacks. Stays healthy with its draining kiss and obliterated dragons with Blizzard. I could also be talked into putting bellossom on this team, a pokemon I am shocked didn't have the fairy type added. (Not that I mind. A 4x weakness to poison would be devastating.) But it does learn a lotta moves like moonblast that fit the fairy aesthetic.I guess the real question is if type specialist means "only can use that type of pokemon" or simply "their team revolves around a type/strategy. Like how there's gym leaders/elite 4 who use pokemon technically outside their type but fit their overall theme. (Such as lance using gyarados)
>>56898117>still enjoying the vacation?I've been back for weeks haha. I've just been a bit too busy to devote as much time to the threads. Trying to do commissions and stuff.
>>56898201O-oh. Well, I've been busy too! Hardly noticed you were gone. ;_;
I don't exactly have an OC I just daydream about myself living in the Pokemon world going on adventures though all the regions.

>>56898726oh no she fell over :(
>>56898726I gotta say, I never thought of Jynx as a cute pokemon until I saw your drawings. They've really been done a disservice in all official material
>>56898829Some of the manga and anime has let Jynx emote more than the games let her. To be fair I kinda find Jynx's default blank expression to be cute too in a dopey slowpoke kinda way. It's pretty amazing how much simply adding eyelashes does for Jynx.
Bump.
>>56898175>if type specialist means "only can use that type of pokemon" or simply "their team revolves around a type/strategyHonestly, a type specialist can mean anything you want. From a team that specializes in Speed or Special Attack to an all Friend Evolution team to Rain teams to Stall. Feel free to get creative!>Like how there's gym leaders/elite 4 who use pokemon technically outside their type but fit their overall theme. You'd never know just by looking at Flint's D&P team that he's a Fire-type specialist. Knowing just one Fire-type move is enough to qualify.
>>56899825The guy who wrote that TQ here, yes I did mean monotype teams, but if twisting the definition of type specialist makes shit more interesting, go for it. Not like I can stop you or anything

>>56899969>I wish I could.I wish you could too.
>>56897916Naruhodo.I quite liked the design honestly, although my own opinion on her is superficial at best:>I'm what would be called (or *is* called) a hairfag, and the longer the hair, more I like it, so I also liked the growth of her hair;>As someone who really likes eye powers, I actually like the eyes, but yeah, I can see how it clashes with the rest of the design.Either way, it was nice to read your thoughts on her. Also,>I have considered giving Jynx a mega evolution and just saying that Jynxite is really hard to find.>I feel like it's too "my main character is special" for my tastes. While it's a perfectly reasonable reasoning, how often has it happened of more than a single trainer being seen with a certain Mega? I stopped watching the anime around Hoenn and the Adventures manga I had to put on hold after finishing the 1st arc of BW (and have yet to resume) so I can't say anything about them, but in the games, do we see anyone else using a Mega Lucario, Mega Absol, Mega Salamance, etc (well, except the Chosen One protagonist, of course)? So I'd say any Mega Stone *is* the rarest item one can find, but at the same time, it's still something anyone can find.>Also I'm afraid game freak WILL eventually release an official mega Jynx and then I'll have egg on my face.Mewtwo and Charizard already solved that problem.Mega Jynx X and Mega Jynx Y.All that said, not trying to convince you or anything, just thowing some coins around.>pic only tangentially related.>>56897957Can we really call a scrapped design "finalized"? As far as I'm concerned, any design that has yet to be implemented and released is not final. >>56900296[...]>>56894331While personally I can't say I care about "competitive viability" and such things when it comes to making fan content, "the audience are NOT familiar with these mons" is a fair point, so it would be one thing if it was just to be kept for myself, but I'll refrain from adding random fakemon to my OC when it comes to sharing with you folks. . . Otherwise there's no reason for Alex or the villain to use them. I'm probably limiting myself to fake regionals just to put them in that space where they're familiar but you also want to know more about them. I'm also probably adding this in, because I find it strange that normal Revavroom would exist in a world where cars don't. That Cloyster >>56894331seems pretty good, it has good stats but a shitty defensive typing but so does Weavile and it's at least faster than Aegislash so it's useable. It's the reprieve before the harsher shit starts up.>>56902202>detailsAlright let's see if I can do it satisfyingly.>Ema was confirmed stalker OOC for Kouji because it was her first friendship with a guy and she didn't know what to do so she just focused on him>during the week kept texting him and overall wanting to hang out like lunch and etc>continued to stare at him during class>during the weekend asked to meet up with his group>do a quick battle against her group and beat them HARD>Ema wants to take a short walk with him while the groups converse and compare strategies>gives him a bracelet with 7 feathers on it, each different than the other>it's a bad luck catcher charm she crafted while exploring the forest with her group>it needs 7 naturally fallen feathers from 7 different pokemon to be made (game effect: if a critical failure is rolled, the bracelet breaks and instantly becomes a critical success)>Kouji was a bit taken aback by the timing but was overall flustered and happy>unbeknownst to Ema, Kouji is actually a bit of a sewer craftsman, a perk from being a part-time warrior and being an older brother>was told by her previously she never had any real friends growing up except for ghost pokemon that hung around her family's estate, which is why she didn't know how to act as a friend with Kouji beyond staring and smiling>during the weekend Kouji spends a lot of school points (money) and works on a doll of her old childhood friend ghost pokemon (Lilorina from Pokemon Untamed)>literally works and wastes money until he gets a natural 20>Monday, he pulls her aside during break and sheepishly gives it to her>for the first time she drops her smile, stares at the doll, looks up at him, asks if it's for herJust like old times. Cont.
>>56901194Colored and revised!
