>T.having a bad take both on rust and C++
>No one likes type theory shenanigans
The upgraded type system is a big part of why C++ became popular and some of the best improvements in languages are because of the auto checking types can do. You already need guard statements with types because of the ability to declare them null. Those statements become much more verbose when you don't even get type guarantees and waste more time at runtime when they could be filtered at compile time.
>No one cares about lifetimes
Everyone who is actually good at software development cares about lifetimes, even in languages where you don't need to explicitly define lifetimes you still need to think about them if you want to write good software.

Truth
No one uses this memelang
All the threads starting flame wars about Zig, Jonathan Blowjob or Odin are just shill threads for shitty memelangs nophono cares about
The only things you need are C#, Java, C++ and Rust
Everything else “solves” a non-issue
>>
>>107689402
Personally, I don't like the categorization of "C/C++ replacement". Modern C++ is enormously complex and, when used idiomatically, looks very different from C. That's why I see Rust and Zig as filling different niches. Rust is a C++ replacement, an already very complex language with extra features being added each version. Zig is a C replacement, a simpler language focused on manual control.
I like many things about Rust, like the trait syntax and sum types, but I'm not completely sold on the borrow checker. But the real reason I avoid the language is social. The community is full of deranged ideological shill types. I don't mean flooding formerly technical forums with leftist politics and getting people who object canceled, though they do that too. I mean that they are very ideological about Rust, which makes it very hard to get a reasonable assessment of the language's weaknesses.

I think you're talking about jews here not salespeople
and the reason they're so seemingly irrational is because they're selling your grandmother not theirs
same with jeets. just like jews see scamming as reparations for the holocaust jeets see scamming your grandma as reparations for colonialism
also jews know that benefitting shareholders disproportionately benefits their tribe and that tribe will inevitably further push jewish interests like no other tribe so even though these things look irrational to the uninitiated they do in fact act completely rational and understandable (if I were a jew I'd fuck over the goyim cattle as well)

Still need help with this.
Essentially the linux file system is fucked. I can log in, do stuff in the operating system. But if I go into a game, pretty soon 3-10min, the game and pc freezes and I have to use the power button to reset as nothing else works.

Why are you so sure about this?
>can boot
>can log in
>can do stuff in the operating system
What you describe does not look like a crash caused by file system errors to me. Why did you start your initial question with the hard assumption that it's about the file system? Not trying to judge you here. I just want to know what pointed you into that particular direction.

this is fucking hilarious. doesn't matter if apex, valorant, rust, cs2 faceit or any other league. any FPS is currently unplayable because kids run color/ML aimbots on their second pc and forward inputs to their gayming pc with this 40$ passthrough device. and all the jeet AC devs are too stupid to write an aimbot detection algo that doesn't result in 6 million false positive bans. yazi config changes too often. i've been running my own fork for a while and disabled the annoying daemon. overall it feels nice, but it lacks way too many features that ranger had. it recently got tabs but they aren't fully integrated afaik.

it suffers from the same issue as ranger, if you try to open a fuse filesystem (through jmtpfs or samba/ssh), it will try to preview every images and videos which will quickly cause the filsystem to overload and become unusable.
your only option is then to sigkill the yazi daemon and client. it's still missing proper shell support (e.g run yazi commands directly inside yazi) and other stuffs like :filter or @ that made ranger so nice to use. although being able to build plugins as object is really nice
