>>107562729What? I've been seeing it at least since the great newfag influx of 2016.
>>107561943Good. I've been driving half of my colleagues crazy this year by calling everything slop. Slop food, slop work, slop this slop that. Part of my job is teaching, and I enjoyed seeing the zoomers cringe when I use words like slop. Called vegan food goyslop in front of a vegan colleague and he did not enjoy that. I am a menace to society.
>>107561943some interesting observations here clouded by people memeingone is how quickly 4chan culture is adopted into the mainstream through the 4chan to reddit to twitter to everyone pipeline these daysi suspect way more crossover between platforms than beforethe second is how the fuck is this place still such a massive force of internet culture after all these years, we're down in popularity, half the posts are from bots, and we've been through a rotation of audiences that would make the ship of theseus jealousand yet.
>>107561943Didn't this shit literally come into popularity because of "goyslop" being used here which then got turned into a bunch of other "___slop" versions which slowly sifted out to other sites before finally solidifying as "AIslop"?

BRAVO FAGMAN! AGI IN 2 WEEKS SIRS
They're killing AI by training it specifically to do good in benchmark tests. They no longer care about it actually being useful or not, they're just trying to have it look good on paper by doing well in tests to get more investments.

There are serious injustices with critical web infrastructure. FOSS devs are underpaid/not paid at all. Take Denis Pushkarven's tragic story. Despite maintaing crucial web infrastructure he's broke. I think the solution is for unpaid devs is to stop maintaing & let the system temporarily collapse, make corporations beg for it back. Bargain for a fair wage. But most people on Fediverse disagree with me and think the EU should take full control, arguing server infrastructure should be overseen by the highest levels of the European Gov. I am asking for market consequences to manifest. But they as for strong centralized Government. I suggested that devs like Pushkarven switch to GPL3 and then show off software updates locally, Upload a YT video showing off the highlights of offline not released fully functional core-JS updates, but don't redistribute the code, instead say they will only distribute code publicly for a large $10,000 dollar fee. See how much bargaining power it has. It doesn't violate the GPL/MIT to show demos of unreleased software and request bargain payment for release, but the GPL3 is better because it demands reciprocity, if code is modified they must return the favor. We can also normalize paying for feature request all around, the software is free but asking for features is labor expect paying for thatDebate: Do we need Government in the FOSS server realm? It looks to me like the Europeans on Mastodon can't tell the difference between voluntary community driven projects & a strong centralized welfare state, they act like these are the same thing. To them Government and Community are synonomous terms. I don't understand why the claim of allowing the system to temporarily collapse until maintainers are paid a fair wage is controversial? I don't understand why they think everything should be free as in beer. Its odd to see self declared "anarcho communist support the EU.

>>107561690>Do we need Government in the FOSS server realm? No, but we also don't need neckbeards holding the entire world hostage.Set up an AI system to maintain it. Problem fucking solved.
>>107563797t hese corporations probably don't even know how to maintain the software themselves, it requires specialist for long term matinance. these neckbeards deserve a fair pay, and it should come from supply and demand not a centralized beuracratic state.

Technology has gone too far. Companies are obsessed with making phones as thin as possible but is that really what the consumer wants? I've never heard anybody express that that's next improvement they're lusting for. They're already way too thin making the the experience less satisfying because the feeling in the hand is horrible.(I don't use a case)
>>107562539I am done buying smartphones, datamining and I notice both Apples & Google app stores are more spammy with datamining spamware, so I am done spending money on their restricted hardware, I'm in the market for a battery powered Linux handheld with wifi, I'll buy the cheapest phone I can find for a hotspot
Thin phone = non-user replaceable battery = phone physically obsolete well before its true lifespan = new purchaseSame reason you get shit repair-ability on cars. Product designs from for-profit companies are inherently compromised by their revenue-maximizing goal.Exhibit A: spyware/ad-riddled Windows 11 vs privacy-respecting Linux
>>107562539Stick it in her pooper
>>107562539I don't care about thin, and screens are too large. I should be able to hold the phone in one hand and reach the entire screen with my thumb. Also no headphone jack no sale.
