Kimi K2.5 is actually great, sometimes comparable to Gemini for captioning quality, will do NSFW with proper prompting and certainly far better than the Joycaption meme.
If you are VRAMGOD who can run it under a sane quant, give it a go. Seems to be the best non-Saas alternative right now. Seems significantly less capable at recognizing people/characters and more prone to hallucinating them than Gemini though, that's one quickly apparent difference.
Otherwise impressive VLM performance for an open weight model.

Who the hell told you this?

Ram was at a historic all time low because they made too much capacity during lockdown expecting the world to need more hardware perpetually. That didn't happen and thus the price cratered.

The price you see now is very close to the new normal it will maybe go down from 400 to 300 but not reach the unprofitable lows we saw two years ago. That will most likely never happen again.

it sounds like you're thinking about relying on it a bit more exclusively than i think you should. llms are one tool in a large toolbox, not your sole source of guidance. don't be afraid to search google, check documentation, read guides, or seek out discussions as well. if you think you're missing something, approach it from multiple angles so you can get a sense of what you're missing. introductory guides are a great starting point in terms of structure, you might want to start there instead of just outright starting with an llm. but often they'll talk about something that goes over your head early on, so you can ask an llm to give more info in places where there are gaps. don't be afraid to bounce back and forth between whatever tools are available to you, including llms.

>Do you think it's a good way to go about it?
yes. one of the oldest teaching methods is the socratic method, basically asking probing questions to get you to think about thinks you might not have considered and come to conclusions on your own. you don't want it to just feed you the answer, understanding how you got there both teaches you the fundamental concepts which are often applicable elsewhere but also just helps you remember things.

I only have 1 active PC I did a windows reinstall and it didn't help, but the USB with windows originated from that pozzed pc.
I was wondering if it would make a difference to:
>create usb with some linux distro
>format everything
>install linux on new partition
>re-write all of the disc space unused by os
>create a new linux distro installer on a fresh never used usb
>repeat the wipe and reinstall (probably unnecessary step, but why not do it?)
>create a windows installer on fresh never used usb
>install windows
But I'm not sure if this will work as the initial linux distro will originate on that pozzed pc.
Also, if it's gotten onto hardware firmware I guess this will achieve nothing. I'm not sure if there's a way to unpozz all of the firmware at the same time, and I fear that if I try to unpozz the firmware of SSDs I will just brake them. I don't know shit about firmware so I'm not even sure which ones can get pozzed, can it get onto firmware of display monitors connected via HDMI?
As for the BIOS rootkit, Bitdefender says it's all ok, but then Bitdefender is 100% blind to this spyware so far and when I ran it in white-list-only network traffic it didn't detect the spyware sending the packets, while wireshark did detect it, which I found very odd.

could be some bullshit chainloading from the usp or the recovery partition or something. load up the windows install media and run diskpart, select the correct disk, and run the following commands
clean
create part primary
format fs=ntfs quick

then install to that. if it's still having issues, it's more likely something plugged into the computer.

alternatively, since you mentioned you've done packet inspection shit, just pin down what application or service is sending the traffic. sysinternals tcpview can help, i think sysinternals process monitor can as well but it's a bit more of a sledgehammer whereas tcpview is tailor-built for that. either way, that'd at least point you in the right direction about wtf is going on and you can probably just rip its guts out from winpe/winre.

also, was one of the AVs you tried mbam? because if not, try that.
>>
>>108514224
>>108514253
also, first line is assuming you plan to proceed with reinstalling windows. obviously this will nuke your drive.
>>
>>108514224
>the USB with windows originated from that pozzed pc.
clean and setup the usb key with diskpart, then use something like rufus to prepare the installer, make sure the install media hashes are correct versus known good ones online.

if you're worried about it being some firmware bullshit, just grab your vendor's latest bios/uefi update and upgrade to it

if the majority of the computing is handled by ffmpeg there is basically no reason to not use python, or something else interpreted. python3 is on most linux distro by default so that isn't a deal breaker either. i would bet that more than 95% of the computing is done by ffmpeg when you download a video.

That'd prevent people from applying to faraway jobs, unless the company's covering your stay for the week, and giving you time to move for real afterward.
>>
>all that shit for a job
Best I'll do is 2 interviews. The first one should be a Teams-style online interview. If they still like me and I still like them I can come over and do the next interview in person, on their travel cost of course, and if they still want me and I still want to be hired they can offer me a contract.

The second they start talking about me doing work for them, homework, or preparing cases in my spare time I'm out. You want me to work for you then you hire me.
I don't do freebies.

I enjoy the fact that people who lack a strong understanding of the algorithm vs the medium expect the world will somehow change when the exact same people are still around except digital, because they can;t even mentally engage with the premise; but I enjoy it even more because they'll be committing suicide in the long run and within 60 years they'll all be dead due to their dogmatism...
That's nice to think about anyways, but in reality you faggots just lack self awareness and will "know it when you see it", so as soon as brain uploading is popular and clearly successful (ie the people are the same before and after upload) you'll suddenly have always supported brain uploading and all the arguments you scoffed at before will suddenly become meaningful. C'est la vie.
