What is your favorite calculator?

These gay ass calcs always used to run out of battery for me during exams even and that single line screen is a cunt to use.
Get a TI-30xs, preferably the solar edition. It's way better than casiotrash.
>>
My favorite is an old model TI-89. A buddy of mine gave it me for tutoring him. He picked it up at a pawnshop for cheap, but the professor spotted it and was quite upset about it.
Prior to that, I had been using a TI-85. A different buddy gave it to me since it was too hard for him to use in the age of the TI-84.
It offers complex vector and matrix support, which is quite entertaining.
I have a TI-92 in a box somewhere. I bought it years later for giggles, never really used it. It would be hilarious to bust out that ol' cinderblock in class.

>>107837026
I liked the non-backlit models due to the extreme battery life.
They'd last about a semester (maybe a little less) on one set of batteries.
I can't imagine charging a calculator like a phone. What a pain in the ass.
>>

Are these worth actual money used? I got one for free that idk what to do with.

A 48GX specifically can be kinda valuable especially if it comes with expansion cards, purely as a collectible.
But for use, they're only good if you really really want a powerful RPN calculator but can't find a hp50g.

I hear Safari 26 supports HDR
>>
>>107837099
It's completely backwards compatible. Earlier devices will just read the base PNG portion and ignore the HDR extras.

They need a way to specify the difference between bright and very bright, otherwise you end up with an image where everything is dark except for the sun.

It isn't the 2000s anymore anon. Windows makes up a relatively small percentage of microsofts annual revenue, and most of that comes from businesses that are paying the big bucks to deshittify their os. They make more money shilling their products to a dwindling audience than they would otherwise make

Bought cheap Xiaomi ones for 15€, it went from around 2h battery to 30min max in 12/18 month.
Don't buy expensive ones, like other said, you'll have to replace them sooner or later
>>
>>107838774
>one earbud stops reliably charging after a year
>battery capacity noticeably degraded after two
they’re 3x the price for the same quality as wired ones and the shelf life just isn’t good
>>
>>107838774
one constant issue ive seen as my bluetooth earbuds get older, they bug out and videos wont play at all. i turn off Bluetooth and the videos play again, reconnect my headphones and audio is back. Really strange.
>>
>>107838774
They're too comfy even with the downsides. I can just get up from my computer to do shit whenever I want. Which means I can clean, workout, cook, or use the bathroom while still listening to music or random videos, and not breaking momentum.
>>
>>107838835
Lithium batteries in consumer electronics have ~300-400 charge cycle. 100-0. If you buy a BT headphone with 100 hrs lifespan and do 100-0 before charging, thats 100 hrs x 350 hrs = 35,000 hrs of usage. Thats ~1500 days of constant usage. Or around 4 years of 24/7 usage.

If you use it 8 hours a day, thats 12 years of battery life from 100-0 charge cycle.

I tried wsl but its too fucking slow
TUI apps like vim were unusable in it.

I also tried bash via msys and that worked fine but I never bothered to port all of my batch scripts, shell config, plugins and keybinds over.
It would probably be fine but honestly the command prompt with clink+extensions is very comfy.

Some day I'll take the time to configure everything in bash and then switch over.
Or maybe I'll just learn it for scripting purposes while keeping cmd as my interactive shell.

I want to learn how to make android apps. Where do I start. So far I've looked at the Android Basics with Compose Course

https://developer.android.com/courses/android-basics-compose/course

I'm proficient with running and using LLMs (local and SaaS so I think that might help me a little bit.. yes I know I have a lot to learn but I'm willing to put time and effort into it.

Current relevant hardware I have is an M4 max MacBook pro. I already have Android Studio installed as well as vs code and local LLM servers (I primarily use llama-server whenever possible)
