Werebeast thread
>>152107330Also I didn't mention it because I was tired of writing it out but I think being a ghoul gave Harry access to basic level Domination, which he used on Grimal to get her to "stop Occam". Problem is, Harry probably phrased it exactly like that and isn't used to using Dominate, let alone using it on someone like Grimal - where he likely meant for Grimal to just knock over the blood chalices or even just knock Occam out, such a broad command was interpreted as "go in and kill Occam". As for why he chose Grimal, it's easy: Harry knows Grimal travels through the air ducts, so she is the best choice for sneaking into the Archives undetected.

Let us go over this rather stupid storyline.Remember, it's Becky's fault that she feels hurt and betrayed by her best friend telling her she's not gay then turning around and clam slamming another chick and rubbing it in everyone's faces including Becky's. Also that Becky's girlriend is a fucking autist who told her that it's her fault.Willis, because he is a bad writer, has actually made me feel bad for Becko except I think he intends for you to think that she is, actually, the problem and overreacting and needs to be the one to apologize to everyone despite not doing anything wrong.
>>152107557This was such awkward dialog from Joyce in that panel.
>Becky actually is going to have to go crawling back to Dina and Joyce as if she was the one in the wrongThis is going to be Funky apologizing to Les all over again. Just draw Joyce with that same smug or pouty look.
>>152108380Can't wait for dina to hold this over Becky's head for years even after they make up

Scooby Doo is a long franchise created by Hanna-Barbera in the 1960's, and it’s wild to think how many different forms it’s taken over the decades. From the original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! with its classic monster-of-the-week formula, to the more comedic takes like A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, and even the darker, more serialized Mystery Incorporated, the gang has been reimagined countless times. We’ve had direct-to-video movies like Zombie Island and Witch’s Ghost that pushed the franchise into more supernatural territory, live-action adaptations in the early 2000s, and even crossover specials with Batman, WWE, and more. Each era has its own flavor, whether it’s campy, spooky, or tongue-in-cheek.So, /co/, what’s your favorite Scooby-Doo Character and which guest character suited the gang best?Previous Thread: >>151937486Scooby-Dooby-Doo!
>>152103437brainy doesn't mean crafty her brains are most used for deduction and clue gathering and she is really good at that usually being the one that puts everything together before the gang starts making a trap

When do you stop reading Marvel? Don't be snarky. Genuinely at what points altogether or even just for specific characters do you stop reading them? Just be Disassembled happens? Before the Marvel NOW! relaunch? Is there anything else beyond these stories listed here that are actually worth reading in the modern era? Did Bendis ruin everything for you too? I really wanna have thoughts shared about this because I got no one to discuss this stuff with. But there seems to be this active disdain for just saying there should be cutoffs at all. Shockingly, comics eventually get bad by a certain era. And it's no longer worth reading them.
>>152108603This has the guy's cutoff points:https://originalmarveluniverse.blogspot.com/2009/06/omu-end.htmlLike for instance X-Men ends with Claremont's final issue in 1991, Fantastic Four ends with the conclusion of Simonson's run. There are things I disagree with but get the logic of why he set cutoffs when he did, like he doesn't consider Infinity Gauntlet canon to his Original Marvel Universe setup
>>152108673He may be a bit premature but at least some of those are like the high points so not entirely unfair.
i think hickmans avengers run was a good final ending for marvel universe
Iirc doesn’t the onslaught stuff mean they went too far?I mean it seems like >>152108427, and >>152108330, >>152108393 put it really did seem like everyone just become jerks and something not like the real heroes that they were.Especially with creations like Deadpool and mentioned onslaught, WE REALLY HIT the bottom of the pit at the rest of the 90s and 2000s
>>152108216>But there seems to be this active disdain for just saying there should be cutoffs at all.I think the disdain is coming from people who like the 00s/10s stuff or people from Marvel fearful of the newer audience quickly realizing how much shit was pumped out during those decades

These are uncertain times for the United Kingdom. With so much strife caused by economic downturn, mass migration, class stratification, and people being annoying on twitter, youths are being exposed to extremist ideologies constantly. How do we keep them on the straight and narrow and show them the dangers of radicalization? With a choose-your-own-adventure game of course!
>>152108224Top effort.>>152108274Unironically isn't the two of them being together and having a family more conducive to their fears about white replacement?

Why do people pretend that The Batman wasn't terrible?
Gordon and Batman's relationship in this movie makes no fucking sense. Traditionally in the comics (Year One, etc) and in shit like Batman Begins, Gordon and Batman are working together because the GCPD is so corrupt, Gordon has no one else to trust. So I went into this movie assuming that would be the case and they just wouldn't cover why they're working together since this is Year 2/3 or whatever. But then during the events of the movie, Gordon finds out the commissioner is on the take from Falcone, so if he's just finding this out NOW, then why the fuck is he even working with Batman in this version? And why are you not explaining that if it completely contradicts basic audience knowledge? The real answer is Reeves is retarded, doesn't care, and hopes the audience doesn't notice.
>>152108617too much batslop has the issue where things are left unexplained because the producers think it doesn't need to be for some reason or other. we're meant to just assume gordon has a legitimate reason here even when we're not presented with one.nolan at least had the sense to understand that batman movies are still movies and need to be self-contained stories
>>152108617While I didn't mind Gordon and Batman as a cop team in the movie, their whole rapport and relationship is just a blatant copy of Somerset and Mills in Seven, and that includes everything else. Down to Riddler being John Doe both in goals, the murders, and wanting to get caught, the general skeezy look of the movie just ripping off Fincher's visual style, it doesn't have a single original bone in its body, and that's the movie's fatal flaw.
>>152094243it wasnt terrible but from the concept alone it just wasnt a original take with its own personality>what if Batman BUT REALISTIC>''didnt we already have a entire trilogy of Nolan movies that did this?''>NO MINE IS MORE REALISTIC AND EDGIERBatman in its essence is a mythological character where the absurd and supernatural just is part of its DNA, Nolans take was fine but Hollywood wants to pretend its the only relevant take
>>152094243It's alright, I don't like how long it is, but I like a lot of the scenes and the central themes.I unironically prefer it as a Batman adaptation compared to the others, mainly Nolan's. Enjoyable movies, but what the fuck was that Chicago ass Gotham, Ra's being Liam Neeson, jonkler and two face were ok, but I don't give a fuck about Rachel, dear fucking christ, and lastly Bane...
