Jimmy Pesto is a fraud and so are all his "fanboys" that pop up to defend Jay Johnston's actions and I think lesser of Lauren Bouchard for downplaying it as long as he had.
SPOILERS Judy dies here. It's the only thing that makes it all make sense. Her being so careless with Nick, the carrot recorder breaking like it does, everything working out so well but awkwardly, the feather falling next to the fixed recorder etc. You see at the start how committed he can be at pretending but he's used to doing it to trick other people not trick himself so that's why it comes out so sloppy. It's possible she dies before this in that really bad crash into the statue.

Having Judy ignore and abandon Nick is such a legendary fumble after a decade of waiting for this movie. I know Disney loves it's female biased girl power slop but this seems excessive even for them.

The story tries to present the protagonist as aloof and cool but it just feels like a total cliche of a femme fatale.I really feel like the french comic scene is stuck with a lot of very bland "cool" protagonists.Like this comic feels like a downgrade of Ghost in the Shell because the writer doesn't understand what made it work.
