Big search engines like Google and Bing are well known to track searchers activity and sell that data to advertisers — which is why many of us don’t feel comfortable searching freely anymore.
If you’re looking for more private alternatives, here are a few I’ve come across. I’d love to hear what others are using too!

DuckDuckGo – Great for simple, untracked searches
Startpage – Delivers Google results without the profiling
Brave Search – Strong privacy with its own independent index
MyAllSearch – Clean interface with a focus on user privacy
Qwant – GDPR-compliant, with servers based in Europe
Dogpile – A metasearch engine that pulls top results from Bing, Yandex, and more

Please share anymore Iv'e missed, I'm always curious to discover new ones.

I'm just a sad, bitter loner who finds more joy in whining and dunking on everything than actually contributing. 10/10, would wallow in self-pity again.

I like dogpile.com, which is an old provider that combines search results from a number of different engines. There's also yandex for images which can be cool. I like nudevista for tube site video streaming hits. I'll check out your sites op. I don't care much if people are tracking me but I think if I ever did it would have had to be covered from like the time I was in high school, which it hasn't and that was about 20 years ago. As far as I'm concerned, there's no way I'm going to have genuine anonymity. Thanks for the options

This is kinda cool I think: https://static.semrush.com/blog/uploads/files/39/12/39121580a18160d3587274faed6323e2.pdf

I'm not a programmer, but I work in IT. Is there a way to actually protect images/videos from being used for AI training? I'm pretty sure it's impossible due to the nature of images/videos (even if you were to encrypt something, you could just screenshot whatever it is and circumvent it or edit out any sort of border/watermark either with Photoshop or AI). This is more of a curiosity thing, I don't really want a solution since I use AI all the time to jork it.

1. shader compilation or loading assets from disk
2. swapping, either from VRAM to RAM, or from RAM to disk
3. just poor game programming
4. computer not powerful enough for the game and your chosen settings

>>106531939
Memory usage is quite hard to measure. Your OS will cache as much as it can to RAM for performance reasons.
Many applications allocate much more memory than they need but don't actually use it, web browsers do this a lot.
When the OS determines that it's low on memory, it starts squeezing caches and may inform applications that memory needs to be reclaimed (browsers will suspend background tabs at this point), and start swapping to disk.
At this point there are more programs, all running perfectly fine despite those initial readings showing that there was no available memory.
TLDR: unused RAM is wasted RAM

£159 per year. As mentioned previously, owning a TV is not a requirement, viewing TV channels on your tablet through some website also counts.

>>106533210
Maybe.
If it is connected through some adapter then that may be reporting incorrectly. Or your OS may be reading it incorrectly, try a live CD.

Same as all the other taxes, really.
Some people pay tens of thousands in taxes every year, others never work in their life and still enjoy the same schools/hospitals/roads/parks/defense/voting rights.

I've tried to move to Firefox from Chrome, but Firefox is just so fucking clunky it's unbelievable.
It has so many annoying quirks that make it a pain to use.

i also moved to shitefox couple of months back when google released update that killed bunch of my extensions. it sucks ass, but somehow i made it work about 50% as good as chrome. the absolute worst part is using firefox on android, it is THE worst internet browser for smartphone that i ever used. it sucks so hard that it puts dolphin on nokias symbian to shit

im not coming back tho. i WILL keep reinstalling revanced until i die. google can go fuck themselves

i will say this though. i think i finally understand apple sheep. in last 5 or 6 years google has slowly been building its own walled garden and it was pain to get out of its comfort. apple sheep have that in common, geting used to the safe zone. combined with lack of intelligence its no wonder they will set a tent and wait for 10 days for a phone they could overnight the next day anyway

I would back up important data, buy a new boot drive, and clean reinstall the OS.
Even if the motherboard was at fault, an extra NVMe drive isn't a terrible purchase.
You don't need a high-capacity boot/OS drive either.

If CrystalDiskInfo isn't catching anything irregular, skip the new drive purchasing part and do a clean reinstall.
Reset BIOS settings to factory defaults & maybe update it.
