Riddoch Edition>I want to learn the game, where do I begin?Download PTCGL at https://tcg.pokemon.com/en-us/tcglThe game has a quick tutorial and a bunch of decent decks to get you started against other beginners or against the AI. Reposting since I didn't see the new thread>>57137352Way too slow with those energy costs (Reversal Energy doesn't work on Greninja ex)No draw engineToo many attackersTry any of these>Palkia VStar for acceleration and second attacker>Take out Golurk, Azumarill, and 1 Kyurem, they slow you down>Change Colress with Earthen Vessels or Akamatsu, or try and fit a stadium (Kyurem only works when your opponent has it in the discard)>Use Radiant Greninja/Bibarel for draw engine, you can also attack with Radiant Greninja>Make the energy ~7 Water, 2 Reversals, 3 Boomerang, and 2 Double Colorless Energy (not Double Turbo, it's worse, since you're playing Expanded)
as a new player this was the most scary thing I've seen so far, it was his first turn...
>>57138200That's just a normal Miraidon first turn desuKlawf also does the same thing btw
>>57138207I just conceded a bit after cause I had no clue what to dohow the heck do I play against it (I am very new)
>>57138213You take 6 prizes and you win. It might be intimidating but it's not as scary as it seems. They play mostly basics with relatively low HP which is easy to KO, but they also pack quite a punch and can KO you back easily. Just need to try and keep up with them.
>>57138232Oh, gotcha. I did kinda give up too fast cause the opening spooked me, I'll give it a more honest try next time.
Why is Okidogi not meta? You'd think being able to attack for 260 turn 1 is good.
>>57138713New to the game, but I'm guessing by the time it gets to attack it's gonna be dead. He seems alright if you play early but not okidogi after 2\3 turns, so maybe you win 1\2 prices but then that's it.
>>57138200>>57138232Were there always 8 bench slots? Bit jarring to see even as someone who used to play the card game for years, then went on TCG Pocket for a gay old time
>>57138902Stadium effect if you have a tera mon
>>57138902Riko sexooo
>>57138902As anon said, Area Zero lets players that have a Tera mon in play have 8 bench spaces. It's not as powerful as Sky Field was back then, though.
>>57138713Unable to beat dragapult or charizard (until the new -30HP stadium came out)At that point you just use roaring moon instead, able to ohko + use sada as a superior supporter over janine
I want him to be good again
>>57139329this but with garde
>>57139329Cool Roaring Moon. *takes a 4 prize turn*
Would the 2024 trainers kits be a decent foot in the door to build up a collection to check out locals with? I've been eyeing them since i've been opening lots of packs for general collection lately and i kinda wanna try playing with the stuff I dont have on display + deciding which packs to go collecting next.
I did it /vp/. I opened a shitton of Pokémon cards on Christmas, and I managed to pull the SIR Pikachu ex.
I'm thinking of going to my local card shop's pokemon challenge tonight. never played in-person before. should I do it?
>>57139788just realized this is the wrong thread, apologies
>Eevees are so shit not even pokecabook has results for them as rogue decks>have to find them under terra festival instead
>>57139787If you want to build a single deck, buying only the cards you need as singles probably still beats it. If you think you'll be playing a lot of different decks and that you'll make use of most of the staples then the Trainer Toolkits are the best bang for your buck simply because by sourcing all those singles shipping costs grow very fast. The selection of cards itself is great, they missed some useful ones because they purposely avoided putting in anything that gets rotated in March but there's pretty much all of the modern staples you might need.>>57139831If you've already got the physical cards there's literally nothing to lose. Go for it. I just recently started playing in person, too, and it's surprisingly satisfying.
I got a bunch of these codes that I don’t care about. Is this the right thread to post them?

>>57140073Neat, though if i'm reading this correctly the 2024 kit doesnt come with basic energies? Bit cringe but I do have an etb on the way so its not a huge issue and I'm sure people offload bulk energies all the timeKinda wish they kept the yellow borders to sate the 'tism but thems the breaks
>>57140392Thank you anon, got this Roaring Moon ex.
>>57140432You end up with plenty of energies from boosters if you open them, but you can also order them in bulk online for pretty cheap.
