After 25 years, Spongebob, which used to be one of if not the biggest IPs of the 2000s, is now bombing hard. Spongebob has not stood the test of time and confirmed itself as a Gen Z only phenomena. It is now a legacy IP whose relevance will continue to decline hard until it is like Hanna-Barbera characters who followed the same trend as it. As Gen Z grows away from it everyone else will know it exists but that is the extent of knowledge they have for the IP. That is its legacy, a flash in the pan.

What are your thoughts on Batman Beyond and by extension Terry Mcginnis?
I was re-watching some episodes of The New Batman Adventures and then Batman Beyond and I got thinking this: TNBA is not a good sequel to the original BTAS (weird character inconsistencies like how Mr. Freeze and Scarecrow are depicted) but if you watch it as a prequel to Batman Beyond it fits with that show a lot better.

I like that his costume is a combination of Batman’s and Nightwing’s. I like that under the suit he has the thin frame and hair of a Robin. Almost like the show knows they’ll never be a true Bruce replacement, so the best we can hope for is a Robin like protege taking over the mantle.
