Heads up; expect it to be announced later this week and for hell to break loose at DC Absolute Batman Annual #1 is going to be pulled from release schedule, possibly indefinitely, due to Daniel Warren Johnson being caught selling artwork sketches of Absolute Batman murdering an ICE agent. As a result of this, Daniel Warren Johnson is now officially blackballed from DC Comics. DC is moving FAST and is pretty much pissing their pants about how to they intend to break the story of the cancellation, as this combined with the Red Hood debacle, is a PR nightmare of epic proportions for the company. Scott Snyder tried to go to bat for Johnson but was told to STFU by DC editorial. Jim Lee is super fucking pissed and pretty much doing his best to try and come up with a way to make sure the story doesn't become a huge deal ala the Red Hood debacle. But I fucking hate Jim Lee and his toxic leadership and so I'm going here to spill the tea and hopefully create a firestorm that gets the faggot fired for letting monster woke shitheads run rampant in the company. There was talk about making Snyder put together an illustrated "recap" story using artwork from the first 13 issues of Absolute Batman to replace Johnson's story. Possibly framed as a journal written out by Alfred in the style of the old Marvel Saga history recap comics. But Snyder doesn't want to do it, leading to DC threatening to have an intern do it instead since DC wants to try and salvage the annual. Basically Johnson's fucked and he'll never work at DC again. The Annual hasn't gone to print just yet but even if they delay the issue to remove Johnson's story with the recap, there will be a several week delay in getting it out with the recap story in it's place of the Johnson story. And that's IF corporate even lets it see the light of day as far as corporate potentially ordering the entire issue scrapped if it hits the right wing news media cycle.
