Ch. 61
Does the Terror visiting her come from the Other Side or simply the inner recesses of her own mind?
Ch. 62
>>283347445I'm inclined to think the latter. She'd been hearing the peak a boo her whole life. And she only saw her mother after learning that she was dead, despite that knowledge certainly being delayed from the actual event. Also, mental illness is often heritable.
Wait, where's the cute JK late for school with toast in her mouth?
So did you get the feeling this wasn't one of Yuma's regular stories?
Ch. 63
>>283347838I've read it before, but had forgotten this. But I did think it seemed more like one of hers. I figured he might have been telling one like hers out of guilt. Which I guess is sort of true.
>>283347516There's hope for Hina? If only I could believe it.
Ch. 64
Ura Baito vibes.
>>283347838It definitely felt like a Hina story, and here we got the confirmation.Interesting how it's easy to tell.
>>283348217This totally doesn't mirror any of Yuuma's fantasies
>>283348356>It definitely felt like a Hina story, and here we got the confirmation.Interesting how it's easy to tell.Subtle yet strong characterization, and the varied mix of tonality to the stories that aren't just shock page after shock page keeps things fresh and captivating IMO.
Hey OP, I'm catching up. Could you repost the catbox from volume 2? >>283224760
THAT'S FUCKING CHEATING YOU DAMN SHIT SPECTER!
>>283348436The biggest one being having a dad that cares even that much about him.
>>283348557>Hey OP, I'm catching up. Could you repost the catbox from volume 2? >>283224760(Cross-thread)https://files.catbox.moe/ps2jwh.pngI'll zip a batch archive at the end.
Ch. 65
>>283348557>>283348682https://files.catbox.moe/h2tfl6.gifAnimated ver.
>>283348286Normally his dad beats/rapes him on Friday nights. But this is him waking up on Friday and it looks like it already happened.
Uh...
>>283348990Man, that's no Hina story
>>283349002Definitely no Hina story.
>>283349002Right on brand for Yuuma, though.
>Yuuma, you and your big mouth...
Ch. 66
>>283347744You can definitely climb over that.
>>283349041Steven...
Superb use of hatched shading in this one.
This bitch...
Ch. 67
>>283349353Well someone's not winning mother of the year.
>>283349126Straight up would not have ended that badly if the kid had simply been chosen by Lord Oita.
>>283349435LMAO
>>283349522Know I wonder how common it is for exorcists to worry about getting exorcised after they die.
>>283349547>Know I wonder how common it is for exorcists to worry about getting exorcised after they die.Especially if exorcisms worked liked they did in Ch. 29 >>283249893
>>283349663Woman moment.
!?
Ch. 68
>>283347516>bruises are going awayI'm too scared to hope, boss
>>283347808That's nice
>>283349742blood chilling story right from the first panel
A+
>>283348570lol classicthe supernatural rarely plays fair
Ch. 69 (heh)
>>283350076Nice.
>>283350196Reminds me of the taira crabs.
>>283350241Can that type of turtle even survive in the sea?
The Mother finally transitions from addressing the turtle as Goro (the animal) to Gorou (her son) here >>283350228
Ch. 70
>>283350302This is touching. Poor mom, poor kid.
>>283350302He's smiling. With both mouths even. So I will take those as tears of joy. Does this count as a happy ending?
>>283349715Makes sense
>>283350356>This is touching. Poor mom, poor kid.>>283350357>He's smiling. With both mouths even. So I will take those as tears of joy. Does this count as a happy ending?I'll take it.
Dust is made of mostly dead skin cells as we learned in >>283247218 so it makes sense for it to accumulate in >>283350403 where he sleeps. There was also only one toothbrush in the cup in >>283350430
>>283350502>>283350515Oh, fucking nasty
>>283350328>>283350345Looks like the detective is interested in who(what?) is watching Yuma's stories
>>283350542Detective has an unusual eye
On this note, we've come to the end of volume 7 and we'll continue on with volume 8 tomorrow (5-6 PM CST). Hope you enjoyed.
>>283350589That spread fastThanks anon
>>283350589Spirit Detective?
>>283350589>janny's first day
Still on Volume 3, but Hasshaku-sama was very cute. Shame they cut it before the R-18 scenes.I'm enjoying it. The stories are quite varied and don't feel samey at all. It also knows not to go hard on shock factor all the time.
>>283350612>That spread fast>Thanks anonNP, I imagine Yuuma's continuous months of stories have accumulated power in the ritual so it's effects are now a lot stronger.>>283350613>Spirit Detective? If he can fire energy shots with his index finger then we'll know for certain.
>>283347445>Another mom-related trauma ghost story by the mc:(
>>283348217People shit on living in a dream world too much. Like in the matrix movie or having a rusian/chinese spy wife. Glad to see someone who just chooses the easy path for once
>>283348649kek what a cunt
>>283347325Are walls topped with barbed wire normal for Japanese orphanages?