>>57140469You’re welcome
On a quest to find a playable psychic deck, what would be best? I was thinking of a one-prizer azumarill + togekiss deck but then i'd have no way to deal with stage 2 decks which are very popular rn, so i thought a mewtwo ex deck with the xatu engine might suffice, but what do you guys say?
just play gardevoir lol
>>57141448somehow forgot about her, but she really is the best option huh, though i'm still curious about decks that don't run her
>>57141576the lake trio
This + Raging Bolt. Valid?
>>57142183nah Ogerpon still do better job
asssssss
>>57142183Iono's Bellibolt is better if we're comparing new cards.
>>57142183Darkrai vstar would've loved this
>>57142261Welcome back BuzzRoc 2025!
>>57142261Lmao that really is shitImagine dubwool being the MVPAbility: Challenge HornWhen you play this Pokémon from your hand to evolve 1 of your Pokémon during your turn, you may switch in 1 of your opponent’s Benched Pokémon to the Active Spot.>Umbreon vmax as a 1 prizer>Wooloo has 70 HP so fuck dragapult>All colorless so rotom synergyTerapagos is going to be more degenerate
>>57142261This things seems pretty nutty with the rest of the support cards revealed today. With Hop's Band attached, Postwick stadium in play, Snorlax on the bench, this thing is is hitting 120 active and 30 to the bench for no energy. Budew can eat a dick.
Mamoswine ex – Fighting – HP340Stage 2 – Evolves from PiloswineAbility: Mammoth CarryOnce during your turn, you may search your deck for a Pokémon, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Then, shuffle your deck.[F][F] Rumbling March: 180+ damage. This attack does 40 more damage for each Stage 2 Pokémon on your Bench. When your Pokemon ex is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.Weakness: Grass (x2)Resistance: noneRetreat: 44 benched stage 2's and you ohko everything. Obviously Pidgeot-ex will be one of them, but could you get by with a dead bench full of luxray/klinklang? It sucks to lose gengar to rotation since that was something that didn't rely on your opponent to get into play.>>57142534>All colorless so rotom synergy100hp limit so rotom only fetches you a wooloo. Terapagos already had noctowl for prime catcher as an evolution gust.>>571426343 metal and a tool is still a terrible cost for the second attack. Maybe there will be some way to make it work with metang acceleration while still finding the damage mods you need.
>+30 and -1 energy tool>+30 stadium>+30 abilitySo Hop's whole schtick is to ramp up damage? At least it's doing it better than Future did lolI'm guessing the others would be similar? Only thing I see is Iono's synergy with her Bellibolt attaching to Voltorb and Kilowattrel, and I guess Lillie's Comfy getting Lillie's mons for Clefairy.
>>57142658Yeah 3 metal is pretty steep but it has ceiling of 350 damage, that can one shot pretty much anything in the game. You probably only need to use the second attack once or twice to win a game, the rest of the time you can just pick off some cheap prizes for no energy with the first attack while you power up another zacian. Maybe a clear Trumpet and energy switch combo can be enough.
>>57142526>>57142634You should know from future box, that having a shit attack and needing to stack modifiers to get anywhere literally wont work in the current metas. It's far too weak and way too moving parts in this fast pace meta. Plus bench sniping is worthless when teras are immune to it and HP is bigger than ever>>57142658>Terapagos already had noctowl for prime catcher as an evolution gust. It's an extra body for the bench. Noctowl is likely fetching crispin to fix your energy issues since DTE rotates. Grab an ultra ball with that to evolve your existing wooloo
>>57142688Listen, I'm not saying it's game breaking but out of the cards revealed so far, Hop is the Owner's Pokemon that has the most potential as a stand alone deck. The problem with future pokemon was that you had to clog up your bench with a bunch of 2 prize liabilities to ramp up your damage, the Hop supports are much more manageable in comparison. He'll you can get all of your pieces with secret box.
