I hate that I can't just get an estimate of the amount of calories that are in a food just by looking at it. I made pot roast with potatoes, celery, and carrots today, ate some of that, but who knows exactly how many calories are in a single serving. it makes me just want to eat singular things that I know I can input into a diary (like bananas or something) instead of building a meal with multiple ingredients. I know the answer, what I must do - that is, suck it up and make the effort to log everything, then do the math to calculate what might be a reasonable serving, but god damn if it ain't frustrating to have to do this.

I was on track today, but I decided to say screw it. It's been 5 months, and not a day has gone by where I haven't exercised. I even tried when I was sick. But I had been so stressed for the past few days, feeling hopeless. I'm close to my goal, nearly underweight, but it still feels so far away. I realized it was okay to take a break today. I ate a full size chocolate bar, drank chocolate milk, ate some mini chocolates, and then ate a bologna sandwich with American cheese even though I wasn't hungry. I just chose to do it because I felt like it. I also didn't exercise. I can get back on the horse tomorrow. I feel bloated, but satisfied that I made this decision. I'm not going to feel guilt for it, because I accept responsibility for my own actions and I will fix whatever damage I've done in the coming days.Things will be okay.
