Is this worth upgrading to Windows 11 from 10 ltsc for?Can you just turn on HDR and forget about it in 11?

Hi, I'd like to ask you for some advice. I love all the different landscapes found in nature and fantasy, the artificial things that humans build, like infrastructure, architecture and vehicles and all the different ways in which these things can be represented and stylised in art. I also like all the interactions, changes and transformations that these things can undergo, like modifying a vehicle or creating a new model based on an old one or on the demands of it's environment. I can spend hours on wikipedia just opening new tabs of interesting stuff. I would like to be able to accurately create these things as 3D art in all their interesting variety of details, shapes, colors and textures. I would also like these models to be based to some degree off of input data, kind of like procedurally generating an autistic world-building project. Eventually I would also like to be able to use these models for games or manufacturing/3d printing in case my autism is not satisfied with what's created by others.Sorry for being so long-winded, I understand that I'm a bit delusional and that what I want may not be possible, but I wanted to ask you, what are my options for achieving this or coming as close as possible? I have no experience so I don't know what programs and techniques exist and what are their advantages and disadvantages. I can learn fast and I'm passionate, but I also don't know how to program yet and the only modeling I've done was some 2D technical drawings in CAD, so I think an already existing engine and 3D software would be good, but I don't know enough to be able to tell if that is true and what I should choose or add. 3D modelling has very complicated technical aspects to it and modifiable, good looking terrain seems to be very hard to properly implement. The first thing that comes to mind is voxels, but they don't allow for a lot of detail and texture and I don't know of many other methodes due to my lack of experience, please tell me what you know.
>>107892231That's cute, but doesn't sound very appealing to me. Doesn't seem to have much to do with engine devving either.>>107892544Sorry, I can't help with that. The way you worded this makes me think of the AI generators for 3D models. Maybe that's the fastest way to get what you want.
>>107892544What level of detail are we talking? Any existing games with an artstyle you have in mind?If you want to complete anything substantial then solo modeling detailed stuff, especially realistic, is completely out of scope, that's why everyone is using photogrammetry, assets from a store or have a big team of artists.
>>107892544the most realistic art in games especially for outdoor environments is made by photogrammetry, literally 3D scanning the real world
>>107892544you can get pretty good results if you use a space octree and dual marching cubes

what do you guys think will be the next big programming language? like is rust going to replace c++? is something new going to come along?
There's nothing better on the horizon. We're entering a technological dark age.
What's stopping AI from just writing in assembly? Programming languages were made for it to be easier for humans to understand.
>>107892942 because AI is shit, that's why>Hey Israelgpt, can you write me a basic script?>sure thing goyim!>takes 120 minutes just to finish the response>and then there are 271 errors.AI isnt replacing anything anytime soon.
>>107892904away from opinions on language taste and technical merit. and away from what used to be the usual growing challenges in the way of getting to the mainstream. i think the likes of rust got lucky their ecosystem got relatively established before slop spam started flooding in. so you can trivially distinguish between crate A and B that supposedly does Foo based on age and number of dependants before needing to dig deeper.but how do you do that with an ecosystem that will need to bootstrap from scratch in the slop age? over-centralization (a la big-std) or anti-slop measures will backfire, as "smart" sloppers will develop ways to slip through, and you get all the downsides of the former if you go with it.to make matters worse, there are those who embrace the slop, and even actively and openly use it in developing their languages and language implementations (and that would obviously follow to the ecosystem). and this specific trend is just starting.(this comment is something i wanted to develop into a sort of a blog post full of examples i came across, with some usual peppered faux intellectualism ;);) that tickles some dev circles right. but i know i will be too lazy and bored to ever complete that.)
