It's funny that in storyline Jason Todd is known as Batman's biggest mistake, when in reality he is the franchise's biggest mistake. You could have had him as a critique of Batman's entire philosophy and as an exploration of morality within the series, but post initial appearance they proceeded to completely defang him, made him not a villain, and now he's just floating around aimlessly doing nothing. Realistically he should have stayed dead, so Batman's biggest mistake would have been regret over having a dead kid on his hands, instead of it being recontextualized as he created this weird as fuck character that serves no purpose.
>>151809288>so Batman's biggest mistake would have been regret over having a dead kid on his handsMaybe in a world where DC as some integrity. But since Bruce act as a jerk toward Jason's memory as soon as his body hit the ground, Bruce's regrets are as meaningfull as the regrets a criminal feels when they get caught.>>151809496You're the average schizo DCfag.

>>151810231Imagine a story where Batman travels in the past, kills his parents' murderers before they kill the Waynes, then realizes that by killing them he has destroyed Batman. Which he is fine with, but that means that all the people he has saved over the years are now going to suffer and die. So he has to kill his own parents to preserve a future with a Batman. He tries but he can't bring himself to. So instead he shoots his kid self. This causes a time paradox and forces some time police or higher entity to intervene and repair the timeline, preventing Batman from even going back to the past. A self-contained filler issue.

ITT: unpopular opinions about Ed, Edd n Eddy.I start by saying that I consider the real end of this show as the last episode of season 4, but even in season 4 it doesn't feel like Ed, Edd'n Eddy anymore so I would say the most accurate real end is "The Day the Ed Stood Still" during season 3 and I Include the two first episodes of season 4 in season 3, but exclude the two last episodes of season 3 and put them in season 4.Also the first half of season 4 feel different from the second half of it who start with the Eddy's shameful surname episode.

Humor me. I've been following the comic for years now, and wondering how much charactor favorability predicts feelings on other characters, positive and negative. I polled other places like the official Discord, Tumblr, Bluesky, and Patreon. It was a lot of what you'd expect based on the echo chambers on each website, with some interesing discrepancies. But I wanted to see how people felt here because I thought I'd get the most interesting opinions.https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdo6Opyjo4XL2ESLaSUrP7ggE_wzGfGDwj1nEFKP8X5cbCjrA/viewform?usp=dialogAbbey isn't here because I forgot to put him in the first poll I did, and I'm too lazy to fix it, lol.
>>151807610Taeshi is fascinating because she regularly stumbles into the deep, ambitious ideas she desperately wants BCB to be full of, but she just doesn't capitalize on them. Augustus handed the "cycle of abuse" and recovery narrative she wants to explore [according to her Tumblr whining] on a silver platter, but instead she abandoned that in favor of making him a skintag on Lucy's shoulder, and trying to do that with the cardboard cut-outs known as Mike and Lucy. Does anybody in this comic have hobbies, or positive friendships? It was crumbs, but I miss the small gestures towards that stuff because at least it gave the illusion of something more.
>>151796555I'm curious what, if anything, dislike of Mike correlates with, here and elsewhere.
>>151809516I saw that disliking of Mike on here correlated with positivity towards Paulo, and Augustus to a much lesser extent. It doesn't correlate to liking Lucy generally speaking. My guess based on the written responses is that this comes from a preference towards "active" characters, and frustration with the idiot ball storytelling of BCB. A lot of people on here who dislike Mike generally also hate the Sandy subplot, and her as a character. Elsewhere, it gets interesting, because people who dislike Mike are actually more likely to rate Daisy and Paulo lower, but put Lucy and Sue higher. I also saw that 50% of people who dislike Mike related to Lucy, 42% related to Daisy, and 33% related to Sue on other websites.