>>56902274>Kouji nods and tells her it's meant for no one else BUT her>tears roll down her face as she reaches out with trembling hands and takes it from him>she brings it up to her face and silently weeps with tears of happiness>Kouji is retarded and thinks she hates it so he starts freaking out and apologizing up a storm>she shakes her head, hides her face with the doll, takes a minute to calm down and looks over the top of it with reddened eyes>"I... love it.">turns out Ema is and was extremely lonely and while she has made friends, has felt out of place because she went from her family's estate to the school without any social interaction beyond her (as Kouji now knows) her abusive mother and ghost pokemon>she stares at Kouji while continuing to hide her face before she goes back to class>when Kouji comes back the class stares at him because Ema is teary-eyed and and smiling so earnestly that she's practically shining>later on Kouji takes her out on a date after he learns from the boys that she's obviously into him and he takes her to an amusement park>he reveals to her perhaps foolishly toward the end that he isn't sure if he can reciprocate because he's been holding a torch for a girl prior to the school for so many years that he doesn't believe he can give Ema the attention a proper boyfriend should have>she seems saddened by this but is happy her told her and thanks him for the date>date ends bittersweetly... NOT>Kouji realizing he's fucking retarded and hurting a girl because he is simping for another girl who has likely moved on>asks Damian who also had an amusement park date with Alice which ALSO bombed for a favor>spends 300 dollars to purchase fireworks>has Damian set it up far enough away so it can be seen by the entire school dormitories>Kouji calls Ema>"Hey, can you come outside?">Ema comes outside and stares up at Kouji, smiling, but also not quite...Cont.
>>56902333>Kouji gently puts a hand on her shoulder and turns her to face the sky>presses the send button on the phone in his pocket>Damian uses his fire pokemon to light the fireworks set up>he also texts Alice to look out the window>Ema stands there, eyes sparkling from the MASSIVE amount of fireworks lighting up the dusky sky>Kouji: "I'm sorry for being dumb. I... I might be wishy washy, but there is one thing I know for certain.">Ema: "....">Kouji: "I'm happy when I'm with you and, if you're alright with it, I'd like to keep seeing you—">Ema cut Kouji off by grabbing him by his collar, standing on her tippy toes, and putting all her strength into her tiny arms to pull him down and kiss him>it was an innocent smooch before they pull away and Kouji stares at her, beet-red>Ema: "O-of course... I'd like that.">girlfriend # 1 GETOThat took a lot longer than I thought. The long story short however is that Ema and Kouji begin going on wholesome deitos where Kouji learns Ema is so innocent she doesn't even realize why she wanted to kiss Kouji beyond just natural instinct. Since Caterina's is about as long, I might save it for another time. Also pic related, what Ema wore during their first date.
>>56902274>>56902333>>56902372My boy Kouji learning the path of the rizz, great story.>>56902286>Drawing Byron from memory, but you remember he is Roark's dadNah, he is fine. Good job.

My trainer OC isn’t a pokemon trainer but a waifu trainer who catches and trains anime girls.I even made a team for him complete with giving the girls base stats, typings, abilities and the likes, and gave them specific sets in accordance to my made up waifu metagame for my OC to use.I use him to defeat female trainers on JanitorAI then catch them to add them to my collection.

>>56893501I have my pen with me but I’m still probably not going to use it until next year. I also have a lot of other stuff to figure out.How does a drawing tablet… work? I’m using my laptop asa tablet right now since I don’t want to spend money before I know I’m not going to give up (which I’m sure there is a very high chance of happening at some point. Do you *have* to use it as a stand or can you just lay it flat on the table and draw kind of like on paper? What programs do you guys use? I’m thinking of buying SAI because IIRC it’s a one time purchase and it’s supposedly easy to learn and you can do a lot with it despite being “basic”. Krita is the other option that I’m considering. I’m not going to pay a fucking subscription for Clip Studio and I’m not going to use Adobe Fresco because even though it’s free now it’s really for a very different kind of art than stuff you see online. I’m sure Archivist is going to give a “If it’s free, you’re the product” rant about this and I’m also sure as hell not using Photoshop. Course registration is also being a massive bitch so I’m not sure if I’m going to have as much free time within my daily schedule as I did this semester. I’m not exactly regretting using my time on writing instead of drawing but I’m sure that next year on the slim chance that I don’t give the fuck up like I usually do, I’m going to get some “Why didn’t I try this sooner” bullshit from myself.
>>56903567>I’m sure Archivist is going to give a “If it’s free, you’re the product” rant about this
>>56903567>can you just lay it flat on the table and draw kind of like on paper?sure>programsKrita
>>56903567>How does a drawing tablet… work?Like an extremely accurate mouse.>Do you *have* to use it as a stand or can you just lay it flat on the table and draw kind of like on paper?Depends on the kind of tablet and how you usually draw. Screened tablets will naturally want a steep angle, becasue duh a screen, but "normal" tablets (ie intuos, bamboo, etc) can just lay flat on the table. As for software, amongst the free shit there's sai, but if youre not buying second hand, your tablet may come bundled with software of your choice, from which i'd greatly recommend csp if available (my intuos s for example came with a 2 year csp license for reference, but idk what the offers are now). Slight tangent on csp, it's not just subscription only, it also comes with perpetual(lifetime) license which is reasonably priced I'd say, just watch out to catch it during discount season (christmas)And yes, archivist is correct, if you don't pay for the product, you are the product. Pirate your shit when possible.
>>56903898>Pirate your shit when possiblePreach it, baby.
