Expectations so far?
>>151923939X-men movie with full roster plus Magic and X-23. With Iron-man vs Dr. Doom. Tony vs Tony.
>>151929573As a marketing tactic, nostalgia is very effective. But it usually has to be very blatant in the promotional material. If they sold The Marvels as co-starring the FoX-Men, more people probably would've given it a watch. Likewise, if they had some action scenes with Chris Evans in the Cap 4 trailers, people might've been excited. But few people will go watch a movie because word-of-mouth says there's a nifty after-credits scene, just like few are so attached to the Captain America brand that they'll watch it no matter who carries the shield.
>>151923939They tried the cultural replacement girlboss route. They can't go back in my eyes.
>>151923939I am expecting them to ruin The Void at The End of Time. My wishes are that it is left untouched by Doomsday and Secret Wars so it can remain the rotting dumpster of despair it is
>>151929765Again, I'm talking more about the practices they took when making up the multiverse saga, which supposedly they're already been trying to leave behind these last two years.

>>151902613I used to write supremely autistic crossover fiction as a teen. Like, jam all my favorite characters into one fic; flip a coin if I was the main character or not. I remember one fic I did where Lord Shen from Kung Fu Panda 2 fucking teamed up with Michael Myers from the Halloween movies, and that's one of the less shitty things I wrote then. It's one of the few times I'm glad my parents kept me from having internet accounts until I was eighteen or so because good Gods.I even once wrote a story about a girl in my class that I liked and I having sex when I was fourteen. I destroyed literally all my old works before I moved out.
>>151909232>>151931411not nearly as weird as solidmario's obsession with bart's dick.
>>151902613>>151931611Reminds me of when I was around 10-12 and had stories with my Lego sets that crossed over between just about every single video game I had played in that age range. There was Star Fox 64, Final Fantasy 7, Resident Evil, Mega Man X, Command & Conquer: Red Alert, Pokemon, Dragon Ball Z, Gundam, and probably a few more things that I don't remember any more. I had shit like Tanya Adams being a Pokemon trainer who also could fly an Arwing and use Kaio-Ken. It was all just improvised as I played, adding more and more things as I consumed more media. It quickly got out of control.Later on, once the internet became more commonplace, I ended up starting another story that mostly centered around the Sonic universe and my recolor OC Donut Steel. In the second chapter I started crossing over with a bunch of things again, but by this point I was becoming more aware of the sorts of things that get mocked in fan works, so I walked it back to where it was only crossing over with Metroid (Prime at first, then the 2D games later) instead. This was in the era where everyone and their mother was making their own sprite comic. The story was my big plan to make my own comic, but I never actually got any of the ideas out of my head and into a readable format.

What's is your honest opinion on the Eight and Final Season of Regular Show? Like the whole park crew (Plus Ellie) being send off to space I like most didn't mind at first, until the remaining half of the season became a Universal Survival Arc and it was revealed that Pops was a God who is prophesize to fight his cliche evil twin brother (who spend half of the arc doing nothing but giving negative reviews to restaurants) to prevent the destruction of the universe which only resulted in the universe being reset every time. I think when all of that happened is when the show felt off for some people. Also what was the point of Ellie joining the cast again? She didn't do anything of much important during the season she was just there.
>>151926643sick-ass promo art
>>151926643I'll always have beef with Regular Show's last season because it cheated us out of having a lengthy multi-episode arc where Mordo & Rigs finally get their shit together and start building their lives and careers beyond the Park. Sending everybody to space also removed the show's grounded setting, so S8 was practically a different show entirely
>>151926894Ghosts exist in this universe, so death means nothing. Muscle Man's dad shouldn't have come back.

Disgraced former X-Men ’97 showrunner Beau DeMayo demands credit for making Cyclops popular enough to get a major role in Avengers: Doomsday.
>>151928731X-Men '97 is unironically the most overrated show of the last decade. It has plenty of aspects that could have been good, but the pacing is so utterly terrible that those good aspects only make the way it turned out more disappointing. It should have been a lot better than it was, and it's baffling that it doesn't get a lot more criticism.
>>151926221>Disgraced Lol no one even remembers this guy or the controversy attached, it's been long enough
>>151926221>DisgracedDafuq?I mean, I'm not a fan of 97' because of their shitty approach to animation, (attempting to recreate the old cartoon animation and IMO failing at it instead of using a modern approach with the old art style. Just my opinion.)The story is fine, I liked it.
>>151926221Still seething
>>151926221> Cyclops is so popular that he never had a series. Despite leading the X-Men, he never had any solo adventures. It was always other characters.> Every Cyclops son led a solo run, some with record-breaking titles like Cable.Cyclops is only liked by hardcore fans; not even MVC helped him.
Once again we come to the end, and what could be more fitting than doing it on the Day of the Lord?Serenity 9: Choosing Change

>>151930180Burgerland does have some mental Jack Chick type anti-Catholic evangelicals who seem to think the wars of religion are ongoing like it's still the fucking 16th Century, but by and large I don't think most Catholics and Protestants hate each other any more. They're more likely to see each other as just slightly misguided fellow Christians these days.

>>151925882Oh my God, this is so shit.
>>151925882looks like shit
>>151925882Cool to see they at one point tried something entirely new, but... I don't think this would've been very successful.
Dora was like Nick learned all the wrong lessons from Blue’s Clues. They knew they had a winner with the “interactive show” format but failed to realize that the reason Blue was beloved was because that show was quiet and treated kids with some amount of respect. Dora was yet another loud and obnoxious “get up and sing/scream” show meant to sell merch rather than actually teach anything or provide parents with a peaceful show to watch with their kid.

Good morning, grandpa. It's that liminal period between Christmas and New Years when no one wants to do anything, yet somehow, the paper still gets delivered. Enjoy the comics.