>>57142721>Secret box for snorlax stadium tool>Just to do 120 + 30 with your 2 prizer in activeDo you see the problem? That's utterly worthless. Your zacian is being eaten by everything in the format You're not even 2HKOing the meta threats, nor sniping enough on bench to cheat extra prizes as everyone is 70hp dragapult proof. The only way you're getting the 2nd attack built is with metangs which is even MORE pieces on top of the stadium+tool+snorlax, plus filling your deck with energy when you don't want to as you can attack for less with the tool. That's becoming even more clunky than future box ever was
>>57142688>he doesn't know ball
the best card they revealed today was voltorb lol
>>57142658He would be op with Gengar still in the format
I've been playing Gardy EX but I keep getting draws because 25 minutes is way too tight for this deck and it's making me frustrated. But rotation is just a week away (for me, JP) and I'm hesitant to build something new right now. Fuck me for building this deck, it's fun but not viable for my slug brain, I wish I'd known.
I started playing Pocket to scratch that card collecting itch, but the pvp was bare bones and now I'm having a great time with TCG Live. I like how many free decks they give, but what are the smart plays for spending the currency in game? I plan on being F2P, but all these bundles are tempting.
>>57144001The most efficient way to get cards is to get the Celebrations 6 booster bundle (it's about 1060 crystals). You get nothing of value at first so it's slow going, but it's a tiny set and they're all high-priced cards so after you do that a couple of times you can get around 2000+ credits per pack.If you need crystals just do your dailies, level up the battle pass and sweat out the ranked ladder.
>>57142773F and G
>>57142944the card that lets you swap out your prizes seems like it would be useful.
New player here, can someone spoon-feed me on what set rotates out and when? Should I wait to make decks in live?
>>57144151>what set rotates outAll remaining sword/shield sets, labelled F>>57144151>whenAround april I think
Why are Paradox Rift and Temporal Forces usually so cheap compared to other SV sets?
>>57144194More stock I'd assume. I only just started collecting again and TF is the one I see out in random drugstores and the like. Hell the only reason I have a decent amoutn of TF is cause my work sells it and I buy em with funbux. the pull rates seem kinda shit though,
>>57144151>WhenMarch-april time. Sometime in spring basically>Should I wait to make decks in live? You can make decks, though I'd advice against heavily investing in decks that will be gone in next rotation. You wouldn't get to use them as long as other decksAs for whats rotating you could use this as a rough guide, it lists the popular archetypes that are rotating, or lose important cards for them to function. If you wanted to invest credits/crystals the best, try and avoid those decks for the best value>https://pastebin.com/RqARyNbE
When the fuck is it time for grass support? It feels like grass gets scraps when every other set has more shit for lightning despite it being good for the past like 2 years nonstop
>>57142526>everyone comparing it to buzzwole gx>buzzwole was just a knockoff of landorus ex but apparently nobody remembers thatfeeling old
>>57144462we can't let le zard be bad
>>57144462Grass ironically never gets support. It's all shitty healing stuff instead Expect fire to get shit loads of support since magma basin is gone, which in turn kills off grass ever existing
>>57144463Landobats.. my beloved..
>>57144463I think people are more comparing Zacian and Dubwool with Buzzwole and Lycanroc, which was a prominent deck in SM meta. Even got the baby Buzzwole with Cramorant.
>>57144566All these trainer mons seem to be pseudo copies of old archetypes>Iono is rain dance >Hop is buzzloc>N is mewtwo zoroarkWonder if they'll continue doing similar gimmicks for the rest of the trainer mons.
>>57144572>bro just get 3 energy + support pokemon + tool + stadiumor i can use roaring moon lmao with 3 energy
>>57144578Lillie is ???
>>57144593yellow border
>>57144604Not enough cards revealed to know yet. Life dew and clefairy are opposites so I don't think she'll be a junk hunt deck
>>57144593You gotta admit attacking for 210 for free with Cramorant is good as fuck tho
>>57144615I'm kinda scared the only card left is Ribombee and it's gonna be bad
>>57144622It seems pretty safe to assume all trainers will get 6 pokemon lines, otherwise what's the point of all the internal synergy.
>>571445933 is energy is just an Archaludon and 1 attachment. With Dark Patch rotating out you'll need Janine+Energy Switch+1 attachment which is way more work.
