it's garbage.

gmail and google workspace are enterprise tier software. you couldn't run proton email for a 5 man company.
>>
>>107891069
>free VPNs
Using them is a full retard move and one of the biggest examples of "you are the product". Either pay for a real VPN or accept the fact that someone will use your actual IP to post 'p with sooner or later.
>>
What’s your use case
>>
>>107891087
it's not a free service. it's a limited free tier for a paid service.
people end up liking it and pay for it to get more speed.
>>
>>107891104
I think he meant in general, not Proton specifically. Free VPNs tend to be shady and a bunch of them got called out for all kinds of data harvesting.

I am dual running windows 11 and Ubuntu (because realistically It's the easiest to setup); what should I actually do on it? I understand the benefits of it being open-source and optional with data sharing, but I have no clue what to do with it.

Try to make all your software run on it, so you can get rid of this abomination Win11 is.
(Sadly, you probably won't be able to.)

Pick one thing you exclusively use Windows for and start doing it only in Linux. Gaming, graphic design, dev, whatever, get everything set up so you can live in Ubuntu while you do it.

Maybe someday when I have a house where I can store those things. I wonder how my employer would react if I set up a turntable in one of the server rooms at work and started storing records there.

Do any of you know if there's a device that takes an AM/FM radio signal and puts it out through coaxial S/PDIF? Preferably for less than 30 dollarydoos and WITHOUT any bloated bluetooth/wifi streaming feature creep. Nearest I've found are DVD home theater centers from like 2005, but exceptionally few of them actually have the digital coax out.
>why do you want this?
Local radio is based.
>why this configuration specifically?
My setup is pretty retarded, but I have a free floating digital coax input and quick access to radio would be neat.

That haptic gun is laughable. Incredibly weak. Like I said, SOLENOID, retard. Oh, and before you go and find one running off some 3.7V powerbank with a buck converter, I'm going to specify 24V and 2A at minimum.

>faux rifle
There's a reason I said pistol. I'm well aware there are a handful of rifles, I own one. They have even more issues, like requiring both hands so you can't really reload in any fucking game. Controller shape is not irrelevant, it determines how you hold the fucking controller.

>this is time crisis because some youtuber goy made a clickbait title
Wow, you're even dumber than I thought. VR gun games are hot dogshit.

>why the would anyone buy VR to play these repetitive trash where you're not in control of your own character?
Because everything in VR is so much worse than that "repetitive trash". I can play Time Crisis every month or two and not get bored of it, and yet I'll never play Alyx again.

>muh FPS mods
So you agree that VR games are shit and that you're just playing modded titles because now there aren't even any new VR releases to pretend you like, but you can't understand how laughable it is that you can't even play light gun games in VR?
>>
>>107890752
>find one running off some 3.7V powerbank with a buck converter
then create your own, make an adapter using 3D printed metal, and power it out of a wall socket, loser

weight and feedback barely do anything to sell the experience. you're so moronic.

>Controller shape is not irrelevant,
it is "irrelevant" in a sense that if you play anything other than a boring corridor wave shooter there will be a thousand more important things going on for controller shape to matter in any significant way. in fact, this goes the other way actually, the less generic the shape is, the heavier the components are, etc the worse the experience is

>it determines how you hold the fucking controller.
why the fuck would i want it to look like a revolver replica when ill be grabbing a wide variety of guns and objects? what purpose does that even serve?

>VR gun games are hot dogshit.
because gun games are dogshit

Is there really no indie Dev besides VRchat that grew a successful company using VR? Meta really fucked the entire ecosystem, without them buying up and locking every successful Dev in a dungeon there would have been enough success stories to have built an attractive ecosystem. Looking in after ignoring it feels like I'm looking at exactly the same shit I was seeing in the 2010s, it's crazy how absolutely no progress was made in 10 years.

FN is not a normal modifier. There is no actual keycode for it, and the keypress is not sent to the OS.
So unless your keyboard itself allows you to remap FN then there's no possible way for the OS to do it.

No, all stored inside. This is a pervasive problem, stop acting like you've never seen DVD drives just stop working.
For the BD drive I increased the power to its red laser and it started recognizing discs again, but only after 2-3 attempts.
So it's not damaged or anything, just normal degradation that ALL of them experience.

I fucking hate these too. Retarded fucking shitty chair design. I need to buy a new one

It cost me less than 400 euros, AM5 rig. The parts are :
Motherboard : Gigabyte eagle AX B650 AM5- Brand new from Amazon 135 euros with shipping included
Processor : Amd RYZEN 5 8400F AM5 socket - used from Vinted 75 euros with shipping included
CPU cooler : Bequiet dark rock 3 130mm fan 6 heatpipes : used from Vinted 20 euros shipping included
Ram : 16 Gb kit sk hynix SODIMM : used from Vinted 48 euros shipping included
Sodimm to dimm adapters : brand new from Aliexpress, 10 euros for each so 20 euros in total.
Gpu : bought separately before gpu Armageddon : brand new from Amazon - Nvidia rtx 5060 8 gb gddr7 - 269 euros during black Friday
So the mobo, ram and processor came to 300 euros give or take. I won't enable xmp/expo as already the adapters add distance between the ram and the motherboard but they are stable, gonna put it in my new pc case with the gpu next week. I'm so happy bros.