>>56903898I think you read a bit too quickly. I don’t really have a dedicated tablet until at least I figure out whether this will be a commitment or not. I’m using my laptop as one. I tried using it angled to do my math stuff today but it felt weird to write, so that’s why I’m considering just going all the way and using it flat. I know Wacom adverts also show some screened tablets being used flat.>>56903930I don’t trust torrents. You could easily get what you want but you could also end up downloading cheese pizza or a virus (or just a vat of regular porn). I don’t trust my VPN to fully cover me either.
>>56903960I've just been putting my wacom in my lap all this time. >I don’t trust my VPN to fully cover me either.Nothing you probably intend on downloading is going to be important enough for your ISP to crack the whip. Or maybe whoever administrates my ISP has just been based all this time and I don't know it. It's fair to say that if you're downloading something long past the window where it was profitable for a company to care about it, they've got better things to do. A modern version of Photoshop might make their noses twitch, but an obsolete version that's not even on the market anymore?
>>56902562finished editing, it's readable now. I'll work on finishing the chapter tonight if I can get time. If not, it will be a weekend thing
>>56904869>finished editingMust be nice. I'll add it to the to-do list when we're done.
>>56894142>Thread Question: Congrats your OC is now a type specialist, what's their type and how does their team look like. If they already had a monotype team? Well now they don't. (oh also they can bring one mon from the old team along so long it follows the type)Luke would be Rock, He'd hate to leave Torch behind, but if he had to he'd make Rhyperior (Grenda) his ace. His team would consist of Onix, Bastiodon, Golem, Probopass, Rampardos, and Rhyperior>>56893501>Thread Question: How would you interact with your OCs?I could see myself going spelunking with post-timeskip Luke at any age. It's something I wouldn't mind doing, but I've heard about too many Nutty Putty incidents to want to go without a super experienced cave guide. I know it's as simple as "don't go off designated trails" but still.
>>56905262Well I guess I'm never really finished editing because i'm never finished writing. especially since I just do chunks at a time instead of announcing it when the chapter is actually finished.
>>56905290>I know it's as simple as "don't go off designated trails" but still.I promise it really is as simple as "don't go off the designated trails." I half-feel that the reason why people trespass is because modern caving feels so sanitized. It's not a high-octane kind of adventure like white-water rafting, that's for sure. >>56905297That's why I keep Gilded Platinum open in a separate window at all times so I can see every time you forget to place a comma.

Still trying to think of something worth writing about for the SoL segment of chapter 3 that isn't boring to read or boring to write. Only have like 2 short ideas so far.
>>56907180You should probably just move on to something you want to write more. Prioritise!
>>56907204It's for the equilibrium of the chapter though, small SoL breaks between action bits is better than constant non-stop action.

The Koa Interview is now being pushed back to next thread. So you're probably wondering, why push back the release date of something as simple as an interview? Well...
>>56907647How the hell did you squeeze 10,000 words into 16 pages?

>>56907335I just read the entire thing, and well, I'll probably need to read it again in order to grasp every nuance of the second half. Great stuff, this is the kind of stuff that I was waiting for, even if it's a bit tropey except for that "one" part. A few questions, because I don't want to have undeserved excitement. Was the "Not these things again" a callback to the Botphan Incident of CHD, or did you just have it planned out already?Did you have Franco do "that" with Phos as fanservice specifically for me, or was that just something that popped into your head? FYI, I actually didn't gain any sudden "emotions" from that scene.Do the Paradoxes ever reach Lumiose City? Cause I got another "bad idea" from that... namely, law enforcement not being the only ones on the scene... don't worry I'll denote it as a "Fan Gaiden" again, if you'll let me do it.Much to both of our chagrin I have made tiny edits to SP and CHD again, I would appreciate it if you update them whenever you can and also change the title of SP to "Alex - The Follow-Up" so it's right next to CHD.Control Human Delete: https://pomf2.lain.la/f/t6huofas.pdfFollow-Up:https://pomf2.lain.la/f/jdj8k6vh.pdf>You really have to stop giving me such bad ideas.
>>56908283 No. That section was written at least a week in advance and at any rate, it would probably be based on... the event alluded to in my own writing and not some fan's interpretation of said alluded-to event?! Also no. And I don't believe you. I cannot speak on that at this time. Every single line of dialogue has been carefully considered.
Bump. Randomly wondering why some anon was asking me about Emily's physical capabilities a few days ago.
>>56907788At this point you're making her look like Sans on purpose
>>56910230I'm not, the idea for her design has been white hair, blue eyes and a giant blue coat since even before Undertale was a thing. I actually first decided to use the design for her after playing Maplestory 2.
>>56910246>Emili was blackYou may say bruh alll the time, but that's gonna be a "woah!" from me, dog.
>>56910281The idea was moreso super deep tan like Nagataro before I ever knew Nagatoro was a thing. But yeah, I changed her to just being a pale white goblin after like a year after I quit Maplestory 2 and changed little else about her. So instead it's Undertale copying ME with the whole "Sans look". I did the Sans look before Sans was born.
>>56910246Emily really was a sheboon this whole time. Those thighs don't lie.