>>57144609>>57144657Yeah dark patch lose hurts but it's still doable. Remember you still need to figure out how to get energy on zacian on top of all those other stacking buffs. While moon just needs to figure out how to get energy Playing future box a lot I can tell you you're gonna fucking hate needing so many modifiers to get anywhere, you miss one and you're short of a knockout and can never catch up. Cramorant might be able to help but even that needs modifier stackers. They 100% wont reprint any tool recovery because of lilie's pearl being an infinite prize denial then
>>57144622I hope she gets something good, I want to rock my waifu to a tournament and at least be somewhat competitive. They can still give her Lunala, Solgaleo, or Alolan Vulpix and they can all even be Psychic to keep her monotype.
>>57144687>They can still give her Lunala, SolgaleoThey'd probably be 1 prizers like how N's reshiram is. Doesn't seem like trainers will get multiple ex So I'm wondering what they'll do about iono's mismagius, since there's no non-ex teras. And it would otherwise be a psychic type (only workaround I can see is it having an ability that converts lightning energy to psychic)
>>57144699>since there's no non-ex terasI wish these exist. Why should a gimmick like that be stuck on multiprizers? Would've been more fun and fair if they had given it to single prizers as well. Then Tera Orb wouldn't just be a "Search for an ex Pokemon from your deck"
>>57144742Honestly, I think it's to keep Areo Zero in check, having to have a two prizer in play is a fair trade for having an expanded bench.
Noob question but I'm about to go make some unwise financial decisions. There's a handful of trainers that get reprinted in every set right? if I'm reading the rules right as long as they have identical card text they're still legal regardless of which set they're from right? So an ultra ball from a swsh set will still be legal even after rotation? Also god damn is the TCG live app this shitty on purpose to get people buying real cards
>>57145043>So an ultra ball from a swsh set will still be legal even after rotation?Yeah, as long as it's identical you're good to use it. Some people like using really old cards for that reason New ones are pretty cheap since they're printed so much
>>57145053Sounds good. I ordered an astral radiance and crown zenith box for christmas but I think to start looking in earnest I'm gonna pick up twilight masquerade and stellar crown boxes today and see where I can go from there. Been looking at the Hydrapple and Dragapult decks but I think i'll just cobble together what I have until rotation.
>>57145180Generally it's better to buy singles if you're worried about the financial for it, that way you could even go buy gen5 ultra balls or whichever art you prefer for them Unless your goal is wanting to also enjoy opening packs as well of course
>>57145238Yeah, its all christmas money so I've already mulled it over a bit. Pokemon's my only real consoom hobby these days and Pocket's just a little too glue sniffing for me so I may as well learn to play alongside the collection chasing.
>>57145043>Also god damn is the TCG live app this shitty on purpose to get people buying real cardsSmall indie company, please understand

>>57145310forgot to mention prof's research and boss's ordersAnd btw for those two, you cannot use prof oak, sycamore or juniper instead of research in standard format, or lysandre instead of boss's. You can only use those in Expanded and beyond, and not in combination with research or boss.
>>57145321basically this
>>57145321>you cannot use prof oak, sycamore or juniper instead of research in standard format, or lysandre instead of boss's. You can only use those in Expanded and beyond, and not in combination with research or boss. This still makes me mad. I traded for a Sycamore and a Lysandre because I liked the art to play in GGEX since I only needed the one-of and now that we're on PTCGL I still can't even play the deck despite being nearly 2 years into the release of the game.
>>57145359Lysandre really does have the best FA of any gusting supporter
>>57145382WRONG
>>57145382I like the special illustration Ghetsis one a lot, if I could use either I would have trouble picking. Unfortunately I have two and I rarely run more than that, but I only have one FA research I actually like so I'm forced to use the other FAs I don't like
>>57145408>FA researchI started playing again by opening celebration packs, and had a full page of Oaks. Stupid me didn't know players went crazy over them and sold them casually to others. I highly regret not being able to have my 4 Oaks in each deck. Lesson learned.
>>57145402There's a reason why rainbow cards were worth less than regular FAs. They're all too sameyLysandre FA being bright orange was iconic
Sucks that Hop and Archaludon deck aren't poffin compatible
>>57145770That's what Precious Trolley is for.
Is there any way to watch the champions league Osaka jrs division?Their top 8 is very interesting.
>>57142261I like how the one they obviously intend to be the best card of the set is the one who isn't an engine and instead just fits in with Metang or Archaludon. All the others are accelerators or drawers with nothing to swing with inside their box.
