He's a complete joke character with no other purpose than to shit over himself in front of audiences and make everyone laugh with his quirky fruitless antics. Ambush Bug on the other hand is our HERO.

>People will never understand superman because they live in a society with no hope for the future and reason to do good
Of course villains take more spotlight nowdays, captain obvious.

>From the pages of Jingle Belle comes everybody's favorite Texas firebrand! Master comics writer Paul Dini has set his imagination loose in the Southwest, and the result is Mutant, Texas, a town where several natural and nuclear disasters have irradiated the environment, giving strange new attributes to the inhabitants -- human, animal, and otherwise. This includes the pretty-as-pie, ginger-locked, good-time gal, Ida Red. A lady who can fly and shoot blasts of lightning from her fingers makes one heck of a sheriff, particularly when those crafty Kiyote Bros. are on the prowl! Join Dini and artist J. Bone for a brand-new adventure, taking you from Ida's youth to when she earned that silver star.

>"With MUTANT, TEXAS, I wanted to create a place where basically, anything goes," Dini said. "At the same time, with Ida, I'm creating another twist on the fun superheroine characters that I'm known for contributing to BATMAN ADVENTURES and other places. Ida's story is filled with action, humor, some tragedy, and a lot of excitement. I'm removing all limits from what kind of trouble, both real and comedic, that I can get Ida and her friends into. Plus, it's great to create a place where it doesn't matter what corner you looked in, there's always something different to be seen. Not only is it a big, sprawling comedic neo-western epic, MUTANT, TEXAS is a creative ground with infinite possibilities."
>"For me, it's all about denim," Bone commented. "Paul said he wanted to do something in the southwest, and I thought, 'Oooh, great! Denim!' There's not enough denim in comics, and I've had my fill of plaid school-girl skirts."
>Dini aggress. "I have seen what Bone is doing with Ida's little blue shorts, and I am extremely pleased with the visual direction this book is taking."
>"It's been exciting to work with Paul at Oni," said editor in chief Jamie S. Rich. "We really get to see him stretch his legs creatively. He went for teenage comedy in 'The Honor Rollers,' and vacillated between racy humor and syrupy sentiment in the JINGLE BELLE books. MUTANT, TEXAS looks like it's going to be the most fun yet."
>>
>PD: In the earlier issues I went back and forth on the tone of the stories, and I sometimes found myself wavering between being funny and being crude. I wasn’t sure how far to take Jing toward an older or even adult audience, which was one of the things I learned by trial and error.
>I looked at the other books Oni Press was publishing at that time, and as much as I liked Clerks and Barry Ween, I realized trying to take her in that direction was moving her into Bad Santa territory. That was not only a bad fit for Jingle tonally, but also it worked against the look of the charming artwork created by Stephen DiStefano, Lynne Naylor, J. Bone and many other talented cartoonists.
>As for situations I don’t think she works well in; aside from the hockey stories, she’s not much of a team player. Other than hanging out sometimes with Polly the Witch, or more rarely, Ida Red from the Mutant, Texas stories, I don’t like making Jing a group leader. It diminishes what’s unique and funny about her.

>I didn't realize everyone had the same face or voice until Lisa spoke
Yeah that's what I meant by saying it "would have been too... obvious" if they tried to do the same thing with live-action. Your mind kind of just accepts that all the stop-motion dolls sort of look and sound the same without questioning it much. Similar to how you wouldn't question why everyone in an Anime has the same face with superficial changes like hair and clothes. In old South Park most of the characters had the same faces and were often voiced by the same people (Matt/Trey) barely changing their voices and you don't question it.

If it was live-action it'd be much more obvious what was happening right from the start.

Phew! Bit of a long one today, but I promised myself I'd give you two story arcs per thread (as fun as these are, I don't want to be doing them forever) and these two were a bit longer than expected.

I'll be back tomorrow with one more (hopefully shorter) thread before 2026 ends!

Really just another application of the old “opposites attract” thing.
Dominant personalities can’t have another dominant personality around. She picked the most submissive blob she could to piss off her parents.
From personal experience, you can pull a baddie a few miles over your head and out of your league by knowing how to make them laugh/cum. Those are bare minimum tho.

Vast majority of pro-Sid replies in this thread seem to be from the same schizo trying to get a laugh at being a contrarian.
There's several little hints about Sid's temperament and morals from his scenes. One example is the way that he laughs when he's doing something bad, as if he's enjoying it.

Doubt it, we only have 13 bumps left and over 24 hours to go. Everyone would have to stop talking to each other and only reply to bump the thread when it hits page 9/10. Which seems counterproductive to having fun or even basic discussion.

It's okay if we don't make it to new years. Things don't always end when you want them too, but we had fun, right? That's what really matters.

Just make him another New God. They all have weird themed gimmicks that make zero sense. They already have a Robin Hood that rides a giant dog, Genghis Khan in pink armor, evil Stan Lee, and Monocle German officer. Space Cowboy with laser sixguns would fit right in.

Make him the guy that Darkseid planned to appoint the governor of Earth and he adopted some weird Earth costume for it. Now he is extra vengeful since he never got to have his planet and comes after Superman for it.
