> It’s not a hallucination. It’s reproducible

You don't know what the word "hallucination" means. A hallucination is not a random anomaly. It is a circumstance where the maximum likelihood solution (what the model will produce) is disconnected from the ground truth of the problem due to generalization/modeling errors.

If you repeatedly fix the seed and ask model who the current president of the US is and it tells you it's Bart Simpson, that doesn't mean the model is correct or giving you an accurate result. That just means with that seed and that hidden state, the maximum likelihood solution is wrong.

Interesting.
There's so little space inside the unit that I have real concerns about how much airflow the drives will get (also I'm not sure if I could even find m.2 heatsinks that will fit), but I'm still tempted to try and install TrueNAS on one drive and run the others as ZFS mirrors.

How hard would it be to rig up a SATA DoM to use a standard SATA power connector for power, and use one of those for a boot disk to save on space? Most DoMs seem to use a proprietary pinout and/or include a 4 pin molex adapter for power but I'm not finding any basic adapters (for sale and in stock anywhere at least) to take advantage of the existing power connector that's right there.

You guys are probably the most likely to be knowledgeable about this. Can anyone explain to me how domain privacy works?
For example on namecheap, according to https://www.namecheap.com/support/knowledgebase/article.aspx/278/37/what-is-domain-privacy/, they claim another company "puts their details on the whois database" - while supposedly you still own the domain. As far as I'm aware, you are indeed the legal owner according to ICANN, right? Or is that privacy company the actual entity leasing the domain from the TLD registrars, and effectively subleasing it to you?

As another example, Njalla is known to "buy domains in their name" to provide "anonymous domains" but they are also know to just seize customer domains because actually when you go through them, legally you own nothing. So I'm trying to understand the difference between Njalla's business model and Namecheap's one, or whether there is a material difference in the first place or whether it's just a matter of reputation and enforcement.

Another example is NiceVPS which also claims to "register the domain in your name", but doesn't have Njalla's reputation. So again I wonder how it relates, legally and technically speaking, to either Namecheap's model or Njalla's one, or whether there's no difference between any of them.

Yep. Had to order an out of production mounting bracket to rotate it horizontally (I think the new offset mounts can also work) since it's supposed to be vertical for natural convection airflow (but then it would be obstructed by GPU, idk what was Noctua thinking)
Also my build IS 5800x3d. P1 has enough mass to soak ~4 minutes worth of cinebench before it starts throttling and score drops some 5% when it reaches thermal equilibrium.

Windows 11 is so garbage, even the LTSC IoT, it started BSODing because of the OneDrive for some reason, and that started happening after I've installed it and all updates on top a week before.

That's just me, however. Never before did I have any issues with Win10 LTSC IoT, so I'm going back to that until software for win10 stops being updated

It's not musl that makes Alpine simple. Sure, it's one reason, but not _the_ reason. Everything in Alpine is just extremely simple. Busybox is simple. The package manager is simple. Openrc is simple. It just works. And it fucking flies too.

Slackware niggers unironically want you to install every single package in their repos. How is having to have Gnome, KDE and XFCE installed in my computer at the same time because my package manager can't follow dependencies simple? "Just install 5000 packages in your computer bro". Half-assed =/= simple.
>>
>>107531521
I don't think so. I'm sure you can install packages from -current, but I don't think you can upgrade the whole system to -current.

are you still living in 2021 or something?
tlc dramless (with hmb) nvme drives (that perform slightly better in random and much better in sequential speeds compared to an high end sata tlc with dram) have been on average significantly cheaper than sata for a long time, nvme is only more expensive when looking at pointlessly high end drives (which of course doesn't make any sense to compare to a sata drive but retards still like to do that for some reason, and even then it's like the same price).
back in october I got a 2 tb tlc dramless kioxia exceria plus g3 for 100€, a 2 tb bx500 (one of the shittiest dramless qlc sata drive you can buy) was 150, most high end satas aren't even available anymore (mx500/870evo are both discontinued)
with current prices, a stupid pointless gen 5 nvme is only 20% more expensive than a qlc dramless sata, do i have to make more examples? don't think so
