Any version of Windows since 1995 has been more polished, production-ready and user-friendly than any Linux distro ever made. That's obvious to anybody who has installed both of them on the same machine.

Are Linux users just lying about their distros being a better experience than a Windows installation?

My father worked for Mercedes-Benz USA and had a Microsoft Network membership back before it was an ISP and was a monthly newsletter. Anyone who was a MSN member could pay $20 and join the beta test. My father and I have the same name, so I ordered the beta floppies for myself in his name. (Almost $45 in today's money)

post an example of what you're working with. there's a good chance what you think is stellar is just obvious slop.
>the laziest AIslop ever, and get trillions of likes and followers
a good number of those are paid bots or cartel money laundering botnets feigning activity so the money they get looks more "legitimate."

also twitter is largely shit for discoverability. starting an account you're nerfed on reach until you do enough(or get enough interaction) that it doesn't think you're a bot account. also don't use hashtags you largely get penalized for that. just state character names in plain text(people still search for this) unless you're hopping on an actual legitimate trend in a non-scummy way.
OC's won't get you fucking anywhere. you need to be popular before you can do anything with them. popular characters or specific characters from specific franchises will get more interaction than others.
NSFW stuff has zero reach. the only people that can see it are people that search for it and people who follow people that RT it. it will not show up in the "for you" feed and won't really grow you that much. also if you do too much NSFW your entire account and everything you post gets labeled NSFW regardless of what it is.
you should also be posting to pixiv and having your twitter link backlinked from your profile. you can technically also post it in image descriptions but I'd probably avoid that since pixiv can be kind of weird about things.
also people like things that are cute. and a lot of them like little girls.

I like that you can create signals in a wide range of frequencies with a computer.
>>
>>107675966
>wide range of frequencies
https://github.com/F5OEO/rpitx
> It can handle frequencies from 5 KHz up to 1500 MHz.
It is crucial that you use correct filtering before thinking about going on the air with this, or harmonics will splatter across important bands such as rescue frequencies.

What's the logic behind O3 being in the order it is? Are you prioritizing the attacks hitting current and approaching targets?

I’ve been running Linux Mint for over four years and was happy with it until the recent drama, especially the AI security scan fiasco. It really shook my trust in the maintainers.

I started looking for alternatives, but after testing hundreds of distros, none of them met my expectations for stability and reliability. I began to accept that my system would just break from time to time until I found a thread recommending Windows Seven as a rock-solid alternative.

After researching, it turns out this version is still surprisingly usable. It’s stable, reliable, and with extended updates plus a good firewall, security isn’t a major issue.

Has anyone else tried this? How did it go for you? Personally, I haven’t run into a single problem so far.

I did not contact my family this year but I'm looking at getting one of those fancy electric motorcycles (used) for myself cuz i finally got a decent job and stable finances

i did order myself some fetish items and bike stuff that i wanted to be my christmas present to myself but the mail carrier sucks and has probably destroyed my package. so i'm gonna order a bunch of nonsense off of princess auto. gonna get some steel ammo cans and random hardware to mount it to my current canadian tire special bike with motors on it and get one of those contractors' snowsuit bib things so i wont have to wear 19 pairs of pajamas under my pants and also 31 shirts (yes i do anal)

most families with no kids in em at that time generally dont bother. and think back to your youth, your parents probably only gave eachother some very notable single gift or nothing at all. or a "family gift" like a new computer/console that they wanted but only pulled the trigger on at xxxtittymas time to make the kids extra happy

If people decided that all AppImages go into /app and someone made an AppImage installer program, set up an association to open an AppImage as that program. Made it so that on launch it would show the same thing: AppImage icon, arrow, a directory with drag and drop interaction. That interaction would move the AppImage to /app/AppImage. That same app would also be a launcher that would look at a path and if launched from /app/ path it would recognize it's not installation, and would just launch the AppImage. This is basically the same thing.

Installation of any application ever was just glorified copy. In the days of DOS it was more obvious, but nothing has changed. The only thing install shields and similar wizard programs ever done was just a copy. With time they also started doing some post-install actions like setting up some registry settings and such. It's because Windows moved on from ini files to global registry to make it harder to "copy applications".

On the Linux site most configuration is text files so installation is mostly always just copying files into specific places. Some perverts though tried to port the registry to Linux, but fortunately most people are not retarded and don't do that for their applications.
>>
>>107675268
why does it even need that "drag and drop" step? wouldn't it be simpler if it just auto-populated the Applications directory when you run the installer?
>>
>>107675955
why drag tho
why not click once
it's not like I'm gonna install it somewhere else
>>
>>107675268
It is even simpler on windows, if you consider uninstalling.

Is that bad?

Why did valve based SteamOS off of arch instead of something like debian or fedora?
23 replies and 1 image omitted. Click here to view.

>>107671951
SteamOS 1.0 was based on Ubuntu, they realized it was a corporate steam pile of shit.
SteamOS 2.0 was based on Debian already and they also realized that it was a bigger pile of shit, but community and gay governed.
Now SteamOS 3.0 is based on Arch and they couldn't be any happier with it, so STALE meme distros lost, oh and Fedora is too corporate it wouldn't be any different than dealing with Windows.
>>
>>107671951
They just wanted the latest packages. But really there barely is anything Arch related still in there, they are basically doing their own thing now

They use Arch as the upsream source because they want the newest versions of packages. But they aren't using most Arch specific tools at all.

arch is way more secure and serious than those 2 cucktros.
while those 2 cucktros wring their hands about CoCs and allowing troons to vote for how many new LGBT wallpapers they will have this month, arch just quietly gets things done.
