I know people like to clown on Verbalase for this, but I've got to give him credit for actually spending a reasonable amount of money on his commission as opposed to saying he'd pay the animator(s) in exposure.

>>152169207How much do tou think music videos cost?
>>152165318The price tag coupled with the content. A lot of people also assume it's meant to be pornographic so they judge how much of his money's worth he got based on that alone, saying he should have gotten something more explicit with the money. I believe him when he says it was meant for public release. It's far too tame and far too expensive to just be a file in his spank bank. People rightfully think it doesn't make sense to pay that much for porn that tame, but the alternative that actually makes sense, that it was never meant to be porn and was at some point meant to be monetized, isn't as entertaining, so they stuck with the porn story because it not making sense only makes it funnier. At the end of the day, though, it boils down to an expensive, cringy video. The timing also helped, being released around the Hazbin premiere.

So who was "Olivia Jaimes," the pseudonymous webcomics artist who revitalized Nancy from 2018–2025? Got any inside scoops or good theories? Some people must know by now
>>152169131says you
>>152169131So is she
>>152170836who? Nancy or Caroline Cash?
Maybe it's because I've been a hermit for quite a few years but seeing a Nancy thread on here is quite the welcome surprisePersonally I'm thinking it might be an artist who might have expertise on different fields (i.e. those webcomic cat artists) because I recall Jaimes drawing a squirrel with a level of ostensibly simple detail that I immediately knew whoever made it was at least one of those "doggo" artists trying to mask their styleNot the first time there's been a mystery artist who smurfed and then fucked off. There's also MisterDavey / MisterDavie, who I'm still not sure who he actually was(by the way am I just retarded or did the captchas get much worse while I was away? The four shapes one doesn't seem to work half of the time)
>>152168790>I dont buy this, because some people have actually spoken to her and I dont think they'd go as far as having a fake person to play the part of a psudonym.Spoke in what way? People simply saying they did isn't proof of anything if the whole point is to kayfabe people that Olivia Jaimes is a real person. Do you believe that Sushi-X was an actual person too?

>>152164582thanks anon, good job.
I'll start off. I actually like Ultimate FF. And I prefer the dynamic to the mainline book. I recognise that the stories themselves aren't better, but I think the core setup of a bunch of young adult supergeniuses with superpowers going on weird science adventures works for me far more than the kitschy sitcom family setup of the mainline F4. Especially with things like Franklin muddying the waters. Ultimate FF made everyone an expert in some field and had this feeling of basically being a modernised Star Trek starring people with superpowers. Again, the stories themselves cannot measure up to the classic main FF runs, but as a basis, the concept itself, I vastly prefer it. There was more excitement. They were younger, hotter, cooler. I could easily buy them as celebs. They were young enough to be unpredictable, but old enough to not be annoying teen geniuses. The book was essentially a cross between Star Trek, X-Files and dunno, something like Stargate. There was a playful element to it that you just can't have when you're dealing with a middle aged family. So yeah. I actually like Ultimate FF and think with some reworking the core concept works better than the mainline version. That's my extremely /co/ntroversial take. And Hell, I like Doom being a descendant of Dracula more than him being some random gyppo. The goat legs and mutation suck, but the backstory was a great update. I don't know, I think generally UltFF had all the right ingredients, but fucked up in the actual execution.
>>152170763Is that Galactus also responsible for giving the Fantastic Four their powers?
>>152170894It's been a hot while since I read it but I think so. Pretty much everything from Atlantis to the Moleoids and Inhumans had some connection to the Big G.
>>152170943Yeah something like that since Reed's ship was trying to make contact with the Silver Surfer right before the accident that gave them their powers. Reed figured out that the same signal he was receiving in space was the same symbol Mole Man, the Skrulls and Inhumans used to worship Galactus as a god or something like that.

>>152155926Zim is a good example of soul you can say. its not very derivative of anything too much. so it feels very original. there are things that came after Zim which were derivative of Zim that obviously were not as unique.
>>152156562I also love the world building in this show.
>>152159997>Bad eyebrows.>Looks like a whiny bitch>Bad "cut-in" mouth.>Looks like a whiny bitchJesus Christ, this guy hit the nail on the head predicting future shows character designs.
>>152155926There was nothing else like it, and there still isn't or hasn't been even 25 years later. This show was a god send for "weird" kids, i.e. kids that liked horror movies and books.
Storyboards intended for the NostalgiaCon table read:https://www.guymooreanimation.com/portfolio-collections/collection_0f809c/gknd-nostalgia-con>For his first convention appearance at Nostalgia Con in Houston in 2025, Tom Warburton, creator of the television series Codename: Kids Next Door, decided to do a live table read with four of the original series' main voice actors, performing a new script for "Galactic Kids Next Door"-- his take on what might have happened to the kids of Sector V in the time following the end of the original series. As he did for the original GKND stealth social media campaign (discussed elsewhere on this site), he tapped me to create all the art for it, again in secret. There wasn't enough time to make a full animatic, but the idea was that I would capture certain key moments and visual gags, and that this media would be displayed on a big screen for the audience during the panel, either by itself as a backdrop, or with the voice actors narrating it, as appropriate.>Unfortunately, the Nostalgia con turned out to not only lack a big screen, but any screen at all... so the panel performed the table read by themselves, and none of the art or animation was shown. That's show biz, I guess.
>>152170682did at least one person record the table read? I wanna put this together into a video
When will CN actually reboot this? When the AT and RS reboots are successful?
>>152172289>AT rebootYou don't need to reboot AT. AT hasn't stopped.>original run from 2010 - 2018>Distant Lands from 2020 - 2021>Fionna and Cake in 2023 and 2025>a comic runs and graphic novels from 2012 - 2019 and restarting in 2025>two more spinoff shows on the way>movie was dropped in the late 2010s and picked back up in 2024
I still don't like it or understand why the creator thinks this is such a good idea. It kinda goes against the whole appeal of the kids next door. They may fight crime and have sci-fi gadgets, but they are still average kids at the end of the day.
>>152172219Yeah, it’s out there. I think it’s in the archives.
