We got an ominous ass notice that week basically saying "stop talking about that thing that didn't happen". By next week a couple guys got transferred out, and in the months following a couple dozen people had been transferred out pretty suddenly. My contract was finishing in a year with an option for 2 more years which I was planning to take if I didn't find private work, but in January of 2021 I got an offer to transfer to 5 Wing Goose Bay, an AFB in Eastern Canada, which came with a pay-increase, which I accepted.