>>283348990wait, that was the whole story? holy shit that made it way darker for some reason. I expected some stuff like the mom stealing one can or something
>>283350822I think he knows it isn't going to last. Either he's going to die or recover enough to wake up and have to face the horror of his reality. So he's cherishing the time he has left with his family before then.
>>283350677>Still on Volume 3, but Hasshaku-sama was very cute. Shame they cut it before the R-18 scenes.>I'm enjoying it. The stories are quite varied and don't feel samey at all. It also knows not to go hard on shock factor all the time.Great, happy you've found and liking the series thus far.>>283350822>People shit on living in a dream world too much. Like in the matrix movie or having a rusian/chinese spy wife. Glad to see someone who just chooses the easy path for oncePerception is reality. You cannot change many of the physical conditions of the world around you, but in a dream you can change what it is you experience. So why not pick the most comfortable option especially when you consider the alternative in the story. There's also nothing firm in the story that precludes the final "Good' Ending from being the "True" real/waking one with the others being dreams, or maybe in his comatose sleep the father is able to live in a dreamlike life with the spirits of his dead family.>>283350952Realy are lots of ways to interpret that one.
>>283273639
>>283350531Reminds me of the irl case of the guy who lived behind the wall belonging to two teenage girls
>>283349700> had to call the only guy in the police department with a sharinganShit got real
>>283351034Lä mpThat's really cool. Part of wishes this would get an anime, and the other part of me knows that it would most likely end up like the Junji Ito adaptions with limited budget.
>>283350893I would guess it's more to keep people out than the kids in
>>283351187I was just wondering how well an anime adaptation would work. More than the limited budget, I think it would be hard to pace. Being broken up into 100 short stories works well for a manga. But it would be awkward for an anime. The best I can think of would be doing two per episode. But that would probably end up with some stories that are supposed to end suspensefully getting resolved immediately while the cliffhangers go to ones that don't benefit from it.
>>283350613Ghost Fixer?Grey Worker?Landlord?Dark Gatherer?Occult Journalist?
>>283350531So is he dead or a stalker?
>>283351959I don't think the dead have to worry about cavities or eat instant ramen.
>>283347477I think this story was expressing Yuuma's feelings towards his real mother and that, after seeing what happened to Takayanagi and now Hina he's starting to fear her.
>>283348682>>283348822>this is Yuuma's idea of a power fantasyThis is so fucked.
>>28334831620,000 yen and hour? Isn't that like $200? Bro os about to get his organs harvested.
I have some questions for everyone who have also finished the manga already:Why did Yuuma's mom (or at least the spirit that claimed to be Yuuma's mom) possess Hina instead of the step-mom? Is it really just because Hina touched the mom's picture? Why did the other two guys die just from doing the same thing?
>>283353252>20,000 yen and hour? Isn't that like $200? Bro os about to get his organs harvested.Think of it as Hazard Pay.>>283353400I would recommend waiting to discuss later points of the manga until as we get to them. You'll generate better replies that way.
>>283353400She actually possesses Hina before she touches the picture. The bruises and illness are from touching it, but I have a theory that possession is facilitated by telling a ghost story. The mom possessed Umakin and Hina and was able to yoink the police officer out the window. All of them told a story. Meanwhile she didn't seem to have any direct control over the dad or stepmom. But even if she could have possessed the stepmom, I don't think she would have. She wouldn't have wanted to take on a form that Yuuma despised. She'd also already done considerable damage to that vessel. And I think she was jealous. She didn't want Yuuma to have anyone but her.
>>283351187Yeah, that's a monkey paw wish sadly.
bump for readers
>>283351804Landlady would even handle the mundane problems. She has no patience for family strife.
>>283351804
I'm finally caught up. I partucularly liked this one >>283347808 from this volume because it's a nice contrast to the teketeke story from an earlier volume where the woman had arms for legs.
>>283349315oooh i get it now.Leave/Live lol. why cant he leave in the first place?
>>283347516I just noticed that he doesn't change clothing now. Did his parents take away his clothes, too?
>>283359650He still changes >>283347889. But he does go days wearing the same thing now. He isn't going to school anymore, so both he and his parents have less reason to even pretend things are normal or OK.
>>283347808Normally, these stories don't get me in the feels, but this one is really gut wrenching, especially how the severed man bows to the protagonist, at the end ;~;
Does anyone remember which chapter had the boy who ran errands and lost his head? I'm trying to find it but there are so many stories.
>>283349069>>283349315The foreshadowing here is so good!!
>>283349435xD
>>283349815LOL
>>283360680Chapter 58
>>283350302I'm really glad that this one had a happy ending.
>>283350531Gross...
>>283350542This guy seems like a main character, already>ghost sensing powers>touching it (without being hurt?)>cool eye
>>283350589
>>283361459Touching it did affect him. He just had that talisman thing to get rid of it.
>>283361186Thanks!
The manga makes me think about the Yomawari series. I hope we get a 4th one.
>>283363661That would be nice.
>>283361459Yeah I expected him to have a bigger role.
>>283365890Oh well.
>>283361343At least some of them do.
