This might kill Mewtwo, because Mewtwo already struggles heavily against the current inefficient Dark decks. At the same time though, Gyarados struggles against Hitmonlee and it still exists. And then Steel is going to get an EX that is busted, which means Fire is going to get a buff due to the meta relevancy of its super effective typing, and Fire is already pretty decent but maybe a bit walled due to the prevalence of Misty and Gyarados. And this will kinda hurt Grass, since I can't really see a future where the next expansion gives Grass a significant buff if it already got Celebi and Serperior in MI. Maybe it gets a really good partner for Exeggutor EX? Because I still think that Exeggutor EX is one of the better cards in the game but that it doesn't have a perfect home deck yet. And then I would hope Fighting gets a buff, because I think it needs one, but it might not get a buff. If it does get a buff, that probably kills Pikachu a bit, unless the new set gives the Pikachu deck better tools, because Zapdos and Pika EX are, in my opinion, already startng to feel the beginning effects of powercreep. Just rambling. Anyway, I think that as long as the new expansion does not restrict the use of the previous expansion's cards, I think the meta will once again become healthier and more robust, in the form of Pokemon-esque checks and balances to existing decks. Every deck will have a meta R-P-S "counter"

I'm curious by the time trading is implemented if the forced Mewtwo pack on new accounts affects the relative value of its cards compared to the Pikachu/Charizard packs. Even if you're running a bot/doing rerolls on the Mew pack every account you make is putting more of the Mewtwo pack cards into wonder pick for others to grab.