>>57146178What's their top 8? Can't find any streams of it unfortunately.

>>57145043Sorry your post piqued my interest, what do you intend to spend money on and for what purpose?
Dumb tcg live question. I'm workign through a big bundle of codes for the first time but I see it automatically traded a Dark Patch from these pulls for some currency? Did I miss something or is redeeming huge batches at once not a good idea?
>>57146938Mostly general collecting desu, but now with a side of trying to learn the game. I picked up a stellar crown etb and have some twilight masquerade BnBs on the way and I think between what I already have and those I'll be good to hunt for singles after that.I was looking at trying out the Dragapult and/or Hydrapple decks
>>57146940Hey I just redeemed a big patch of codes for the first time and know what happened. You can only have a certain number of a card in your inventory 4 for most pokemon trainers ans regular items. if you unpack more they get turned into gems. You can only have a maximum of 1 card for the colorful item cards after that they get converted. The currency they get converted to is really useful because it allows you to exchange for specific cards directly so redeeming lots of codes is a very good idea because even if you don't pull what you need you could be able to exchange for it instead.
>>57146960Thats what i figured, must be stuff thats already in the starter decks. Thanks
Trying to cook something up.

>>57149013nice, this will give me a place to begin. I have to ask the purpose of the Chatot in this list though, since i can't figure it out
>>57150974he exists to lock down an active that would otherwise be able to run for free thanks to latias ex, being able to draw 1 is an alright alternative attack, and he's not a huge pain to get out of the active either. honestly hes kinda just a desperation attempt to buy time against decks like raging bolt, doesn't do anything against roaring moon or other dark decks so they still suck to fight, worst case hes often another mon that can just pop out tm evolutionhes a relatively new addition for me thanks to an anon here posting random cards, but he has won me some otherwise unwinnable matches through locking down something like fez and forcing energy investment into its attack, then countering up another shitlet that isn't energizedhes very cuttable, but his utility has been very valuable imo
>>57151112thanks for the insight. How's the matchup against raging bolt? That's what i'm mostly facing in my town
>>57151124before latias? a pain if you're unlucky on mills but very doablewith latias? pure agony, chatot/mawile locking something in and eri sniping switch items becomes a necessity during mid/lategameeither way choosing to run 2 prizers can really hurt against them because they rig their flips on pokemon catcher every time until proven otherwise, but rotom and spidops add enough to the deck that they're worth the risk. they will get you killed sometimes thoughvery doable but pray they can't afford that damned jet (they likely have it anyway), keep important count of how many of their pokestops have been played and milled, neut zone becomes another key wincon against it. if you can whittle away at the count of them over the game, plus get a couple of carts and switches off the eri, often times they help deck themselves out just by setting up. you'll typically have to eat through at least 30 cards still though, but sada drawing 3 starts to become a detriment for them lategame

What deck is good against Dragapult? Every faggot in Japan is playing this shit and I'm getting tired.
>>57151935Ive only played the pult/thorns variation and Im not in the JP format so idk how helpful my advice is, but garde is always a headache for me to deal with. unless they're bad at the deck. supposedly klawf/pagos is good against it too but I haven't played with the pagos build or against it yet myself so idk how true that is.
>>57151767I love this design of card, it's just so cozy looking
I got second place at a League Challenge yesterday. 15 players, 4 turns with no top cut, I brought Charizard-Pidgeot as usual. The first round was against a new player with a Roaring Moon ex deck. He didn't seem to have quite gotten the hang of sequencing yet and he was less aggressive than he could've been so it was an easy victory for me. Then I played against a Raging Bolt ex deck. He prized most of his Sada's in the first game and couldn't do much. The next one was more drawn out with myself drawing pretty poorly at first but I ended the match with a four prizes turn using Briar + Dusknoir. I lost the third round against a Charizard-Dragapult player. I was too trigger happy with my Dusknoirs and brought the opponent to two prizes. He obviously capitalized on that and won the first game. In the next game I was really close to winning with only one prize remaining but he managed to trap my Rotom V in the active zone while all of my energies were already attached to other mons and I had already used my Turo. That game ended in a tie when time runned out. I'm really bummed out about this match because it's not the first time I make the mistake of overusing my Dusknoirs and the match would've been totally winnable otherwise. The last round was against an Iron Leaves ex deck that made use of Cornerstone Ogerpon to stall. On paper this should've been unwinnable for me but the opponent didn't draw into the Ogerpon in the first game and in the next one I managed to play around it with Counter Catchers and Boss's Orders so I won nonetheless. Finished second place and got awarded with 4 regular packs and 3 prize ones. Only found a Miraidon ex from one of the prize packs and nothing else of interest.

