I just know Daxamites hate aliens and that The Sinestro Corps helped reinforce those beliefs after their brief conquest of Daxam.

He's a fucking plumber. His superpower is that he owns steel toe workboots. He's just not that interesting and any script writer will instinctively want to downplay him in favor of the much more visually and thematically interesting characters. At least Wario can be comedic and is a mix of Dirk Dastardly and Peg Leg Pete, while also being a tough guy that can get into brawls.

When he needed to be a Popeye/Joe Pesci type of guy that marches face first into a fight any time there is a fight to stomp into. He needed to be that little bulldog type that will absolutely pick a fight with the guy 5 times his size and possibly win.