>>56909327Idk man I felt like CHD reminded you of that thing for you to use. I honestly didn’t think that Botphan would have been expanded on, which is why I wrote that interpretation. Was “Botphan” at least a good name?I was shocked above all else because I really thought the “elaborate sex scene” post was a joke. Though I guess it’s not technically a sex scene since, if my interpretation of the scene is correct, Franco never actually took his pants off nor actually went PIV and Phos never took off her undies. This might come as a surprise to you but there’s no (or well, very little) sexual intent behind “that stuff” in my writing, I either do it because I think it’s funny, or because it’s a specific design detail (because I mention specifics for things I really want to be understood). For example, the Mimikyu scene wasn’t intended to be indulgent, it was meant to be funny, because the idea of a Mimikyu having an interest in someone’s stomach is absurd. Katie’s piercings were meant to contrast her with Phos because you made some remark about Phos’s lack of them being symbolic of “purity” (which I always found odd because, based on THAT scene, she’s anything BUT pure). Two different brands of femme fatale, so to speak. Admittedly, I can see how the “perfectly elliptical” comment would be seen as odd but it’s really just an autistic detail that I want people to get right. More Katie lore will be in the explanation document.Sounds alright. I always want to ask because I never want to directly contradict the official material, just sort of make something occurring “on the sidelines” or expand on something I felt was not elaborated upon such as Botphan.
>>56910658In case you’re wondering, the current idea that I got was some of the Paradoxes running around the streets and Alex trying to catch them while remaining undetected. At one point he bumps into Azelie, she gets mad at him from recognizing that he was actually the guy from The Dossier, they’re about to fight, but then Raging Bolt nukes her Florges and they have to fight it together. The idea is that it baits the audience into thinking it’s going to be a revenge fic, when it’s not. Because I was wondering where the hell Raging Bolt was. Was it just too big to keep in there? Seems like an odd decision to keep only two members of the trio in one place.
>>56910658Your spoiler: >Idk man I felt like CHD reminded you of that thingMy spoiler: No, I promise you not.Your spoiler: >Was spoiler at least a good name?My spoiler: Every time my eyes gloss over that word, it stirs a discomfort in me so intense it feels like my pancreas walked in on my kidneys masturbating. It's just one of those uncannily gross-sounding words to me and I can't fully articulate why. Your spoiler: >I really thought the “elaborate sex scene” post was a jokeMy spoiler: Correct! And the punchline is that I was being completely serious.
>>56893501I said to myself that this wouldn't become a regular occurrence and I still don't think that this is a regular occurrence yet, but it's happened more than once, soAlmost everyone knows and is accustomed to the fact that we can't have everything that we want but there's a special kind of despair that comes when you basically don't get anything that you want. I like to think that I'm a special case and that very few people have their hopes so regularly and thoroughly crushed that it leads to a worldview where your first question is always "Why do I even bother?". I'm not going to get into the details of it because this isn't my personal blog.I think I'm starting to realize that writing and by extension drawing is just escapism for me. I often squander time that could be used for playing videogames (which I really want to get back into) or drawing (which I really want to start), or, more importantly, homework, just to be able to distract myself from from how much else I have to take care of and the fact that the list will only grow. But that highlights the main issue, that you can't do everything, and that some things matter more than others. Writing has always been more important than drawing for me and for some time now has been more important than videogames. But I often find it competing with my responsibilities. So now this is the part where I'm going to give some advice to aspiring writers here and it's the advice that nobody else is going to give you. >YOUR DREAMS DON'T MATTER VERY MUCH.I could really get into some Maslow's Hierarchy bullshit but the simple truth is that there is actually a stupid amount of luck involved in whether or not you can do what you want to. Just having access to 4chan is a huge privilege. I'm quite frustrated with this homosexual, cartoonish, borderline nonsensical go-getter idea that you should always persist and have hope no matter what. The truth is that you need to be lucky, stupid, or naïve to be an optimist-
>>56911295>anon discovers opportunity costsMan, and I thought I was nuts.
>>56911295Because optimism is, for the most part, fostered by both genes (look it up) and your environment. If you're lucky enough to grow up in, or perhaps transition to, an environment that fosters optimism, you're not really getting the full picture of your life. At its core, optimism is a cope. If you're familiar with basic psychology, you'd know that maximum optimism is a bad thing, from a scale of 1 to 10, you really want to be an 8 or a 7, as a 10 is delusion (and we have way too many 10s in this world). But reaching the status of an 8 or a 7 alone takes not only effort but just sheer luck. Some people have optimism ingrained in them from either their upbringing or genetics. Other people have to learn it. Some people just can't get to it at all, because their circumstances just don't allow it. And that's okay. This sort of endless wellspring of optimism and hope that some people have results from the fact that they never really received a challenge to it. Nothing ever happened to them to make them question such a stupid worldview. Pessimism forms from the contrary, you're never really given a reason to hope in the first place. The annoying part is, optimists try to convince you that you do, when you don't. Those who believe that you should persist forever don't really realize that you can't. At some point, the fuel just runs out. Some people have bigger fuel tanks than others. But I mean it when I say that "never give up" is one of the stupidest things you can say.I'm now going to spin this into a pseudo-positive thing. It's okay to give up. Smart people know when to give up. Sometimes your dream just isn't worth it and it's better to move on. What you cannot do is what you cannot do and trying to convince yourself that you can is only going to lead to misery. It's also okay to hate yourself and your creations. It's normal and natural. People who say that it isn't, just don't really understand. They're just afraid of losing their hope and persistence.
>>56911531Because they know that they'll end up becoming what they hate, and that maybe, just maybe, they might be wrong, but it takes a pretty hard crash before they realize it.The thing about optimists is that they keep trying to get up after each time their legs are bruised. But sometimes, life takes a baseball bat and breaks your legs. And you can't get up anymore. And that's when you run out of fuel. And that's when you snap out of being an optimist.>>56911456I've actually had the idea of writing out an opportunity cost metaphor in order to explain why I don't draw. I just never got around to writing it.