cant wait for charizard to leave
>he still doesn't know how to deals with zard
>dealsNice try third worlder it's not because I can't beat charizard it's because I want them to print usable grass pokemon in the next 2 years.
>S
>grasslollmao, even
>>57152498I'm having fun with Dipplin though?
>dipplinnoob detected
A shame there isn’t a grass Pokémon that one shots charizard for 3 energy with built in energy acceleration that is featured in like 15% of decks right now.
It was never about charizard
>>57152593Don't you hate on my apple bro
forest doomed us all
>beating a stall pedo with 1 card left in my decktoo easy... kid...
>>57148424Was able to recover it and now migrated. I see they removed coins and it seems the trade function is gone. Tournaments appear to be gone as well.
>>57152766The entire point of them making PTCGL was to get rid of trading but they ended up getting rid off everything else the old client did better for a broken game with a shitty collection viewing system, no tournaments, and a halfway working expanded ladder
>>57152766hey at least you have your cardstrading was removed in favor of crafting, you can basically have every deck for free as long as you do dailies, instead of buying codes to trade packs for a single
>>57152780Didn't they remove the B/W cards? I remember in the migration process it mentioning their removal.>>57152776I had a lot of tickets from grinding ladders and they're gone.
>>57152785>B/W cardsfor now, but iirc they will release them eventually with better expanded and possibly unlimited. I only think they haven't done so as to not fuck up certain attacks or abilities as happened recently with some expansions breaking the game
>>57152821Can I just use my older decks (I see they're deleted) and play in expanded? Or are XY and SM decks just ridiculously outclassed nowadays?I loved some meme budget decks like the Vespiquen+Unown and Night March decks which had you using discarded cards to attack. What's the current equivalent to that or is everyone running Vmax cards or EX?
>>57152828you can import them if you had exported them from online (not sure if you could still do that at this point in time) but if not then check for lists online to easily import. >Or are XY and SM decks just ridiculously outclassed nowadays?Mostly attackers, as we can do ridiculous amounts of damage in one turn now. 'mons with abilities or effect on the other hand are still used as newer similar abilities are worse. There are plenty good combos with modern + "vintage" cards, especially using VStar powers and Ace Specs, so you might want to try building new stuff or check lists online
>>57152405NTA but how does one deal with it? I should've expected as much from anything with a ranked ladder but trying out Live for the literal first time getting roflstomped by those all night feels like it happens too fast for me to actually learn what its doing or how to feel out my own decks in doing so. I was farting around with the Gholdengo deck they give you since it seemed funny but if there's others that are more beginner friendly I'm all ears
>>57153169the best way to figure out how to beat a deck is to play it yourself. the pult decks typically have an easy time playing against zard. especially the pult/thorns list because most people who play zard don't understand how to play the deck properly. you can also just add in a couple tm devos and completely shut down zard after they've used up too many rare candies. countering zard mainly comes from exploiting your opponents mistakes since zard only has a couple bad match ups
Are there any resources for finding IRL events?
>>57153663the only resource I know for finding irl events is the event locator on the pokemon website.
If I wanted to get back into the TCG would I be better served just waiting till Gen 10 launches?
>>57154007nah we still got one regulation mark to go before gen 10, meaning at least 1 more year for the soonest cards to rotate out (after rotation this spring), and 2+ for the newer ones
>>57152604Still needs an energy on the prior turn or energy switch. There's no killing zard outta nowhere mons. Even iron leaves needs energy on board or the ace specLeafeon ex could've if they didn't gimp it to never ohkoing zard if they're not dumb enough to put 3 energy on board vs an eevee deck
>>57154523The second attack one hits it that shit does like 230 damage
>>57154793Then you need crispin or glass trumpet(+ existing tera on board) + switch out + evo There's no simple ways of hitting 170 as a grass type, all of them need a lot of prep and set up.
