There will be jail if they lose all their investor's money and sell the company in the cheap to Google or some other company with lots of money.
They will rush towards an IPO to avoid this, and they likely have time to get there.
The ends justifying the means have less to do with it than just simply stupid boomers in DC who can barely operate a phone not understanding the tech and falling for Jewish tricks, or being Jews themselves and always looking to take more goyem resources and give them to Israel. There is no finish line with current (LLM-based) AI tech. It would be like saying if we just pursue phone tech far enough, it will allow us to fly. It just doesn't make any sense.

It's RAM dude, RAM.
Your Intel CPU has had an entire embedded SoC in it running MINIX in it for 10 years now, I'm pretty sure AMD's PSP is the same.
A whole lotta people use TP-LINK and other Chinese routers.
Every version of Windows has backdoors and so does your phone which you carry all the time, if they wanted to the glowies can track you down and spy on you 1000 different ways.
You've got to put things into perspective.

IPS or OLED?

It is nonsensical to have to baby a display by using half a dozen "safety" features. I like CRTs and their motion clarity, but even I can admit that I'm glad we no longer worry about static elements on screen, or needing to use screensavers. OLED is just a disposable meme technology.
Use high end IPS displays while we wait for Micro LED to get cheaper and smaller.

Or you could enjoy an OLED while waiting for that and not have to suffer with the numerous drawbacks of IPS.

if you don't use your monitor like you would a flashlight then burn is an extremely minor issue. you're a complete retard if you keep your monitor at a bright level. get proper lighting in your space. brightness should never exceed 50%. also HDR is pure cancer

It boggles the mind that most monitors still don't have an ambient light sensor to adjust brightness and temperature, and that Windows has no native way to control monitor brightness unless you're on a laptop (KDE does this just fine).

No, as others have said.

If you have the autism and patience for it, start with your own engine. For the love of God don't get memed into reading C&R C book or any books at all at the start, just pick a language (Odin is probably a good start) and try to get things done in steps (e.g. create a window, then draw a triangle, so on so forth) by looking up how each one is done (this is even easier nowadays since AI will give you the answer in 10 seconds whereas you used to have to google for it which was at least 10 times slower).

If not, pick up Unity (easier) or Unreal (harder, but C++ will teach you somewhat real programming) and basically do the same: set a small goal, achieve it looking up the steps as they come, rinse repeat.
>>
>>107835486
>start with your own engine
dont do this as a beginner
>>
>>107835486
Why should I learn "real programming" when a hit game can be made in gamemaker, unity, unreal, godot, etc?
Why would you ever encourage people to reinvent the wheel?

Is there a way for my computer to detect that the display it's hooked up to is switched to a different source?

I want to have my PC hooked up to two monitors at once, but to also have a game console hooked up to one of them, and then when I change the source from PC to the game console's HDMI, for my PC's output to switch to the second monitor automatically so I can have both the console running and my PC stuff accessible at once

>why not just have the game console on one monitor and your PC on the other
That's what I do now, but due to speaker setup stuff, what I'm wanting to do would be more ideal

i can never decide whether i'm glad or mad that i never really used a Google Account. i made one when Google Mail was new. i recently tried logging in for some restricted YouTube video, it asked me to send a photo of my passport.

imagine asking something so ridiculous when Gmail was fresh. even just 'you MUST use your full name for Google+/YouTube comments' was met with (very reasonable) backlash.

He actually had a broken package in the install it was just really bad timing, none of that was his fault. It was fixed immediately afterwards. If he did the same thing on a not-broken install this would have never happened.
It was not smart in the first place to try and install Steam like he did but with a non-broken package it would install normally and then possibly not work correctly. It might need dependencies it doesn't list, or you might need to configure something else manually before it works, or certain features won't work in the program. It wouldn't tear down the desktop environment and if you found out it was fucked you could safely remove it the same way you added it.

Where he went wrong is forcing it through when it very clearly explained what will happen and how bad it will be instead of stopping and reporting it.
