Seems complete. The Typeplus stabs do not need anything more than a little 205g0 so you can remove the tacky stab lubricant.
>>
>>107653528
I still have other stabs too, and who knows what the meta stabs will be in 2026? 2027? I'd rather be prepared. Wasn't planning to use it on the Typeplus.
>>
Ok I removed the GMK hat because that was actually just a joke* and I removed the tacky lube and I placed the order. I'm building a silent board for a friend at some point in the near future and it needs to have low-maintenance perfect stabs. I hope these are it.

*If my head were not comically enormous I might have actually bought it.
>>
>>107653583
Typeplus are as low maintenance as it gets. Set and forget. I stocked up on a bunch of them for my future builds, these will last for a very long time.

I think native UI is better. Web based UI over-complicates the browser.

Let them figure out the core of the engine, usability before doing this autismo. I imagine extensions are planned

why web based ui, they already mention qt for linux, windows
firefox uses gtk and provides ways to customization
ublock and plugins support is also promised

It may not need that, but some customization is needed if the default appearance is bad like what has happened with Firefox.

We have to go back. You might not like it, but this was peak performance.
>Windows was fast and snappy, before the bloat and spying came in Windows 10 and 11
>Metro tiles allowed for a quick fullscreen app selection which is much faster and more customizable and convenient than a small start menu
>bottom left mouse brings up fullscreen start menu
>same with windows button
>bottom right mouse brings up desktop

It was so clean, fast and elegant. I miss it. No Microsoft One drive constantly trying to steal and save your data in a data center, no integrated AI, it was a pure new Windows experience, and we need to go back.

what did 8.1 improve upon? the main thin' it did was bringing back the windows icon in the task bar. which felt like pure bloat, because it added no other functionality.

it is objectively superior

Hard disks fare better than SSDs and other flash memory. At least the bits don't fade over a few years without power. The motor bearings seizing up over decades does seem to be an issue though, and the way they're built you can't access the bearings to oil them without opening the drive and taking the platters out.
M-Disc is a better option. They can be read in any reasonable optical drive, and last 100+ years. Of course 100 years isn't that long in the grand scheme of things, and optical drives are already going out of production.
Converting the data into a visual representation like QR codes or similar and printing that on microfilm could store it much longer, so long as the microfilm is stored in good conditions. Similarly with laser etching it into blocks of glass, which is probably more durable.

Still, nothing beats the longevity or accessibility of writing it in multiple commonly used human languages and carving it into stone tablets. Long after all current tech has turned to dust and microfilm spoiled or been destroyed in fires, someone will still be able to read one or more of the languages on those tablets.
>>
>>107651336
10TB was never stable and that doesn't answer the question of needing fresh storage.
>>
>>107647352
If current storage prices are to high for you, your data is simply not valuable enough to be long time stored.

Having an actual achievable goal instead of a pipe dream of the most well-paid country manufacturing random cheap crap you'd need to sell 1000s of to pay for their minimum wage
Having an actual plan to do it beyond
>tariff
>???
>profit
Coordinating with allies so China can't just sell more elsewhere and we can fight transshipping together
Not tariffing shit required to actually setup local production
Coordinating with the political opposition to ensure any changes remain as long as necessary, providing the necessary stability for long-term investment
Not being appeased by personal gifts and random big numbers thrown at me
Maintaining high competetiveness in the industries instead of letting them snowball into bigger and bigger failures
Letting bad companies fail

That's for a start
China is winning, because in China if you have companies A, B and C doing the same thing, if B is shit they just fail and release their resources to the rest, then are replaced by D.

You can just use Claude Code. Even though the main purpose is for programming, you can easily tell it to do some other things. For example, I asked it to create a directory structure by years in my b folder, then I asked it to verify the exif data of each picture and move to the correct directory.
I could do that with a simple script, but I wanted to test out how well Claude could handle tasks like that. It kinda worked
>>
>>107651635
Define "general tasks".

If you give those AI Agents full access they can pretty much do anything as long as it has a text interface. They can even use GUIs by emulating mouse and keyboard with python commands.
>>
>>107651635
Claude code can do this for you. Just drop in whatever MCP you need. Careful with it executing commands though. It might fuck something if you're not careful.