Considering making a Tinka deck, should I?
>>57154841It's a lot of fun, drawing cards like a madman is utterly satisfying.
>Make 4 different Cup top cuts>lose all of them 0-2>only one of them was "competitive">get steamrolled in the other onesPlaying in my area fucking sucks...
>>57137829Anyone have any experience with cube? I’ve put in a ton of time the last couple weeks building and printing one out. I have a group interested in playing, just need to show up with it
>>57154841it's fun but the decks pretty much dead after rotation with the loss of DTE. I imagine it would get reprinted eventually thoirl i wouldn't suggest it but online it's cheap enough, a lot of staples used anyway. arezu can be swapped for jaq if you wanted to use FA supporters
>>57151935Snorlax stall assuming its the variation with iron thorns.
Deck that runs the highest amount of cute girls for trainer cards?
>>57155677I think stallax and pidgeot control run the most because like 4 of their staple supporters are girls. the next one is probably terapagos since it usually runs a prof research(which can be a girl), iono, and briar.
Zero, so it died just like shaunberg's shitphone, kekekekekekehRemember that shaunberg, the kike from tel-aviv, tried to pretend he had an """iphone""" before, then a substandard (((prebuilt))) """desktop""", and now tries to pretend it was a Samsung. Like all his kind, he'll never be able to get his story straight, just like he tried lying about being from (((Stern))) despite his IQ and SAT score being far too low for anything above a shithole like CAS. Any time he pretends to be an American, therefore, is an outright fabrication from some yidsraeli who can barely speak English. He even has to wait until this hour to use some shitbox without permission, after supposedly """buying""" (stealing) some useless machine to post from. One can't help but notice how it's always the kike shills and their hired shitskins who support him, or his filthy jew family that buys shitphones for him and lets him reset their routers, or his fellow jews who let him beg them for freebies. One can't help but notice how it's always the kike shills and their hired shitskins who support him, or his filthy jew family that lets him reset their routers, or his fellow jews who let him beg them for freebies. He'll never be able to deny this because shaunberg, as a yid, has no spelling errors when typing in his native language, yiddish. Meanwhile, whenever he tries to type in English, so many typos abound. This alone is enough to out shaunstein as a filthy jew, who was kicked out of Nasser Yorat University and not New York as he tries to imply, and was rejected from the University of Tel-Aviv and not UTM. As a member of a (((tribe))) with a professional victim complex, shaunberg's only available instinct when punched by a single pajeet was to curl up and beg for mercy, then play the victim later, rather than fight back like a real man would.

>>57154921how hard does this lose to Iono? How well will this do after double turbo rotates?
>>57154523Good thing you can play 4 of them and you’re allowed (encouraged, even!) to use more than one of its ability per turn. Saying it needs some setup is like saying one of Charizard’s weaknesses is that you need to bench a Charmander. Like yes, technically it’s a weakness, but it’s the bare minimum effort you need to make.
>>57156537>how hard does this lose to Iono?1 or 2 shouldn't be a game over and if you add a mimikyu you can buy some time, the deck can easily draw over 8 cards but you also have to set up your board every turn.
>>57154921No Lacey?
>>57156537you can stockpile dudunsparce on bench if you're already hitting enough, plus fez. it's ok but hates judge decks toodouble turbo will kill it yes, you need to use the shitty xatu engine otherwise

Is it monetarily worth it to buy boosters to hang onto for selling online later after the next generation even though this is sort of scummy and on the verge of scalping? How much do people actually make from this? What are the logistics that make people do this? Is it better to do this or just sell single cards instead?