>>56893501My time crunch rant sort of made me want to begin working on Black Blaze again right away after I finish the Koa Interview tomorrow. But I'm still not sure what the right course of action would be because although CHD was a flop, finishing the explanation document would be easier and faster, but each minute I spend doing something other than Black Blaze decreases the chances of it releasing this year, but I also hate the idea of having something on the backburner after Black Blaze. If I finish Black Blaze and there's still a sizeable amount of time left before the end of the year, I will probably delay it until I finish the explanation document. I will also delay the release of Black Blaze until EIF finishes at least, assuming that I somehow finish Black Blaze before EIF finishes. That's right! Considering how much he jabbers in yiddish, his name is far more likely to be some shit like shaunberg or shaunstein. One can't help but notice how it's always the kike shills and their hired shitskins who support him, or his filthy jew family that lets him reset their routers, or his fellow jews who let him beg them for freebies. He'll never be able to deny this because shaunberg, as a yid, has no spelling errors when typing in his native language, yiddish. Meanwhile, whenever he tries to type in English, so many typos abound. This alone is enough to out shaunstein as a filthy jew, who was kicked out of Nasser Yorat University and not New York as he tries to imply, and was rejected from the University of Tel-Aviv and not UTM. >>56893501So, I tried using my pen today for homework and I’ve already run into a few problems. First of all, my pen is twice the thickness yet only 3/4 the length of the pencils that I use to write on paper. Second, Adobe isn’t an accurate representation of how I write on my laptop because it’s not really designed for precision writing, meaning that if I really want to get a feel for it I have to do it on a drawing program. Lastly, are you sure that display tablets are supposed to be angled? I feel like my laptop shakes a little bit when I angle it as opposed to just making it flat. I know Wacom ads have some display tablets being used flat. And apparently Wacom pens are even thicker than the one that I have.

>>56918441There are regularily bump generals that last on /a/ for two weeks because they're only kept alive by a handful schizos that bump them on page 10. /a/ is much faster than /vp/ so it's not that surprising.

>>56917832I checked the archives and ever since October 19th (the last thread we had coasting off of the momeuntum of the Teraleak), all of the threads have lasted 6 or 7 days. We did actually have one thread that lasted 7 days during that era, but that was a huge anomaly at the time. If we start getting into double digit amounts of days, that's when we need to get worried.
>>56919937True, but some threads feel more faster than others. Maybe because we talk with each other and there's positive progress.Threads were most are back and forth or Shawn breaking his asshole like hello.jpg, those are the ones that feel like a slug to pass.

>>56921926I’m generally the one responsible for new threads unless I’m either asleep or at uni (cause I sure as hell don’t trust my university network). Archivist just has this anally autistic fixation with making sure that the task and question are seperate topics, and, assuming that this is actually him and not just some discordtrannies or some lurker faggot trolls, I think that this hit particularly close to home because he for some reason vows to never draw himself. The first post is just a joke about the obscenely high 142 speed stat and the only reason I do it twice now is because I have developed a nasty habit of forgetting to add the link to the previous thread. Someone remind me about it next time.TLDR Don’t worry about it
>>56922019Oh yeah and the thing that exacerbates this is that to the observer, the pairing of thread tasks is somewhat random. I do it based on whether or not I think it makes sense/is optimal. >>56922151>However, we can still try to get along.Yes but it feels like some people are just trying to cause problems. A lot like the outright cliques do.
>>56922019>Archivist just has this anally autistic fixation with making sure that the task and question are seperate topicsHe's not alone on that btw. >>56922890Old /tog/ was a clique. Not current /tog/.
>>56922890What? Where do you people keep getting that idea? Our OP is a colossal moron but we've never been anything less than welcoming to anyone who comes here. Everything I've ever done here has all been an effort to try and encourage other people to create something new, why would I want to turn them away? We have a fucking museum celebrating everyone who drops off something original, all for the singular purpose of saying "this is what /vp/ can do." No it's not a fucking clique, we just have terrible marketing.
>>56922969I didn't mean like a closed off clique, though I guess I have a more generalized understanding of the word
>>56893501>>56922123I'm going to go off on a limb here because some people (not targeted) don't seem to know the distinction between friend and foe. The reason that these people are ostensibly trolls is because they don't contribute anything at all to the thread. All they do is wait for when someone appears to be vulnerable and try to dupe actual contributors into dogpiling on them. Whenever you ask them about who they are or what they've contributed, they always give some variant of "I keep my complaints separate from my writing". They do this because they don't actually have anything to back themselves up. It's why they refer to themselves in vague terms like "we" or "I" and it's why they pretend to have been here when they really haven't, and it's also why they try to mimic the behaviors of established users. Likewise, anytime you point this out, they start running around in circles saying "Anyone who disagrees with you is a troll". They don't know how to argue. They just know how to point the finger. They don't criticize constructively. They never back up any of the inane claims that they make up about their targets. Contrast this with the people that they complain about who actually verifiably have contributed something to the thread. Sure, our stuff might not be palatable or even good but at least we MADE SOMETHING. In the words of Archivist, "If you are creating, it means that they are not", and in the words of Bill Murray, "It’s hard to win an argument with a smart person, but it’s damn near impossible to win an argument with a stupid person", and in the words of Joseph Goebbels, "Accuse the other of that which you are guilty". You simply can't win with these people. They will forever be stuck in a parroting cycle of "I'm not deflecting, you're deflecting" because above all else their aim is to confuse and obfuscate details by slinging shit and hoping that someone is dumb enough to allow it to stick. There is very little that separates them from Shaun
>>56923225No you fucking nitwit. We (plural because it's definitely not just me who hates your nonsense) are not trying to troll you. If we did, there would have been a fucking field day with your shitty "optimism sucks" pissyfit. You are genuinely just that annoying to both contributing anons and lurkers and it is simply because you're a little bitch who refuses to not shit up the thread when you are CONSTANTLY given feedback as to how not to. It is genuinely not that hard to just listen to what other people say and not bitch and moan about your insecurities.People have dunked on you before multiple times now and with a fair amount of restraint to boot. But yeah, just pretend this isn't a pattern and no one has any valid criticisms, you literal child.
