You're a contrarian faggot
You're in a space where tech conscious people post and don't want to be molested by big tech. Shut the fuck up you're only proving why you father hates you.
This thread at it's core is a bait thread by some schizo with some vendetta against this project. We don't have alternatives Calyx is fucking dead atm and lineage is not as good
>>
>>107551399
The GOS team has repeatedly shown that they prioritize security over everything else, including privacy which is why some of their recommendations (use play store over aurora, chromium over firefox) sound counter intuitive, but there is a good reason for everything they say.
It's ultimately up to (You) to decide where you fall on the Security/Privacy spectrum.

Also they shit on desktop Linux quite a bit but they do recommend Qubes with Fedora or SecureBlue.
>>
>>107553810
For Linux desktop they recommend avoiding Debian and using up to date distros. They seem to be in the camp of "more updated = more secure" which a lot of /g/ is against.

>Debian has much worse security than the baseline of an OS that's receiving proper updates and not applying very misguided patches and configuration changes including enabling a bunch of services by default upon installation. Recommend using Fedora or Arch if you want to at least have the baseline security provided by the upstream projects, which is quite poor for a lot of that desktop software stack but you can at least avoid having ancient software with a subset of security patches backported and many new problems introduced.
>>
>>107553831
/g/ is against updating because most of them are itoddlers/winbabbies and updates just add bloat and break things. From a security perspective being out of date us horrible.

The best and brightest C programmers agree: Rust belongs in the Linux kernel!
https://lwn.net/Articles/1049831/
This board tries it's best to portray C and Rust as polar opposites, but in the end they serve the same purpose. Good C programmers have always respected Rust programmers and vice versa. Only the fizzbuzzers and jeets want a language war between C and Rust.

Why do they want it? Because if you split the systems language ecosystem, there will be less competition to their electron/react garbage (see Windows 11 start menu)
Everyone except Indians agrees that anything written in Rust or C is much better than electron garbage. That is why it is important to be friends and allies, not enemies

>Any tips on how to further diagnose/repair the issue or am I pretty much fucked?
You can try to swap crossovers from one another (or speakers if that's easier)
>>
>>107553115
>>107553471
It was a simpler issue than expected. The rubber surrounding the woofer is so old that a small portion of it split apart, same as this guy's problem, but far pronounced (about 2 inches of the circumference are affected on mine):
https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/cambridge-audio-s30-damage-repair.427286/
When I gently put my finger on that part to stop it from resonating, the distortion is gone. I suppose I can try to glue it back together, but it's probably just a matter of time before it all goes to shit. Shame, because otherwise these speakers are great.
>>
>>107553499
far less pronounced, that is.
>>
>>107553499
You can change rubber surrounds. It's relatively simple but will require a bit of time.

what is this retard math? is this bait?

their spending includes new infrastructure, they're literally building like $200bn dollars of new servers right now. this isnt their cost to operate by any metric. so if they can actually get 300bn in revenue before all the servers are online, theyre gonna have no issues getting more money and convincing investors that 1t in revenue is possible
