I am buying a Google Pixel 7a because my Samsung A03s doesn't work with voicemail and doesn't charge properly.

What am I in for buying a Google Pixel 7a? What did I do wrong with my Samsung?

Is Google Pixel 7a a good phone? I heard mixed things about Google Pixels being slow but other things about it being really useful. The one I am getting is octa-core and has 128 gigabytes.

Does Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC IoT 22h2 receive the 2032 security updates, or is it better for me to revert back to 21h2?

>>
>>107857135
Use 22H2 Enterprise with the ESU licenses activated. It goes to 2028 instead but you have troubles with running whatever programs don't like 21H2. If you want to use IoT LTSC 2021 then you gotta stick with 21H2 to actually get updates properly.

i've had the opportunity to use one. i really thought i would hate it. i went into it fully expecting to. as much as it pains me to admit it, they're actually really fucking cool. they're basically like an ipad mini when totally unfolded. good for watching videos or reading text. and it's still more or less usable as a normal phone when totally folded. the 2/3 fold is a meme use case that can basically be ignored

Why is this a selling point for an operating system? Who is actually outright ENTHUSED about containers when they could just be running regular bloat-free software?

>>107856195
It means that it's distributed like a container (OCI) image rather than how a traditional distro gets distributed. A traditional distro will use a package manager to install individual packages onto a filesystem until it builds a working system. The way that this works is the whole working system is installed in one big mostly immutable blob and rather than having updates to individual packages, you have updates to that blob.
It's called cloud-native because this is technology used mainly by cloud servers. AB updates, containerization, immutable systems, etc. Universal Blue/Bazzite use something called bootc to take container images (this is the cloud-native part) and install them directly onto desktop hardware rather than in a container.

on freebsd when rebooting it just hangs forever unless i hit the power button to shut it down and it also doesnt wake up from suspending, i just get a black screen and have to force a shutdown to fix it

Don't buy anything OTHER THAN IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad T, X, and W/P Series if you want the Real Business Experience™
>Other business laptops are welcome in /tpg/ (Dell Latitude/Precision, HP EliteBook/ZBook)

Why ThinkPad?
>Used machines are plentiful and cheap
>Excellent keyboards, tactile feel and quiet + the TrackPoint
>Great durability: magnesium roll cage for structural integrity, with high quality plastic body panels
>Utilitarian design: e.g. indicator LEDs, 7 row keyboard layout on older models
>Docking stations that easily turns your laptop into a desktop
>Easy to repair (most models), upgrade & maintain thanks to readily available service manuals for every model, spare parts easy & cheap to obtain
>Excellent Linux & *BSD support

I guess I figured maybe I'd want to keep the disc drive. I still do use it, but really only occasionally. I actually do have some 2.5" HDDs lying around, but I take this laptop everywhere and I'm afraid of the HDD dying on me.

I'm thinking of getting a cheap accelerator, and having a basic bitch llm running ollama not so i can generate porn but because my inventory management service has a plugin that supports locally hosted AI via ollama
>I'd like further suggestions from here
Firewall, netowork managed UPS, network managed switched PDU, some tiny low powered box that hosts basic shit like DNS as well as keeps your public DNS records up to date. config store, forgejo, authentication server, credential manager, etc...
>>
>>107856276
It's in progress because I haven't set it up yet, I'm trying to figure out how to configure the software for my purposes.
Kubernetes, docker and simular software seem to be made with cloud computing in mind ( or "microservices" as they call them ), and I need it to run scientific computation.
I have 2 threadrippers 3970x on Gigabyte TRX40 aourus masters with 512 GB DDR4 RAM total, currently one is my PC and the other I use for the long-running programs, been trying to link them up.
The server's got a dual epyc setup (woun't be used in the cluster).

And desu this much ram is a waste on both of them, max usage I ever get is 100 GB use when I fuck up.
