Your mind kind of just accepts that all the stop-motion dolls sort of look and sound the same without questioning it much. In old South Park most of the characters had the same faces and were often voiced by the same people (Matt/Trey) barely changing their voices and you don't question it.If it was live-action it'd be much more obvious what was happening right from the start.
