Everything is already from China, but here we discuss the cheap chink shit you see on various sites.

Hey /csg/,

Does anyone have experience with aliexpress cheap(ish) portable multimeter+oscilloscope devices? I've been eyeing some of them, but I kinda have some healthy doubt about them. I could probably buy a used second-hand oscilloscope for a similar price, but I would rather have a smaller one, especially that those can export data to PC or similar.
>>
>>107854845
i'm going through something like this as well. these guys are stalling to run out the clock and i really want to be an asshole about this and just dispute so i'm giving them a chance to see if we can fix it by ourselves.
very likely i'll have to return it and get my refund and lose out on shopping credit and time as well. this shit's so fucked.
their page has "1 year warranty" on it as well and i am very curious how genuine they are in honoring it if i wasn't going to go through ali's dispute system

maybe they were more lenient in 2016
or maybe it was low value enough that they did not want to fight it (the underpaid ali official + seller cant compete with somebody with infinite time high on 2016 meme magic + neetbucks)

attempt two is naturally, 1girl
30 steps, 768x768, it takes a long time before starting to gen just beating the shit out of my ram. this one only took 40 secs to gen after though. it clearly does not like the smaller resolution.

>>107856355
i used the inference script from the model page. attempting to drop the resolution and steps to see what kinda timing i get but it'll probably look like ass.

>>107856378
OK thanks anon, I wonder if it'll be able to do llamacpp style offloading to ram in comfy.
>>
>>107856417
dropping the res also made it eat shit, going back to defaults and starting again. all the offloading stuff is already present in the gen pipeline so i don't see why it wouldn't be in comfy, it's all python. it's a big as fuck offload though.

How do I check if there's a virus that's planted itself on a drive (non-bootable; backup)? I'm wholly ignorant with regards to knowing what a virus can and cannot do, so I don't know what precautions to take to ensure another system/drive doesn't get infected. I don't believe I have any reason to worry, but I just want 100% assurance (even though there's almost no such thing).

Are virus/malware scanners sufficient? What then if something is found, and how to discern between a false positive? Do I just nuke my partition table and use recovery software to recover my files?

Daisy's Destruction is an urban legend. There's literally no evidence the actual video exists. At most people claim they've seen a trailer, but there's no actual evidence that exists either, and even if it does, there's no reason to believe it's part of a longer video, and even if it is, there's no way to know what that video might contain.

You're supposed to capitalize letters by hitting shift with the opposite hand. Your right shift key should see almost as much use as the left shift key.
If you don't use it, you suck at typing.
Simple as.

>You're supposed to capitalize letters by hitting shift with the opposite hand. Your right shift key should see almost as much use as the left shift key.
that's what your pinky is for
>>
>>107856253
Multiple times world champion typist Sean Wrona uses caps lock to capitalize letters and is probably a faster typist than you will ever be.
Also multiple typists who can type well over 200wmp only use one of the shift keys.
Here is something that will make a lot of people seethe as well: the home row method is sub optimal.
Basically none of the top typists type completely by the book. If you want to get for realzies fast alt fingering is a must.
Midwits often mistakenly believe that anything that is not considered "by the book" typing form is inherently bad but they are wrong.
The normal home row method as it is taught in schools is only "good" because it's a relatively easy to learn way to get good enough at touch typing.

Besides the fact that its low powered and cute n tiny. Whats the advantage of buying a raspberry pi for $160 versus buying something like a used hp elitedesk g3 for less than $100? Why pay more for less computing power? Besides people out there living off the grid trying to conserve power, i dont understand the point of these things

>and only uses 15W.
Also OP this is one of the reasons to get a Pi (not for that asking price however), the thing is a light sipper for being a home server or media center than a full fledged PC.

Only problem is it struggles to do multiple things (something they've been trying to fix to mixed success) at the same time.

The Pi is great for a single-purpose low-powered PC application/use-case?.meme, but it sucks as an actual PC/using it for more hardcore stuff.
>>
>>107852776
It's so small that you can shovel it into your ass.
>>
The Raspberry is garbage. Look into a Radxa Rock 5C, they compete with x86 for a fraction of power usage, and have great hardware transcoding and a fucking NPU.
>>
>>107855039
Yep. The 3b does fine doing terminal and hosting webui stuff. As soon as you fire up xwin /lightdm it bogs down, and browser is even worse. It can’t transcode. But if you don’t ask it to do that stuff it works great.
