But I think using solid die for damage counters should be fine (someone at my LGS do this).In ETBs you get numbered dice, from 10-60 to 130-180. You can also get those little cardboard circles with the numbers on them, usually found in starter decks, or any official product that's not a pack I guess.

Both VGC and TCG have new format/rotations once a year when they change the rules on what's legal, but the TCG also gets the chance to change each set tooThe issue arises when new sets don't release any good meta cards for a while, we get stuck in the same meta for months. Trainer pokemon all being hyper specific to ONLY that trainers deck is a pretty bad sign for shaking up the meta. If the trainer deck isn't good, then all those cards were wasted. So that set wouldn't change the meta at all as the trainer deck wasn't good enough to be competitive. Obviously we hope said deck would be good, but so far none of them look at all competitive-worthy to change the meta, and unlike other printed archetypes (like ancient/future), at least those cards can be used in other decks like iron hands ex.

I was running one with duskull line to KO things in one attack sometimes but I feel like it lost me a lot of games. Also, I like the 50 hp eevees because one can evolve from deck but I will also say they've never been sniped off the bench yet
