I know it's small but them doing shit like using Burn Heals and outright acknowledging that Fire/Dragon is a tougher type to hit Super-Effectively then pure Fire really makes me glad. The by-and-large blatant ignoring of type matchups (outside of immunities, and even that was inconsistent) was pretty much just chalked up to it being an anime but I've always held the opinion that adding more of the game's elements would enhance the anime's free reign to showcase how Pokémon would actually move around the battlefield during combat, not hinder it.

NTA, I flew over the area and of course it's not 1:1 (nor I expected it to, it would be amazing if they reproduced the exact map). However I noticed some similarities which is neat.

Another nice detail is that the satellite dish is one of the highest spots of Area Zero and they had to climb to reach it, same as the game.

But the coolest detail is that the satellite dish next to the river is the exact the spot where Gouging Fire appears in the game
