How do people put up with the pill notch? It looks horrible. Reviewers don't dare to complain because they will be blacklisted and Apple users are loyal to their own detriment. You will only hear complaints when iPhone whatever will have true edge-to-edge screen and the reviewers will act like Apple just invented sliced bread.

What is the point of VPN?

Yes, you hide your IP address but you can't hide the fact that you are hiding your IP address because your new VPN IP address is already known as a datacenter IP address and you'll get automatically treated as a bot everywhere.

Also, using a VPN requires you to install that VPN company's client software on your PC which can be considered as a privacy problem on its own.

What is better: a 14" or a 16" MacBook Pro? I can't decide. It's unironically too difficult to decide. On one hand, I would prefer the larger display, on the other hand I use my laptop exclusively when I can't use my PC to do something, which means I need a laptop for use around the house and carry it outside first and foremost. I absolutely do not want to use an external monitor almost ever though.

>>
OK, but despite all the replies I still can't actually decide. Is there any way to decide on it without buying both? Can I try both of them somehow perhaps?
>>
>>107858375
pull a heist on your nearby apple store lol or find someone who can actually loan you the things. if u go w/ the former though sneak me some airpods
>>
>>107858375
It doesn't matter. Especially if you learn your keyboard shortcuts and get an external display. In a situation like that, 90% of the time you'll be using the external monitor and you'll have as much space as you want, and for the rest of that 10% you'll be able to navigate the system so well you won't really need to use your mouse much at all, and won't need to keep as many onscreen elements visible at all times. So in the context of desktop-type OSes, screen real estate is irrelevant.
Get a 16" if you want longer battery life and get a 14" if you plan to take it everywhere you go and you want the extra portability.

I recommend 16".

How come my LED light bulb dies after turning on 50k times but the LED on a LAN port blinks 5 times per second for 30 years?

They'd need to spend 10 or 20x more on that BoM line item to get the same lumens claim.

Hard sell to management and marketing, particularly when burn-out rate is probably the sales rate +- a few percent.
>>
>>107855941
>They can afford to make it burn in 6 months, when you don't even remember where you buy it anyway.
Joke's on (((them))), I *DO* remember where I bought it, and keep the invoice, so I have infinite free replacements, since each swap resets the warranty period under EU law.
This is what (((they))) get for forcing me into an inferior product.

I purchased that exact same keyboard at a garage sale from a fat neckbeard and it looked like that if not worse, complete with pubic hair and what looked like cum stains.
I got the price down from €25 to €10 thanks to that. It was worth it because it was pristine otherwise once deep scrubbed and disinfected. I still use it to this day.

ok you too. I just cleaned my keyboard (that I use with my laptop) a couple of days ago and it feels great. It had been a while, and I didn't notice it was kinda greasy.

I thought I'd miss microsd cards, but I really don't. They were slow and you would never swap them, only use them permanently in the phone.
What I actually miss is being able to do anything without Google's or Apple's permission. Google's photo picker is unusable and you can't replace it. Everything is getting locked down
>>
>>107849362
>I tried to buy a replacement, but every "new" battery I found was almost a decade old and they all as useless as the original one or worse after being stored for so long
For popular devices, you can easily find a chinaman who's happy to tell you a new battery rated for more capacity than the original battery. But when you get it you notice it's suspiciously lightweight, unwrap it and find a much smaller lower capacity cell with some bits of plastic or foam around it to pad it out to the required size.
>>
>>107851697

When ever you open your phone it sends low burst radio signal that can be read over 100 meters.

>Your phone is always on and traceable, even if it's off
This is most likely false. You can build a lectenna very easily. It's just an LED and the right sort of diode wired in parallel, with the legs spread apart. The long stick formed by the legs acts as an antenna that picks up enough power from a nearby phone's signal to blink the LED whenever the phone transmits. It's something the phone can't bypass since it's just picking up the transmitted signal itself and running off that.

its possible but its actually somewhat rare, like if the game is made wrong and had insane fps swings then you may have to disable vrr

locally theres oleds on sale for around 500 €, but local pricing is what it is. You went past the christmas sales period so you may have to wait for a sale to pop up.
