I find it also hits harder and harder each time you watch it, I probably watched it first over 10 years ago now so I get nostaligic watching it which compounds with the own nostalgia in the show, I can often just put on a random episode sink into bed and fall asleep. It, NNB, and Sketchbook are my comfy anime. I would say Hidamari too, but Hidamari is more character focused I need a comfy world to sink into to really let enjoy the escapism. Also YKK manga is better than all of them.