>>56922969 (you)>>56923225Look, today's not a day where I want to have to play group therapist. This post will be my first and only involvement in this nonsense. I promise nobody smacks you in the nose with a rolled-up newspaper more than I do, anon. No one's talking about kicking you out or replacing you, no one's asking you to stop posting or stop creating, no one's gangstalking you (yet). They're just asking for you to stop being a cunt. You have repeated and recurring behavioral issues that I, and others, have confronted you about before. I'm not going to list them off because other anons can involve themselves if and only if they want to and I'm not interested in repeating what you already know. Don't complain that the focus is on your bad habits when you are the one repeatedly pushing them into the spotlight. It doesn't matter who's saying what or what their intentions are. Reflect on your own actions amd the impact they have on others and you might learn something. You may be my child, but you are not a child, and I trust you to be able to handle it when I have to voice my concerns.
>>56923937>About the post aboveI get where you're coming from but I do think that this whole thing is somewhat motivated by trolling, because I remember that similar things would happen to Emily for no reason. All of a sudden some random guy would get in a fight with him, you even designated him as "Rocky's Ex-Girlfriend", and if you look at Emily's own commentary on this, you'll see that whoever's behind this also started to mock him. He's right about how such aggressive posts come off as just shit-stirring and needless drama. In addition, I've spoken once or twice before about how I wondered if maybe I really did have a secret hater, in spite of the overwhelming evidence that this is all just some inane trolling. As a result, said trolls can just piggyback off of my insecurities since I made the mistake of making them known. So I'd like to offer a bit of pushback, you say nobody smacks me more than you, but here we are with a bunch of unknowns screeching at me. Get where I'm coming from? Not interested in an argument, just saying. When these people not only don't reveal their names but actively refuse to, I can't help but suspect them.>About your postI appreciate the feedback. The recency of this "phenomenon" should probably give off that this is a new thing brought about by a deteriorating mental state. Anyways, I'm generally not inclined to listen to people unless they identify themselves because otherwise they just come off as shit-stirrers to me. I can tell when someone actually wants to give input and when they just want to seethe. Obviously, you manage to fall into the former category. It's not really like I refuse to listen to input either, such as the time that I carelessly spoiled someone's fic. I generally only care when there's a name behind it, however. I don't want to push my personal issues too often, but I also don't want to be hounded whenever I do. Thanks for being respectful and I'll try to take this advice in the future.
>>56924410Give me a few more minutes to get home, darling.
I'm catching up on reading and responding proper, thoughever.I can't believe there's a whole complete one-shot manga.>>56924410This is an anonymous mongolian basket weaving site, but if you need another mask off moment as evidence of sincerity here it is.To one point, as it's been said, if you're making threads (leading), be a good leader and listen to your people. Listening to other's opinions and putting them before your own comes with the job.
>>56924410Straight up this has not been a new phenomena, you're in the most insane denial I have ever fucking seen. You have multiple different vocal haters that are not secret in the slightest. Not attaching an OC to the hate does not mean it does not exist.Think for more than two seconds for the love of god. If someone actively shits on someone else tied to an OC then that creates an environment where, in this super tight-knit community, we have two people actively antagonizing each other. The thread is no longer this cozy space where we're all friends, which makes this place objectively worse. Being anonymous is a way to alleviate pressure without creating conflict between known entities. Maybe you have some sort of autism that makes it so that you don't understand social dynamics. It wouldn't surprise me at all. Listen, I don't care if you listen to me or the Archivist as long as you stop acting like an annoying little shit. People have given you criticism respectfully before, myself included, and you have not listened. Therefore you should not be surprised when I or others use aggressive language in an attempt to get information through your thick skull. Carrot-and-stick. No one cares to see your personal shit. That is an entirely selfish act that brings down the thread. The only options are to ignore it (like we all did) or to shit on you for doing it because trying to change your perspective is impossible and thus utterly meaningless. And yet here I am in some vain hope that you stop being a faggot someday, because I like this thread.
>>56924542>if you're making threads (leading), be a good leader and listen to your people. Listening to other's opinions and putting them before your own comes with the job.Welp, that about sums 'er up.>>56924410First of all, I'm grateful to have created an environment where people like you feel comfortable saying things they might otherwise be reserved about. Yes, you are obviously going through some shit, that's plain as day to see. Whatever it is you have going on, you say you won't mention it, you're not obligated to speak about it, and it may be for the best not to, but you are--and have been--using very toxic coping mechanisms to try and sort through it, and your actions have been negatively impacting your peers. And you know this, I know you do. But it's not enough to know what you're doing, you have to understand that there's other actions you could and can take that would be more positive for yourself and others. And I'm not saying it's easy. Lord knows I'm the single angriest man who has ever lived, but we have to make the effort to improve ourselves and we are afforded that opportunity every day.Let's see if we can't turn this discussion into a net positive for the thread and briefly touch on some points that others have mentioned. >the Dragapult firstiesIt was a funny joke with the Voltorba anti-joke and it's long since overstayed its welcome. What if we instead used those early posts to show off more recent artwork beyond what we use for the OP? We can marry that with the recent writing works to better emphasize what we do in this thread. And if there's a slow week (there never has been, objectively), the archive's up to 1441 files--that's an average of 131 new works per month, there's gonna be something worth posting. >recent worksOne good idea is hardly a fair trade for a dozen bricks, but credit where it's due. However, let's try to keep the link spam to a minimum in the OP and save them for the follow-up posts. >thread tasksHoo boy.
