Wally fell in love with Gus physically, his attraction is absolutely a part of the equasion, but again not on an abnormally focused way. Wally or Gus are not walking "I'm here and I'm queer" signs, they are respectful people and members of their community who have identities and sensibilities beyond sexuality.

It's not just the anime/vidya hommages, the biggest reason I was such a SU for a long time was because I adored the artistic showmanship of the cartoon visually and with the writing. Laser Light Cannon is a fucking beautiful episode, and the one with Amethyst obsessing over the good times with Gregg over a TV show they'd watch in the storage unit had no right to be as much an emotional roller coaster as it was. I struggle to see the like 4-5 episodes where Ruby and Sapphire deal with getting over the pain of being gemraped by Pearl as not possesing that mature undertone being argued, perhaps it's the modern day Tom and Jerry way of appeasing both crowds, but at the same time I wouldn't show someone that or Adventure Time with Simon and Betty or the Lich and still act like it's not a kid's cartoon. Regular Show does stand out to me though, it seems to be written more for adults than kids but left child friendly to be a CN show. Shit, didn't they have to censor words like "crap" in s1 because Quintel still wasn't 100% on board with the kid cartoons standards and practices? Regular Show I would say is a less flamboyant Rocko as far as who the true target audiance is. I watched season 1 of Close Enough, it's literally the same formula but instead of focusing on 2 bachelors it focuses on a married couple with a kid and they can say "crap".Shit, I actually believe Clarence has a lot of value to an adult since, imo, the show really nails down a child's perspective so well that I think you need to be grown up to see and appreciate that, whereas with a kid Gumball might seem just as youthful as Clarence even though as an adult I see Gumball and classmates' dialog as cognizant sitcom writing. Have I been verbosly reductive? The more I think about it the more the line seems to be blurring.

I don't know why, but I actually love the Captain America Age of Ultron suit. It's one of the few where the red really popped against the rest of the outfight.
