>Warning: TAESD previews enabled, but could not find models/vae_approx/NoneWhy do I keep getting this warning when my TAESD previews already work just fine?
>>106526860I only get that with Radiance, what model are you using?
>>106526889WAN. I guess it's because VideoHelperSuite already does previews and there's no taesd_decoder.pth/encoder to support wan previews natively?
Is Libreboot safe to use? When I read the lead dev's name was Leah, I instantly knew that it was a woman (male). I don't want binary blobs on my machine (coreboot), but I don't know if this new breed of devs are to be trusted. I have NOTHING against mentally ill people or trans individuals, I just don't know if I can trust them with my computer.(Why are they like this, anyway?)
>>106526712Once again, this is a false claim, see: >>106521386
>>106526721>This includes Intel ME by the way. It hasn't been shown to do anything bad.Nope, in 20 years, not a single neckbeard has presented any proof that they have done anything malicious.>>106526729>Qrd on why it still exists if it's covered in blobs? What is its actual purpose now?Adding blobs is optional in Libreboot.
>>106526729it still can be used to provide updated BIOSes to older computers and frankly I don't think they have bad intentions with their code.it's not "covered in blobs" either, afaik there is one blob they aren't open-sourcing. Nobody knows why. It's really weird because they do this and then advertise running it with mecleaner to disable/neuter Intel Management Engine. Just weirdly hypocritical, maybe they're planning on selling it to tech companies in the future? Who knows really.
>>106526786>not a single neckbeard has presented any proof that they have done anything malicious.ever heard of edward snowden?>ok well it COULD be used that way but they totally wouldn't do that! y-you're not even a journalist or a politician...!spare us the excuses, bloblicker
>>106526853>it's not "covered in blobs" either, afaik there is one blob they aren't open-sourcing.For clarification, Coreboot/Libreboot does not control or maintain any binary blobs. They simply have optional package for microcode updates. They have no ability to reverse engineer Intel or AMD microcode, not would it even be legal for them to do so.>>106526911>ever heard of edward snowden?Nothing in the Snowden leaks suggests that Intel is spying on people through the IME. If you have evidence to the contrary, by all means, please post it here.

Uber and uber eats has to be up there with the most insidious tech industry scams, they pay as little as possible to their drivers, some states now force them to make up the difference to 1.2x minimum wage + mileage as a weekly lump sum). They take a nice 35% cut from restaurants for having faciltated the transaction so stores just raise their prices 35% to break even, customers pay these increased fees plus delivery fees PLUS express surcharges if you want your delivery direct to your door and not tacked to the start of a massive 5 restaurant batched order where your shit will be tepid cold when it gets to you. They even manage to rob their own shareholders by cooking their accounting books so they never turn a reportable profit despite all this skimming off the top.

>>106526070Internal + the external yes. The primary battery is at 97% and the secondary is about 76% so that one needs replacing for sure
>>106526351when I meant capacity I meant how big it is. there are 3 different models for the external battery: 24Wh, 48Wh and 72Wh. the latter is obviously more desirable but like I can said it's easy to get another one anyway (the 24Wh model is the most common, if you have that and it's the one at 76% health, get a 72Wh and you'll have great battery life on that machine)
are there any thinkpads which are capable of running with 0 binary blobs?
>>106526598What is the obsession with blobs? Almost nothing made in the last two decades can run without some proprietary firmware. Even Libreboot ThinkPads that don't require IME (the Core 2 chipsets) still have some blobs such as the EC.

you used to be able to host a simple html website through Glitch (an online html editor) no server storage or anything fancy like that but I got a kick out of making silly sites. turns out they're shutting down or something and all my websites are gone, do you guys know of any programs that allow you to display a basic html page in the browser and link other people to it? not needing any user interactive stuff like javascript capabilities, i just want to display the code.this stuff probably costs money most of the time but if there are any cool sites like glitch that haven't gone under yet it would be really neat to use.