I have a thread question: What's some bad Pokémon advice that your OC believes. Anywhere between uninformed/misinformed stuff to conspiracy level stuff because they don't trust big pharma or something.
I dont know enough about the thread, or recognize the writing style of different anons, but either someone had a bad day and decided to direct their frustration over here, the dam that held the emotions that were bottled up for a while towards other anons here finally broke, or like others anons said, trolls trying to stir shit.I dont have a stake in this conversation, I just feel a to 3rd POV from someone that is rarely engaged with the thread would be useful.
>>56924642>>56924410>thread tasks This is a big one, and the most obvious disconnect between you and your peers. You have time and time again disregarded suggestions in favor of some of the most milquetoast suggestions you could think of. The issue is not that the task and question are married topics, it's that the topics are inherently uninteresting. >ie, the infamous bubblegum request that made Tweny ragequitWith a variety of tasks, you might at least be able to throw an idea on a dartboard that appeals to someone. Will or nill, >>56922114 is right. There's a lot of "I" and "me" motifs that come up in your behavior, and while that's not an unreasonable stance, this thread is at its very best when it's "we" and "us." This is a collaborative effort, you can't just ascribe value to the people you can put faces on. >in summaryThe OP is more than just an anchor post, it's our ambassador to the board and website as a whole. It represents us--all of us--on a global stage and should be given the reverence that is due. It isn't about what you think is best, it's about what's best for the thread and everyone who contributes to it. There are people on this board who absolutely despise Tesoro without knowing anything about him just because you spammed his face in the OP so many times. That is not fair to the creator, just like messing with the OP links designed to help newcomers is not fair to anyone who might have been interested in seeing what we're about. And yeah, I'm pretty fucking bitter that the editor and I busted our asses off getting that release out just for you to say nothing significant happened, but this isn't about me.If you need to take some time away from the thread to sort out your feelings, that's fine. But the belligerent way you've been acting cannot continue. The pushback will continue and you have poor bystanders like these >>56924684 >>56924674 handsome men caught in the middle and they don't deserve that.
>>56924684It's the second, but the dam's been broken for a while. It's not like I haven't had opportunities for a while but I want, if nothing else, to make it very goddamn clear to that anon that this is genuine hate, not just petty trolling. It's not like I enjoy wasting posts with this bullshit but if we're going to have this conversation once again I'm going to drive that shit home. I won't be continuing this to the next thread.
Honestly, I'm just so sick of the bullshit and pity shit he causes. Always about him, never thinking of others. And he's never to blame, nooo.I don't even have the energy nor do I really care to write out my complaints because the other anons have done it so much better themselves. All I can really say is "better yourself", because if this continues then the thread is going to have a lot more than just this to say, and we might end up doing something that's not going to be fun for anyone involved.
Not going to respond to the anally retentive trunk monkey.>>56924542I’m not sure if we have differing perspectives but I never thought of this as a “leadership” position. I didn’t plan on any of this but I had some shit to get out. Not going to get into the details but repeated failed attempts at improvement kind of just convinced me that my major issues are innate and that I can only fix the minor ones. That being said, I don’t want to be known as that kind of person and I’m just hoping that nothing bad happens soon again because now I kind of just have to keep it to myself. Anyways>FirstiesI am going to get shit for this but I figure that now is the time to reveal it: I just shamelessly get a high from identifying myself as the thread maker and at this point it’s just become routine. “Oh, yeah, that’s Alex again”, I didn’t think people had any emotions about it whatsoever. >>56924729>Thread tasks This one mostly just confuses me because even when explained to me I find it extremely difficult to register why someone would care about something that appears so mundane to me. >About the OPThis was actually the reason that I created the Recent Works section, while I understand your desire to keep OP uncluttered but I think that this is the best way to give our writing exposure, because a lot of people including myself tend to skip the first post of a thread (which goes back to the firsties issue).

I will say, as the one who really started to echo the sentiment of the other guys up there, that we are sorry to the innocent bystanders to this whole thing. Ideally we wouldn't have this conversation in the first place and alexanon wouldn't be a lost cause. Personally I think there's value in being level-headed, but I also think it's important to be honest about our sentiments. I don't believe either approach is wrong. To my very angry friends, I will say that I'm glad that you guys have overall been very temperate. Frankly I'm very proud of you all. I do recommend, however, that you guys take a step back from the thread and cool off. This'll probably happen again because yknow, but I want you to know that if nothing else, I feel for you.

>>56925047can't tell but he speaks like that guy who showed up during alex's first depression ranthttps://arch.b4k.co/vp/thread/56642979/#q56696524https://arch.b4k.co/vp/thread/56642979/#q56695557I just lurk alot and I feel like these two people are the same ones that were yelling at alex today
alex is probably the one who keeps provoking shaun too, most likely
>>56925047No, that anon is completely right. I understood the consequences of what I was saying when I said it so I don't mind taking ownership of it. He's well within his right to disagree with my actions.>>56925094The first one was me but the second one is not.
>>56925094>>56925119My bad, Gs. My naive and trusting nature got the better of me again.
I'm generally not a conspiracy theorizer but the fact that Shaun started attacking as soon as the other two guys left does seem to suggest that they're in some way related to Shaun>>56925114The only time I ever posted the Shaunberg copypasta, I got a 3 day vacation. https://arch.b4k.co/vp/thread/56292149/#q56297318Needless to say, I haven't done it again and the fact that you'd insinuate that shows how much of a newfaggot you are.
