In this kind of world, Metro Man will be like a final cruel joke. One last Golden Age hero seeming to usher in a second wave, only to die horribly. Sealing the Earth’s fate to be a world of mediocrity and corruption.

>>151792823It's pretty good imagery. The wolf pelt is a facade, and like all facades are built on a false idea of things. It's "menacing" in the way we typically expect menace. The real wolf, the reality, the one that can hurt you, doesn't look determined or fierce. It looks as jubilant as it does unhinged, it just wants to hurt you and it's so excited to do so. No curling of the brow because the predator wants to see its prey in its entirety to make sure the prey can't evade or run away. Its teeth aren't bared in a sneer with curled lips but instead simply its jaw hanging open for respiration, because it doesn't need to intimidate its victim, it just needs to build up the energy for the chase.
