There is no confirmed overplot, only implied overplot. And we never, never, never know what the fuck is going on until the plot is actively in the middle of resolving. We have no way to anticipate whats happening or look forward to a future payoff because everything the villians do is a secret not just to the main characters, but to the reader as well. This is true in every arc that has villains in EGS.

Im feeling like DEEEEEEEP DOOOOWN the ideal webcomic for Dan to write wouod be something about fat nerd guys in charge of a nerd store.He knows how to write them, and most of the cast has been hanging around them and talking about that topic non stop.Had he finished EGS years ago, he could have had a comic about fat nerd guys playing RPG, and use that as an excuse for transformations happening on their stories.

I saw a painting of a burger once and (being the amerifat that I am) immediately got the sense that the artist wanted to convey the joy that seeing a nice burger brings. Not trying to say that Dan can't draw because he could certainly kick my ass art-wise if he wanted to, but given all the comments lately about how his art looks 'off', I think his technical skills don't match what he's going for, causing people to look for a 'story' because the art doesn't speak for itself.Also, Dan has a exposition fetish so it's doubly fucked, but I don't think that's going away anytime soon.