>>57158740From what i've noticed after about two months of kinda paying attention the common threads seem to be sets with a Pikachu, Charizard, or Umbreon of some variety and full art waifus. But I don't think anyone knows what the reprint situation will be like with the modern sets yet. iirc the current meme set 151 just recently got a reprint/restock but scalpers are ravenous
>>57158868So I'm guessing it's good for you if you can get on the scalping train but it's too volatile to predict if there's a good financial basis for it? Then why even scalp at all? Sounds like a lot of work and money for not even a guaranteed payday if the TCG want to do reprints
>>57158970It has a lot to do with covid lockdown and zoomer tubers knocking some screws loose and normies getting into the hobby mucking everything up. Its a fairly hot topic and cards have been getting slightly more desirable treatments for collectors [different holo effects, full arts, etc] feeding that same kinda fomo high people get from rolling in gachas I'd assume. So recently stuff's been selling out just cause its new and nobody knows if it'll get restocked, I can't find any surging sparks or twilight masquerade anywhere though for what its worth singles of the cards that see active play seem to be on the cheaper side compared to dickwipe holo variant eevee or waifu of the monthI won't pretend to know anything more than what i've read and watched about recently, most of my fave mons are gen 5+ shitmons but it is mega gay getting caught in the collateral of a set having a pikachu everyone's tripping over themselves for or something. I don't get it much either.
Testing out this no F cards decks. Any advice?
besides these generals, where else do you lurk to discuss and learn more about the game? also looking for any youtube channels, but most of those idiots seem to be more about opening old booster packs than actually playingI'm new and want to learn more
>>57159269My local game store is my best place to talk about Pokemon, but I also watch videos by top players and listen to their commentary as they play. Sometimes I also check out the Japanese side of the game through Twitter and Pokecabook.
>>57158549Wait, that's a girl?
>>57159269theres a decent amount people in the competitive scene that record their games in live or make commentary videos so you can typically find a video of a deck you want to learn how play by searching for it on youtube. or you can find a players socials in limitless after a tourney and go from there. for just TCG stuff in general Ive been watching a couple channels named ruby retro and burtsPTCG recently because they talk about old formats or historic events that happened in the game
>>57159246Seems standard enoughDecks are really gonna fall apart without rotom+lumineon+fss consistency. Jirachi/lele/lumineon always get reprinted anyway

>>57160772>>57160895>>57161020Please be gentle cause I'm new and this is my first time trying to make a deck, what do you think about this? >>57161309Hydrapple and Sinistcha work against each other. Hydrapple likes to keep energy on things whereas Sinistcha wants to discard it to attack. I'd recommend either using Hydrapple or a Sinistcha and Sinistcha ex combo.

>>57161453Seems okay. I suggest cutting 3 Dipplins for 3 Rare Candies though. You'd want to have Hydrapple active ASAP if you want to get big numbers, and waiting for 2 turns to evolve is just too slow.
>>57161453>As a christmas present for myself I bought 400 code cards, don't judge me...Hahahaha holy fuck, anon. No hate, that's just really funny. >This is why I just steal decks instead of trying to make my own.Nah that's fair. I still haven't got the hang of making my own decks from scratch. It does help to play a couple of games with your own decks to see what you're missing in practice though. This is the Hydrapple deck I use. It's far from perfect so don't feel you have to copy it 1-1, just use it as a reference. As >>57161464 said I'd highly recommend including Rare Candies. Also consider swapping the Dipplin out for the Stellar Crown version. It's not a straight upgrade, but it's very funny to bully basics with until you can get set up.
>>57161464>>57161483>Hahahaha holy fuck, anon. No hate, that's just really funny. hydrapple is gonna feel so good to play once radzard rotates. that's just an ultimate cheat condition vs you making it an unwinnable match up
I like to think I play better with my hydrapples than kiki ever would
>>57161639You say that but there's every chance that a 2025 set is going to include some other broken Zard. I'm surprised it didn't get a Stellar ex.
>>57161647At least that'll be a 2 prizer. Radzard was cheating as it ohko anything fire weak as a 1 prizer, unless you were 2 prizes off game you can't boss around it as it will claim another 2 prize from you. so it just ends up checkmating you instead The next zard card is probably mega zard. Who knows how they'll do megas, I'd imagine it's big basics again because of stage 2s like charizard would need to evolve 3 times like breaks were otherwise
dragon stellar zard will count as fire type since radzard will be gone
>>57161639its going to be nice overall to revist decks after rotation. I feel like theres obvious stuff you're going to have to work around like budew and pult because they seem to be the next popular cards but it still sounds fun to tinker with old decks again
