This is not a drill, it's finally confirmed that China has a working EUV prototype since early 2025, it's just undergoing testing and verification right now, expected to enter large scale production by 2028-2030.

>In a high-security Shenzhen laboratory, Chinese scientists have built what Washington has spent years trying to prevent: a prototype of a machine capable of producing the cutting-edge semiconductor chips that power artificial intelligence, smartphones and weapons central to Western military dominance, Reuters has learned. Completed in early 2025 and now undergoing testing, the prototype fills nearly an entire factory floor.

>The availability of parts from older ASML machines on secondary markets has allowed China to build a domestic prototype, with the government setting a goal of producing working chips on the prototype by 2028, according to the two people. But those close to the project say a more realistic target is 2030, which is still years earlier than the decade that analysts believed it would take China to match the West on chips.

>The breakthrough marks the culmination of a six-year government initiative to achieve semiconductor self-sufficiency, one of President Xi Jinping's highest priorities. While China's semiconductor goals have been public, the Shenzhen EUV project has been conducted in secret, according to the people.

Refurbished is still $1000 or so.
No, I'm not spending $1000 on a used or refurbed 3090 which is barely an upgrade from what I have.

6000 series comes out in late 2026 / somewhere 2027. Ofc they gonna downsize production of their old cards. Can't have excess prev gen cards on the markets when rtx 6090 is released (unironically it will be $6090 too)

if your dataset has poor quality images or subpar captions, itll look bad. for example that dataset had images like https://files.catbox.moe/evwsef.jpeg but when the dataset is clean itll look really nice with little to no bad fingers or nonsensical text
but i also didnt use a regularization set
for settings, i just use the default onetrainer config

>It's literally to cut costs on copper
No, not really. It *could* be used for that but the cost of copper isn't that much all things considered so rather its used to be able to drive more power out of the outlets by using the same amount of copper.
So similarly as your average circuit is wired 120V 20A = 2400W , we use 230V 20A = 4600W for the same amount of copper.
I mean maybe you could save a little bit of copper even with same amperage circuits if you wire up every outlet in its own circuit because of the low voltage? While here its common to wire one circuit per bedroom so theres all the rooms outlets under the one circuit, as 4600W is plenty for the room.

How it affects normal daily life though is that you can do things like plug stuff on extension cords without worrying about it, whether you trip a breaker or not due to high draw is not something that people need to generally worry about, it doesnt matter if you use your stove and your kettle and microwave all at same time its all good
>>
>>107598784
i don't spend all day on black twitter
>>
>>107598807
You don't get what he is saying though and you are wrong here, the inline plug fuses ONLY make sense with the ring circuit and you having the ring circuit is the reason why the plugs in the switchboard are rated higher.

You clearly don't understand how the circuits in a normal radial setup work like the fuse in the switchboard serves the same function as your plug fuse, therefore the plug fuse aint needed
The switchboard fuse is rated to exactly what the circuit can handle it isnt some 50A fuse for the entire house but rather dozens of 20A fuses for each different circuit
There is no risk of overloading any particular circuit because they are not wired together but separate from each other
>>
>>107598583
>It's literally to cut costs on copper
lol
>which is why the US didn't have a problem with 120v stuff.
it did have a problem with it but undoing history seems to be impossible for americans to achieve. basically what happened is when edison created his dc system, it was 120v and he owned the market. everything you can think of requiring power conformed to this standard that edison had pulled out of his asshole based on what his network of street lamps required to operate. other generators that appeared also stuck to this 120v to power very same lamps. basically america fucked itself in ass over street lights and never recovered, all thanks to edison