>>56924927>>56925024It was either that one or "the couch", I could probably talk about fav girls beyond the "white bread" choices like Cynthia but this is not the place to talk about it.
I was going to make a follow-up post but really I just want to put all of this shit behind me because I don’t want for the night crew to have to pick up this thread on an awkward position. Unfortunately due to today’s occurrences both online and IRL I can safely say that I have once again failed to meet a deadline even though I also kind of don’t really care. This thread is sadly going to stick with me emotionally for a long while as well. Next thread I’m going to open with some team building stuff and minor antagonist discussion. I just hope I have the strength to not get sidetracked again as I finally get back to working on Black Blaze later this week. So now I just have one question.>>56925357How is that Alex model coming along?
>>56925414>I just want to put all of this shit behind me because I don’t want for the night crew to have to pick up this thread on an awkward positionToo late, because I was a witness, and all I will say is that my takes are cynical, not positive, and since I don't have something good to say, I'll just shut the fuck up, make some tea, relax, and watch this thread not die while you guys sleep. But why you should sleep? Is a weekend night.Go fuck a chickWrite until your fingers bleedEat until you resemble Shaun's shitty vore picsGame until you are blind and broke because everything is live service lootbox/casino pull shitTake Typhlosion's berries and go kill UrsaringsJust chill. the fuck. OUT.Bump
>>56925414Real thing, I didn't have the mood to do the card or use the program for a while until recently. This is what I had available for a while. I also started engaging in other stuff or other things like deadlock, modded minecraft with friends which in turn made me want to play modded minecraft by myself among other things or random rabbit holes that get my attention in between my homework or university in general, like everything related to sillytavern or chatbots. I have to do a homework tomorrow, but I could probably improve him more tomorrow, still no idea when the deadline is going to be.
>>56924674I'll get the ball rolling I guess.Luke prefers to use Energy Roots and Revival Herbs instead of potions. A different trainer had to convince him that potions don't have harmful chemicals in them. Much to the gratitude of his Pokémon.
Bruh.
>>56926189Go back to bed, next thread will be better.I hope
>>56926379I already slept like 10-11 hours.
Currently really blocked on how to move forward with a story I've been writing, so I'm drafting up the idea for an OC and story to go along with him do try and refresh my mind on writing. My current idea is that he grew up as a delinquent and is pushed onto a journey through his region's league to make something of himself to help support his family, as he's a college dropout without many skills outside of Pokemon battles. For his team, I'm settled on Scraggy, Slowking, and Honchkrow for one half of it.I'm currently trying to think up what other mons I could add. I'm a fan of the idea of having a pseudo legendary or other late-evolving mon. Some I have in mind were Tyranitar, Noivern, Hydrapple, or Hydreigon. I'd like to have multiple fairy-weak mons on his team in order to act as an opposite to a friend of his, who's a fairy type specialist.Any anons got ideas or suggestions to go along with the current choices or ideas for his team?
>>56926455Pick Noivern. Is a good pseudo, and it goes well with the whole "delinquent" vibe.
>>56926455I think he would really benefit from having a Honchkrow, Scrafty, Zoroark, and Malamar. If you want to be authentic to the game experience, give him a wide team that he can switch between.
>>56926804Yeah, that'd probably be a good way to go about it, I did a recent run of Moemon Star Emerald and used a rotating team of a bunch of mons, which was a fun experience.I did also have a thought for an original regional variant of Scrafty as one of my initial ideas for the dude's region was basing it off either Newfoundland and the surrounding area, or Scandinavia, with the idea being for a fighting/ice type Scrafty with a cooler color scheme and its pants becoming larger and fashioned like a winter jacket, though I'm still very early in the planning stages when it comes to what I want the region to be like.
>>56926835>Scrafty's shed skin turns into a poofy winter coatOh that's rad. We have some resources in the >I don't know how to make a character! tab up in the OP that can help you design your region, you should take a look. Mostly this one https://theworldofpokemon.com/ for the option to procedurally generate routes and entire map layouts.
Page 9 Bump.
Be sure to start brainstorming task ideas as we approach the end of the thread. Use the ethnographic quiz in the OP links for inspiration if it helps. >>56927477Thanks, boo. >>56920287What a great start to my morning. I love the way you point out how a battle is like a conversation, Bibi really understands what makes Trainers who they are. It was a pretty fun choice to feature an aged-up Bibi, kinda like how I like to use an aged-down Phos, and probably for similar reasons. But I'm not sure I understand the significance of the souvenir at the end. I'll try to rack my brain when I get back to work.
>>56927549Page 9 came out of nowhere, had to put down what I was doing and bump. I assume discord trannies started spamming in other spots on the board again.
>>56927477w-what is she doing with that gun?
>>56927885Who knows? It was just a prompt of her posted up to snipe somebody cause I felt like it.
>>56927914who is giving this child guns!?Is the pokepolice really *that* easy-going?
>>56927932She was born into a rich family that runs one of the major import-export companies in Castelia City. Throw enough money at a gun runner and they'll give a 15 year old an armor piercing sniper rifle chambered in .338 Lapua. But more realistically it'd be a rifle made by Arai instead. Guns are a trivial thing for her to build from scratch.
>>56928019I suppose guns aren't the biggest deal in a world where children can have walking tasers at the age of 8.
>>56928079Pretty much. Average teen has shit like Tyranitar and other big mons that can level areas. A gun is just a precision instrument that goes under the radar cause I imagine even most criminal groups do their work using Pokemon. The idea of one human killing another with a gun rather than a Pokemon within the criminal sphere is probably super rare.

Well, last posts. Anything to add before we move?
